Hi all hope you are well
Molly- people wont get help unless they are ready sometimes it's best to cut the ties before its too late, and sometimes you need to do the best for you. It seems as though you did the right thing for you. Take comfort in your pleasures they are lovelyand remember the good things about the person, not what the drugs and alcohol did to them.

2. Taking pen pen out on her lead into her new garden. She does love it so

Hi all
Thanks for appreciating my long rambling posts, all, and sorry to disappoint, today is a quick one as I haven't started cooking dinner yet!
Here are my pleasures for the day:
1 - Glorious weather again, looks like spring is really here!
2 - Seeing the first of my radishes popping their little green leaves out of the earth.
3 - 4 jars of plum jam made, out of a £1 bowl of plums bought in the market a few days ago, cooked and frozen waiting for me to have time to turn into jam (I have the time now!).
4 - Not wanting to waste a pot of tea gone cold, soaked raisins and made a teabread-ish cake - it came really nice, surprisingly because I am not a very experienced cake-maker.
5 - Morsbagging with my friend, managed to sew 4 bags while she cut and ironed other ones. The morsbag scheme at our local shops is going really well and all shop-keepers are really happy for us to keep supplying them.
6 - This is the BEST! At long last I have turned my first collar! DH has just seen it and he said it is very well done and he will keep wearing the shirt for work as it looks new. I am SO PROUD! I feel I have fully earned my OS Badge now, as I have 1 Side-to-Middling sheet and 1 turned collar under my belt!
I hope you all have a great evening xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

You have inspired me to make jam from reduced fruit!! I alwayslook at it and think "hmm.,..is it worth it, how much jam will I get" but I will give it a go, in my birthday present jam-pan!
Also, congratulations on your newly completed collar turning! :TClearing debt to save for a simple wedding.Starting 2016 With debt of £77000 -
Wow Caterina you are a domestic goddess!
Once the pain killers kicked in this morning I made a start on my pleasures:-
1. A large pan of soup, carrot, apple and celery made with bacon stock.
2. Ironing some of the washing I did yesterday and putting some back in the basket, well the duvet cover won't be needed until autumn and I have got a bad leg.
3. Made £21 on sales of hand crafted cards:T
4. Baked granary rolls, mincemeat brownies and chocolate fairy cakes.
5. DD and the DGK's popped in and we had afternoon tea in and around the summer house.

Good evening all,
I'm back after a month up in Birmingham with Dear Dad. Although the reason was sad (passing of Dear Mum), there were a lot of positives most of which were Old Style.
Here are a few of my OS blessings over the last few weeks
Meeting, talking to and hugging lots of people I had not seen in a long long time including Canada and Cyprus.
Lots of one to one time with Dad
Filling his freezer with home made ready meals.
Sitting at the bedroom window in Brum watching 2 squirrels playing kiss chase in the spinney opposite.
Watching the different birds that visit dads bird table
Going to a shopping complex near dads with a £10 M & S gift token and a request for new slippers - got what I thought was a £15 pair (then found out at the check out that they were £1) plus a new set of kitchen scales and a small sit in pan steamer so with the gift voucher it all cost only £3.
Lots of de-cluttering and cleaning done, dad now feels happier that the house is back to the way it used to be before mum was ill.
My lungs did not play silly devils and land me in hospital in Brum.
Dear son has got a new job that he loves
Kitty is growing in to a big brave girl who loves the big wide world outside - but has not yet got past stalking bees, butterflies and spiders.
The washing is all going out on the line 'cause the sun is shining.
Housework at home is nearly all done and looking almost normal. It matters not if you try and fail, and fail and try again; But it matters much if you try and fail, and fail to try again.

Molly - sorry to hear your sad news and sorry to hear about your mum, Wogglemaker. Glad things went OK while you were with your dad.
5 for today.
1) Sons helped me paint over 2 little spots in their room where the blue had flaked off.
2) They've done lots of scootering today, some outside the house then we also went for a longer ride.
3) Planted out my parsley seedling (cue severe frost!) and dug over the front strip of garden and re-laid the brick edging. People keep parking on the pavement and squashing the bricks in.
4) Had a lovely walk befoe tea, right across the village and out along the footpath where there is a pool with trees around it. Each son has a "base" where I can have an imaginary cup of tea. :-)
5) Had a good tidy, did 2 loads of washing and cleaned the bathroom.

Evening all
mine for today.
1. Getting onto work early and decorating a collegues desk as it was her birthday
2. Lovely cake this morning at work made by lady who's birthday it was - Vanilla sponge filled with fresh strawberries and cream, yum
3. Trip to the pub at lunch time as someone was retiring today as well
4. Walking home from work and it still being warm and sunny. I didn't leave work until after 6:30 so this was really unexpected
5. Enjoying a glass of Toffee Vodka, bought at the Ideal Home Show, it is so yummy
6. It's Friday:j:j:j
Hugs to all who need them. Molliethewestie you have nothing to feel guilty about you did what was right for you and your family which is all you can do.0
