Some pleasures for last couple of days

    1. Having some time to myself to be productive writing wise, had initially thought would use the office but have found the corner of the sofa facing out to the fields most beneficial.

    2. Took three big bags of secondhand books over to DM, her church has Christmas Bazaar today.

    3. My lovely Farrier said he would like to be at the equine hospital when my lad goes in on Monday, he is extremely knowledgeable and will be a big help in all ways.

    4. Coming home yesterday cold and hungry to find big pan of Cauliflower and Blue Cheese soup on hob top, Captain Scarlet to the rescue.

    5. Long, long phone call with friend who haven't seen for a year or so, fantastic to catch up on all her news, promises made to catch up in new year.
  • 1) Cookie and I just made it back to the village as the rain started this lunchtime, we'd been out for an hour and a half and timed it just right!

    2) Got some nice things for the girls stockings this morning, I'd been despairing at both price and lack of quality up to now.

    3) Lovely Skype with Zebra and mum yesterday, he'd been skating with her in the morning and eaten all his lunch and most of hers too so he was in excellent form!

    4) Fed the Christmas cake that DD1 has made, boy does it smell good!

    5) Going out for supper this evening, looking forward to that lots.
  • Sits down. Seems the Tum is rather full this week!

5 Mariners won again! That'll do. Now the Tin Pots to deal with!

4 Started well this day, with the snorkers fest, bacon, mushrooms and poached egg. Other breakfasts are available.

3 Had to sort our sink as small leak. Raffles was unmoved by the commotion going on! He has not been on the top of bookcase since the hawk has been placed there!

2 Night is inside film night, and home made sticky chicken. Other takeaways are available, but they are not as good as BoP foods.

    1 Quite about previous!
  • VJsmum: Congratulations on giving notice, and exciting new adventures ahead, what are you planning? A plant in the office sounds like a very good idea.
    1. We re-planned the weekend to suit us, as we can go out during the week.:o
    2. I emptied a drawer in the freezer by cooking up all of the foraged bits, 2 massive pans simmering away of apples, blackberry’s and rosehips, 4kg, I am going to leave it all to strain through muslin tonight before stage 2 tomorrow. Hoping it cooks through now as I want to get some rice cooking for dinner.:T
    3. Popped to lidl to pick up lemon for the mixture above, while there I picked up Christmas chocs for dh and he for me lol,:rotfl: and fresh bread for bacon, brie and cranberry in the morning. :) ok I' hungry now:rotfl:

    4. Received a big big box of thorntons chocolates as a thank you, it feels like we have a lot of good/bad food here now.:p
    5. Animals being daft and just enjoying their company.:)

Busy day today. Here are my pleasures:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Off to the optician this morning. I have had a very sore left eye for a few weeks and was wondering if I had inherited my mother's eye problem (50% chance of doing so). Turns out I have blepharitis. :-/ In better news, bigger son could read the whole chart and smaller son's and my prescriptions have improved so much we no longer need reading glasses!!!

    3) Had our lunch and got shopping from Sainsburys.

    4) At 2.30 we went to the local kennels to meet a dog... We are having our house check next week! He was daft as a brush and kept leaning on me and lying down to have his tummy scratched. Smaller son is talking about him all the time. :-)

    5) Bigger son did lots of work on his sinter klaas present.

    6) Had chips from the van.

    7) Watched lots of television.

    8) Booked tickets for Spectre that has will be coming to our nearest little cinema in a few weeks.

    9) In bed now with 1 hwb.
  • 1. Herbal tea in bed
    2. A leisurely hour walk whilst my daughter is at dancing
    3. A scrumptious roast dinner made out of odds and ends
    4. Finishing my school reports
    5. A silent spring day in rural Tasmania.

Waves hello across the Bass Straight to Tasmanian Minimalist!

Just in from a twilight carol concert at DD2's school, think she's too cool for school so DD1 came with me....armed with our blankets as its rather chilly! It was just lovely, music was fantastic , we had candles ( blowing a bit in the cool breeze)

Work was a long day...seemed to go on forever. Just one more shift to go and then done for 3 days.

OH and I went out for late lunch/ early tea.

Then supermarket, we didn't do a shop last week and I had $15 voucher off and my spend today earned me a $35 voucher for Christmas and got more dog food as it was half price! So quite a good haul.

School is over for 8 weeks....so no more uniforms to iron at 5.30am on a Monday morning!

Have a lovely day ... Off to bed :)
  • 1) Early morning run in central London with hardly anyone about.

    2) The wonderfulness of Sunday morning breakfast (poached egg on toast with coffee) while reading The Observer.

    That's it!

    Another dig!

5 Just maid a mega spotted !!!!. well, problem was the chrimbo puds have taken up all the basins, so only left with a two egg version. Well why not, so that is now steaming, and guess what. The fresh home made lumpy custard will be made with fresh milk later. Rubs Tum in readiness. And if you are pregnant, don't read on. The bowl was licked clean!

4 And BoPsie, has a new horse. A clothes horse in the utility room. And there is no room for Raffles to leap on the boiler. As it is near the boiler, it means the clothes dry without the useless, and some are flammable due to the fact of fluff. As for Raffles

3 Raffles. champion cat, is inn dog house. He leapt from BoP's table, containing fresh ales and cheese, to the chair arm. Unfortunately, he missed, knocked BoP's wobbleade over. And having only just refilled the glass, there was pan de moan eon! Hence the new airer above! Poor Raffles. His week not too good, as the Hawk has prevented assault on the high shelf! He is currant lee licking paws!

2 Night for tea will be home maid Cod Pie, with fresh made parsley sauciness, topped with real tatties and cheese. Door step carrots, last of batch, and broccoli will be served. And then, see above! Lumpy Custard and Spotted !!!!!

They found another mass grave. How much longer do you wait?

I appear to have hit the rusty iron town profanity filter head on! SPOTTED DICK
