VJsMum - Captain Scarlet will be available for wasp net disposal once all those pesky Mysterons have dispatched.....oh and totally agree on your no 10 pleasure :rotfl:
  • Captan bloody Scarlet! Joe 90 and Tommy Gun is BoP!

    VJsMam. Crumble on lass!

5 BoP regrets to announce that the Xmas cake so seeped in single malt, not brandy, is in dire straits. It will not make Easter. In fact it will not make the weekend! Rubs Tum.

4 Video making today, so more later. Oh, and maybe a little bit of tossing around! Pancakes thyat is!

3 PM2DD. We will be relying on the playoffs this year as the fish skinners left a trout on the road.

2 Night we believe in Arsene! Bring it on!

With the foundation in your heart, you will not be troubled.

  • 1) Just had a phone call from Mollie the Collies Grandparents who normally have her with them in the day to see if I will have her tomorrow morning as they have a hospital appointment, love Mollie to bits, looking forward to doggie companionship.

    2) Another beautiful day today and another lovely Cookie walk along the lanes where many flowering shrubs are beginning to make quite a show so today we passed berberis, kerria, mahonia, viburnum and magnolias starting to look very springlike and brightly coloured.

    3) Easter presents for friends small ones have arrived in the post this morning and are as lovely as I'd hoped they'd be. Think the girls they are destined for will enjoy them very much.

    4) Had a friend pop in for a cuppa this afternoon, she's in a course of chemotherapy at present so it was nice to have tea, light the stove and chat, we lost a couple of pleasant hours that way.

    5) I'm getting to look after the Zebra on Monday, his daddy has a commitment that means he can't do the evening pick up from nursery so I'll go on Sunday and have an Oma day with the boy at home on Monday and lots and lots of fun!

I took one of our animals to a new to us vet yesterday as he just wasn’t right the previous night. But being a new vet the rapport just isn’t there yet, being honest I’m not convinced. But the news was bad, our little man has a tumour in his stomach that has spread around his heart. He’s not in pain but they can’t operate. They have provided us with steroids and a diuretic to keep him comfy but said we literally have a week, maybe 2. So it’s been tearful, but we are going to enjoy our cuddles for as long as he’s comfortable.:(

    1. Glad we keep and maintain a completely separate vet fund to deal with emergencies, so glad of this forum.:)
    2. Did a flying visit to DF running his errands on the way phew, he sweetly made a donation to the vet fund which we put straight in it when we got back in.
    3. DF kindly treated us to lunch.
    4. Complete fake away tonight in form of oven pizza and garlic bread.
    5. The slow seedlings are coming up, sweet peppers, flowers, and tomato seeds moved to the airing cupboard.:)
    6. Lots of calls about work, and positive interview feedback but no firm offer yet.
I'm going to make some banana bread later as I can't throw out the blackened banana's:rotfl:

Sorry to hear that, PK. :-(

    Lovely Aberdyfi, VJsmum.

Quick pleasures for today as it is getting late:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Not a bad day at work. I've had a pay rise! Don't get excited - it's only because the "living wage" has been adopted by the council so they've had to put my pay up so it reaches that. :-/

    3) Sunny, if cold.

    4) Sons went out to a tool auction so I went to Sainsburys for me tea then shopping.

    5) Got a few jobs done before they got home.

    6) Sat in bed at 9 to read more of my book then realised it was 11.20 and smaller son was playing on the laptop! (albeit in bed). Bigger son was pretty much asleep.

    7) Just topped up the hwbs and will listen to Susan Calman if her series is still on.
  • Pleasures for today were

    1) I made a wholemeal loaf in the breadmaker which was gorgeous came out much nicer than white usually does

    2) watched Grantchester. I really enjoy it, but I like Robson Green.

    3) tried a new recipe. Colourful Mash in my slow cooker from TheTwoChubbyCubs. It's SW friendly and was rather tasty. Much nicer than plain mash.

    4) had long cuddles with my youngest cat, he loves his mum.

    5) feeling slightly better although not quite well enough to go back to work yet.

Hope everyone had a good day

A day spent most quietly ( lazily or energy preserving!)

Too hot but a few cooler days ahead.

Called friend from home and had a good blether with her.

Stripped bed ...just need to remember to make it before bedtime! Dried outside in half an hour.

Had a baked potato for my lunch. Love a baked spud! Corned beef, cheese and a very nippy onion.

Sprawled on sofa most of afternoon. Just felt quite tired.

Back to work tomorrow for 4 days ...could see it far enough but needs must...and who knows I might enjoy myself!

    Have a lovely day :)
