Happy Easter everybody
Talking of foot-in-mouth - I was celebrating a birthday a few years ago and among the guests was an old friend and his new wife. Came to choosing pudding and I really liked the sound of one dish called Kentucky Souffle Cheesecake. I said, with a sigh, 'why does everything have to be called American? If it hadn't got an American name I'd have chosen it'. A friend nudged me and whispered 'Jim's new wife is American!' Fortunately she was very good about it, said it happens all the time, and went on to offer to introduce me to her cousin who lives in the one city I've always wanted to visit, but I still wanted that hole in the ground to open up and swallow me.
The pudding was delicious and we're very good friends today
Have a sunny rest of the day.0 -
Eggs everywhere, but BoP does not waste his money on senseless things! Happier easter.
5 Managed to drag body to not only another Friday. But a good one too. Buns hot and crossed on fire, toasting. Sun is out!
4 Make use of yellow thing, it is not going to last! And my weather apps are competing who has greater weather warning! Whatever did we do when we only had Burt Ford and one minute!
3 Watching cricket, just wanting the Caribbean beach cricketers to win, then all we have to do is ...
2 Nite. Snorkers will be on the fired up bbq. Served with pork chop. Please be aware that cooking food on bbq is dangerous, and could leave to ill health. Cook thoroughly. Not like carbonisation.
A different kind of backflip!

Some pleasures for for the last few days,
Made it through the working day, had meeting with my boss and didn't mince words as to what I think about the lack of procedures etc in the department. Apparently they all think am doing a fantastic job and think am real asset to the company, who knew!! :rotfl:
Smashing meal out with my brother on Thursday night, we go out just the two of us every couple of months or so for our sibling catch-up and just talk through what's going on in our lives. It's a tradition us three kids started decades ago, we like to think our beloved bro is still with us in spirit.
Drive home through the awful rain and spray on the A11, pleasure was getting home safely and in one piece.
Yesterday was gorgeous, sunny and warm. Spent time in the garden pottering around and seeing all the buds and spring flowers. The big dog had one of the space hoppers out of the shed and enjoyed herself immensely. FYI we have space hopper races in the summer :rotfl:
Another meal out yesterday at Mum's, lunch which was delic, brought her back to ours to stay over and be with us.
Over to see my boy, had a gentle walk down the lane in the late afternoon sunshine, perfick x0
