    Evening all :hello:

ACEY - Glad to hear the visit to the contact centre was an improvement on the last one
Jexy - I'm so sorry to hear you're having personal problems. You know where we are if you need someone to chat to
sparrer - I might have a go using vinegar too if it makes the towels fluffier :D
Kitchenbunny - Sorry to hear Manuel isn't looking well. Where have you got him? Maybe he's not enjoying where he is.
savingforoz - Eye candy? I don't know what you mean! Lets just say we have good taste ;)
CCP - Such a shame about the bun loaf. I love hot cross buns. I'm on a diet though so I've been avoiding them :(. Sorry to hear about your stomach ache......I do pig out on my mums strawberry pavlova and then end up with a bad belly but I least I know it's coming
Tealady - That sounds like a horrific journey but I'm glad to hear your brother made sure there was food and a fortifying drink ready for you.
Laurel7172 - Hi there :hello: Sounds like a very OS day. Well done you!
GirlySquare - I'm expecting my fan club T-shirt in the post any day now
Nuttybabe - Sounds like you're enjoying yourself. I take it that it's not as bad as you were fearing :)

    My latest:

    1) Watching my neighbours chickens scratching around in my back garden. They were so funny as they were trying to pretend they weren't there :rotfl:
    2) Another lay in - I'm catching up on some serious sleep this weekend
    3) Lovely roast beef dinner at my mums
    4) Seeing a muntjac deer on my way home
    5) Lovely relaxing day
    6) More wine :D

Hope you all had a great day. Take care

    C x

Being slightly distracted by younger son getting up dozens of times. 3 times since I started reading today's posts on this thread!

    Anyway, 5 for today...

    1) Easter bunny didn't expect the smaller people in this house to get up at the crack of dawn... so had to run round hiding mini eggs while they were getting dressed!

    2) This is the amount of exercise we have done today (so you can see why I am getting touchy about certain people not going to sleep!) A scooter ride this morning round the village. A big tidy up of our garden. THREE long walks behind mum and dad's house into the woods with me then various relations. A HUGE scooter ride from mum and dad's into the next village. Another small boy only walk while me and others watched in a frazzled state through the window. AND over an hour of swimming!

    3) Had lunch and tea at mum and dad's. Lamb casserole for lunch and erm... ravioli on toast for tea. Mountains of chocolate. :-)

    4) Looked after next door's pets, always pleased when they are still fit and well when I check on them and feed them.

    5) Going to have a bath in a minute (got a bit of a chocolate induced grumpy headache) and listen to the Archers on iplayer. Smaller son has just come in here again....

Hi all, I hope you had a good Easter and are preparing for a lovely Bank Holiday Monday - in Italian it is called "Litte Easter" (Pasquetta).

Thank you all for good wishes for DH's application form (it is still going, it is one of these interminable ones where you have to list all your jobs since when you were 13 and doing your paper rounds and your education since pre-school!). Thank you also for your good wishes about out weekend, which was great.

Reverbe, I hope you get many many pleasures soon, to make up for the lack of pleasures in the last few days!

Anyway, here are mine for the weekend:

1 - Being in the good company of my OS friend and her DH

2 - Her DH and my DH getting along very well and having manly things to talk about!

3 - Lovely lovely hotel (and such a bargain!).

4 - Doing two "Reverbes" and finding 5p coins on the pavement twice during the weekend.

5 - Watching Ashes to Ashes from my hotel bed while sipping a nice cup of tea (rare treat as we do not have a TV in the bedroom at home).

6 - The weather treated us well and we managed to avoid the worst of the rain, in fact for some of the time it was positively lovely.

7 - Back home safely (it is good to go away but it is always lovely to come back home).

8 - Sunny evening, went for a walk while DH kept slaving on his interminable application form.

9 - Went to see a very old (both in acquaintance time and in age) friend and finding her quite well and in good spirits (even if, unfortunately, quite confused).

10 - Cooking a homemade Indian meal of dal and veg curry with brown rice (healthy and free, using up lots of old veg I had in the fridge).

Good night everybody, it is good to be back (home, and in the forum too!) xxx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    4) Found some bulbs lurking in the shed that had clearly been left behind by the previous tenant - despite being loose in a pot, with no soil, they had started to grow. I have no idea what they are or if they will grow properly when planted this late, but I figure there's nothing to lose and have stuck them in a spare pot. Fingers crossed they grow into... something. smiley-confused004.gif

Thanks for this, CCP,you have inspired me! A friend of mine gave me some tulip bulbs a few weeks ago but I never managed to plant them, now they have started to sprout and I was freaking out a bit, thinking they are going to waste. Instead reading your post I have decided that I am going to stick them in a pot of compost and cross my fingers - will report on progress!

Nuttybabe - I'm glad to hear you're being so positive about it. I think it makes for a better time for everyone that you're being relaxed. Enjoy the rest of your holiday and make sure the OH and the kids pull their weight. It's your holiday too :D
Hey maybe you're more relaxed because you've got mobile MSE and can keep up with everything
