Quick pop in to catch up! Bodie looks so cute!
Hugs to all that need them :)
1)Druuuummmm rolllllll plleeeeeeeeeeeeeease! 10 EGG DAY!!!!

    2) Fully booked tonight first time this year! - good in some ways - tho means I will be rushed off me little tootsies!

    3) My yorkshire puddings all rose beautifully - have a never fail recipe been using it for over 2 years, that never failed until about a month ago, and have been tearing hair out wondering why they werent as good! And to answer your question, no I have no idea why they havent worked so well for a month and yet today are back on form!

    4) There was a beautiful mist over the loch this morning when i went to let the girls out, and it was really chilly - it looked lovely, however does mean that my seeds are probably dead as we thought we had seen the last of the frost! Apparently not!

    5) Delicious magazine came yesterday, and its Italian themed... not sure if I mentioned i won a hamper recently full of italian pastas and goodies...

Afternoon all - hope you're all having a nice start to your Easter weekend.

niksyg - your poor OH! I'm sending him 'get well soon' vibes and sympathy vibes to you - I hope you both, plus pup, get a good night's sleep tonight - it sounds like you need it after last night!

Kitchenbunny - get well soon and sleep well vibes going out to you, too.

nuttybabe - if you do manage to read this from your caravan I hope you're having a nice time.

ACEY - no-one on this thread's having a lot of luck with their cars at the moment, are they? The only good thing, I suppose, is that the pheasant could have done more damage or caused you to crash. Not that that's much comfort, I suspect. :(

Caterina - hope you have / had a nice weekend away (delete as appropriate according to when when you read this :))

sparrer - I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling a bit down - I can sympathise as I've been feeling much the same way this week. I hope you're feeling cheerfuller today.

Megs mum - 3 1/2 mile runs?! I think the only way I could do that is if someone literally did push me round. :o

Reverbe - I'm sending get well soon vibes to your computer. smiley-computer003.gif I hope you have some real pleasures over this weekend, even if you can't post them.

jex - I got the delicious magazine this month, too - I rarely buy food magazines (I usually just scrounge recipes off the internet :o) but the picture of the pizza on the front was just too tempting. I had a quick flick through last night and found at least half a dozen recipes I fancied trying. :D

wssla00 - I hope your copy turns up soon.

I've had one of those days today where I just feel I haven't quite managed to wake up. smiley-sleep017.gif My pleasures are therefore a little on the lazy (but mostly nicely OS) side:

    1) Bacon sarnie for breakfast, using up the bacon left over from the BBQ chicken lasagne I made earlier in the week.

    2) Gave the bathroom a good spring clean. I though it was already pretty clean so I was shocked by the amount of dirt that came off the door in particular.

    3) Made a hot cross bun loaf. (Well, made it in the sense of 'sticking the ingredients in the breadmaker and pressing the on button'.) It's just finished cooking and looks very promising, although all the fruit seems to have sunk to the bottom for some reason.

    4) Since the snowy/sleety stuff stopped around lunchtime it hasn't been a bad day, if rather windy - I put a load of washing out and it's nearly all dry.

    5) Had a mooch along the seafront - the same wind that made short work of my washing meant that there's some lovely white-crested waves coming off the Solent.

    6) A nice, easy dinner tonight - pork and mushrooms in creamy mustard sauce with buttery leek mash. (Nice and easy, just not very healthy! :o)

    Have a lovely evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

Well, after all of the recent drama, I have still found 5 pleasures in my day!

    1) Knowing that OH is ok (ish) at least he is feeling better than silly o clock this morning :)

    2) Bodie had his first visitors today (people not dogs) and he is now exhausted from the excitement

    3) Noticed that my Hosta Nicola (bought for me by a close family friend, because it's my name) is peeping through the soil!

    4) Made a big chocolatey Easter Cake to take up to mum's for the weekend

    5) Looking forward to OH and Bodie cuddles this evening.

Off to Shropshire for the weekend, hope you all have a lovely Easter.

Get well soon niksyg's OH, hope tonight goes without incident.

Reverbe - sending wishes that lots of pleasures come your way soon x

Yay to mobile MSE at the caravan, nuttybabe, wish I could get online on my mobile, actually no, that probably wouldn't be a good idea, I'd NEVER get anything done, lol....

    Today's joys :)

    1. DD and I drew Easter pictures to hang on our mobile, her rabbits truly are a thing of beauty ;)

    2. I blew 4 eggs in anticipation of decorating them, and we made chocolate fairy cakes with the innards, yum yum!

    3. We took a yummy picnic lunch when we went out....

    4. ...to be rained on during our Easter bunny hunt at the garden I had free tickets for :( It was such a shame, as by the time we'd been rained on and had had our picnic in the car and got home, the sun had come out! Grrrrr.

    5. We bought a swingball set at Mr S with 25% off and had so much fun in the garden that it made us happy again :)

Niksyg - have a lovely weekend and give us a wave! Shropshire is half a mile down the road from here.

5 for today. (The weather won't be one of them).

    1) Woken up by bigger son bringing me a bowl of porridge. :-)

    2) Did LOADS of sorting and tidying. Put various bits on Freegle including the playhouse - the boys are too tall for it now. Also cleaned out under the stairs, changed bunk beds, hoovered, did 3 loads of washing...

    3) My brother came round. He found the mirror off my car in the hedge and it is back on the car (albeit with some sticky tape holding the glass in).

    4) Brother also stayed to play on the Wii with the boys which was fun for them and gave me some time to get on with the jobs I wanted.

    5) Made some rice crispy cakes (with Malties).

That's about it! Feel that I've been on the go all day but haven't really got much to write about. Must boil some eggs to decorate for paced eggs tomorrow.
