Happy birthday, Lainey!
Pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) I suppose there have been worse days at work.
3) Went to visit my mum and sons came with me (smaller son is incredibly squeamish and gets stressed out about hospitals). As we got to the (locked) ward doors, some poor man inside went "Aaaaarrrrrghgh!!!!" and smaller son nearly ran at that point.
Anyway, mum is doing OK (thanks for the good wishes) and looked the healthiest person on the ward! The morphine must be good because, without a change in tone so I believed it to be real for a while, she told us she had been in a buggy, exploring Thailand! Smaller son stayed at the foot of the bed but was fine. She will be in hospital a week or more then it is quite a long recovery.
4) Had salmon for tea, baked then stirred into pasta with mayo and peas. A quick favourite here.
5) Really enjoyed Gogglebox and the Last Leg.
6) Sons did the washing up and took the covers off their beds.
7) In bed now with 1 hwb and about to listen to the News Quiz/Now Show (can never remember which it is).0 -
So pleased to hear your DM is on the road to recovery Frith. I agree with others, God bless the NHS:T
A belated Happy Birthday Lainey, hope you had a super day
A belated Happy Anniversary to BoP and Mrs Bopsie, chocolate/orange/lemon drizzle, back row (snuggles?) and wobbleade, all sound like a perfect celebration
1. No exercise class yesterday due to exacerbation but I had a good, if quiet day at home and it meant a NSD/NPD
2. Pottered, tidied the bags of wrapping paper, gift bags, greetings cards etc. A few bit to throw away but a still have enough to open a shop.
3. Odds of sewing and mending, a few loose buttons, darned a pair of wooly tights using my Grandma's mushroom which still has the original needles in, then tidied the sewing box. Lots of lovely little treasures and memories
4. Very little sleep last night so after a breakfast of mushrooms and egg on toast I have my feet up on the sofa with two furry little 'blankets' snuggled up to me, and we'll zzzz off and on throughout the day. It does mean another NSD/NPD, every cloud and all that...
Happy Saturday0 -
Anniversary weekend continues! Thirty years, going on Twenty Nine!
5 Thirty years ago the sausages came out of the can! This morning mega anniversary snorker fest. With best back, grilled herbed toms, poached egg, and mushrooms. Washed down with toast! Rubs Tum!
4 Had wobbleades inn town last night. Train there and bank. Big Worcester train, but one stop only. Had tikka bites and dog burger. Rubs Tum!
3 O'clock will be eared into wireless for football. PM2DD#UTM
2 Night, after last days flicks, will be snuggled up with BoPsie and a Rita! Wobbleades have been liberated from emporium, cheap firkins at arf price! Lovely!
Been a bit rough these thirty years, but I kept my hair. 100% pure bristle!0 -
