That made me smile!
My 5 for yesterday, and they're not very moneysaving!!
1. A fab spa day at Centre Parcs, Longleat. A whole day of saunas, steam baths, chilling out, etc, with three friends. We all really enjoyed it.
2. We rounded off the day with a curry - again, not very MSE! But delicious.
3. New season NCIS on TV.
4. Some fab comments about my writing skills after I posted the next chapter of my story online.
5. Chance meeting with a friend in the supermarket.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Well the puppy is here!! So, that's a big pleasure, however, my sleepless night was not so good....think we may have a few issues, but he is only a baby and came from a big family to just us so I am sure it may take him a while to settle in. We still don't have a name yet - I have decided we must choose one today, this is getting silly!
Other big pleasure is that OH is feeling much better after his op - it was a week ago today and he the infection from op has cleared up too...just a shame that the NHS let themselves down by changing his follow up appointment from Friday 9th to Tuesday 13th April - aaarggghhh! That means a whole other weekend catherterised and 2 more sick days from work. Anyway, enough of my moaning, so the 5 are-
1 - puppy day!
2 - OH feeling much better
3 - all meals for April planned (forward planning!!)
4 - Finding that pups 2 favourite toys are the inner from a loo roll and his reduced rope toy found in Pets at Home bargain bin
5 - looking forward to Easter weekend with mum.

Hi all
I am feeling very light, first day of the rest of my life and no more worrying about my job, stressing about care of mothers etc...I now recognise that I had burnt out after being for so long in the business of "caring" one way or the other.
One other thing, I might not be as regular here as I have been after all, as I am trying to wean myself off the daily computer fix, by having NCD (No Computer Days) so please do not worry if you don't see me for a few days.
Here are my pleasures for the last couple of days:
1 - Realising that I do not have to depend on technology to be happy (and leaving the mobile home, now that I no longer need to be reached 100% of the time!).
2 - Getting to a keep fit class after a few weeks of inactivity and managing almost all the class (left 15 minutes before the end).
3 - The weather, today it looks like spring again!
4 - Sleeping on new sheets, having decided that my old ones were too torn and tattered even for side-to-middling, so I bought some new ones at a sale.
5 - Seeing my herbs growing well and the front garden already half planted with seeds. More to come in the next few days hopefully, weather permitting.
6 - Going online and not having to do any work!
Have a great day everybody. I am going to be away until Monday so have a happy Easter, too! xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hi Caterina, I'm with you on the NCD front, I have tried (and often failed) to have one night a week without TV, another without the internet. It's amazing how addicted one can become.
Enjoy your new life and Happy Easter to allI'll be back later with my lovely pleasures, am gathering them up thick and fast today!

Niksyg- Puppies!!!!! I love little puppies! What type is it?
Caterina- I know how you mean about caring jobs- you never really switch off do you? Hope you enjoy the SAH time now
OK here are mine for today:
1. Looking forward to a lovely hot bath with bubbles and body shop wash
2. Cooking a load of batch cooking and getting them in the freezer for bad days
3. Enjoying all my new spices- even if I'm not sure what to do with most of them!
4. Ordering my freezer from a local shop and getting it delivered within an hour and a half- now that's really good service!
5. Having beans on toast this morning with morissons beans... not the ones they use in their cafe but i'm on a hunt to find them as they are delcious! Mum seems to think they are the value ones they have there....so will try again!

*Pokes her head around the door sheepishly* Please can I join back in again?
In the style of AA: My name is mollythewestie and I have fallen of the OS wagon big style. My grocery budget is back to sky high, I am relying more and more on conveniance foods, my weight is slowly going in the wrong direction and I feel a sort of darkness descending on me again. Not depression as such, just anxiety about stupid things and a feeling that everyone/thing is against me. Anyway, I have found that writing down my OS pleasures makes me realise all the little and simple things I have to be grateful for, so here goes...
- Getting the Easter cakes made for my family - Its a family tradition to bake a special cake, to my aunts recipe, on the thursday before easter weekend. Just need to get them iced and decorated now.
- Getting a holiday booked for June in France . It will be our first proper holiday for about 4 years and our first ever family holiday with DD. We decided to stay self catering in a chalet in the countryside, rather than the expensive hotel in the city that we had considered. And inlaws are paying for the ferry crossing for us, so it's very MSE.
- Reading a library book with DD.
- Starting the mammoth task of decluttering the house/garden. A broken parasol and pedal bin that have been in my garden since last summer are now at the tip.
- I have finally converted my DH into my MSE ways, as he suggested some things he has in the shed (old lawnmower, plant pots, dog bed etc) for freecycle.:D
Hope everyone has a great easter :easter_osValue of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set
