wssla00 - I forgot to ask yesterday - did you complain to Asda about that ridiculous change in price? I can understand prices changing slightly between order and delivery, but trying to charge you nearly three times as much is just... ridiculous! (Sorry, I'm spluttering with indignation on your behalf here!) I would definitely go back and let them know you're not happy - if nothing else, it might stop the same thing happening to someone else.
I know! I called the customer service team (loose term I think) and they said oh it's happened a lot today with other customers so oh well! I had used a voucher for free delivery and said well... IF i decide to order from you again I will have used my free delivery for nothing, so they have refunded the voucher back onto my account- however I think they are still holding onto my money so I'm hoping they will refund it soon.... if it's like Tesco it will take about three weeks  wasn't happy but it's my own fault for shopping in Asda when I hate it.Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -
Ollie- are they high street vouchers or bonus bonds? You can see where they are accepted online both the love to shop high street ones and the bonus bonds are accepted in ArgosFeb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

1. A brilliant consultant appointment at the hospital yesterday which lasted 3 hours!!!! I now have a team of a consultant a physio and a nurse- finally things seem as they are on the up, still not got the allergy results through yet but I'm seeing them soon so hopefully they will have them then.
3. Getting my HUGE spice rack in the post this morning- I can't wait to use some of the stuff in it
4. Ordering my lock and locks for my HM ready meals! It will be nice not to have to struggle about for a dinner and just get one ready prepared
5. Seeing the snow outside but me inside. When I go out today I will have to wrap up warm!
Enjoy the day all!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -

Tesco are slow at refunds, aren't they? I've used them once and they took two weeks, three emails and two phone calls to refund the money they owed me (it was only about £1.50 so I probably spent more chasing them than I saved, but it became a matter of principle after a while!).
I've never used Asda home delivery but I've shopped in one of their stores and found their customer service decidedly lacking - as their online shop is obviously much the same I'll steer clear.
Your spice rack sounds great, BTW - I've got an entire kitchen cupboard full of spices, balanced precariously on top of each other - a rack sounds far more organised.(Rather off-topic, my sister came to stay with me some years ago and I found her one morning with her head in the spice cupboard - she was just standing there sniffing and explained "it smells so good in here..." :rotfl:)

Boo!!!!!
Made ya all jump didnt I!
I have been reading, but have had alot going on yet again so not had time to post :S Glad to see so many new faces, and lovely to read how everyone is doing.
5 from moi...
1) The snow that was predicted hasnt hit us - we really need a good easter to help us get through the next few months, and so need the weather to clear soon for everyone else!
2) The girls loved their adventure up the hill! It was so funny watching them!
3) The boiler is fixed - dreading the bill, but at least we have hot water and heating and can open!
4) Went to eat at the nearest "competition" the other day, and it simply re enforced we dont have any competition - put those claws away jex!
5) The lad we interviewed last week started today, and he is doing really great, which is a good job, as the one that started last week, apparently got arrested last night - which would account for him not turning up today... back to square one!
Not sure I mentioned it, but I won a hamper last week:D:D
Now someone posted what sounded like a yummy mixed bean casserole stew thingy recipe, can anyone remember who it was that mentioned it or where it is as I cant find the thing and I got 5 lots of beans in this hamper that I might have mentioned that I won:D:D
Off to nap!
Hugs and air kisses !

Firstly, I have to say I started posting here before Christmas and then life went a bit crazy; going back to hometown for Christmas/New Year, OH's 25th birthday, relatives dying, OH and I buying and moving into our first house together and starting house rennovations to name a few happenings! So I've been rather poor and barely had time to read people's posts since, let alone write my own. However, I have made a quarter-year resolution to be better and make time to write down 5 OS Pleasures in my day.
1. Waking up to find it was snowing today! An unexpected surprise considering it turns April tomorrow. Thanks to now being so close to the sea, it didn't settle and cause havoc on the roads too much.
2. Keeping my spirits up after a horrendous weekend house renovating, including having a leak and being without water for 24 hours. Focusing on the good things, including the fact OH and I have each other and we can get through it, despite this house being determined to throw every obstacle it possibly can in our path.
3. Having a HM butternut squash curry for tea from the freezer, which means I can experiment making HM bombay potatoes - am always a tad wary when it comes to making 'new' things HM.
4. Keeping up consistent meal planning since the start of February and going to go and sort out April's meal plan to find it was already sorted *and* I've got most of the things in for it!
5. Finding the MSE e-mail in my inbox today with details for 25% off any Dorothy Perkins order - just in time, as I needed to buy some new pairs of jeans (all other pairs have worn through and have been stitched up within an inch of their lives). Upon going on DP website, their jeans were 2 for £25 as well as having 25% off! Feeling very pleased with myself.
I hope everyone is having a good OS day and that life is treating you all well.
Miss_I
P.S. CCP, your sister sniffing the spice cupboard sounds very much like my OH everytime he goes into our spice drawer! :rotfl: I keep trying to convince him to make me a spice rack, but I think he'll miss the smell of opening the drawer too much.0 -
Hello all, sorry to have been late to update....
The interview.... well they seemed more interested in whether I could spell correctly than what skills I haveThink it's more of a call center thing - have to answer phone within ten seconds and type up call while talking, can't put anyone on hold, have to take 30+ calls per day etc. So the recruitment guy was fibbing a bit when he said it's not a call center
So really not sure as it's not the sort of job I was looking forAlthough it has to be the cleanest tidiest office building I've ever seen in my life!!
They will let me know if I get through to second interviews - but I'm not convinced I want itThat feels bad since I've got no job at all just now. Applied for a job that will suit me much better but closing date is not till next week so hoping I hear from that one first
Anyway:
1. Getting the first interview over with - and it wasn't so bad.
2. Walking home in the rain getting drenched - I enjoy it when I can get changed into dry clothes.
3. The puncture in my tyre could be repaired so only cost £15
4. I only had to wait 15 mins while they repaired it and put it back on the car for me.
5. I've got OH searching charity shops again today - no buys but it's an achievement that he agrees to look
6. Using less on the gas prepay - whether that's new supplier or warmer weather, I'm not sure!
Must go cook a batch of chilli, just in case I get work soonworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi All - Bit of a funny day here - cold wind with frequent showers (but not nearly as bad as they have had it N and W of here - hope Jexy is OK). I have been mooching about indoors: made a few cards, did a few loads of washing, decluttered a bit. But here are my 5 for the last 24 hrs
1. Resisted glass(es) of wine last night - opted for a nice cup of tea instead. How strong-willed is that!
2. Resisted temptation to call of our run this afternoon (just off to do 3.5 miles before our Saint Rosemary class). How brave is that!
3. Made 5 nice cards to pop into the stash. How arty is that!
4. Made rhubarb crumble for my husbands dinner (he loves rhubarb crumble!) How loving is that!
5. We have HM lentil croquettes, salad and baked potatoes (with rhubarb crumble for OH) all ready for dinner - when I get back from my run and class. How organised is that!
Oh - and I saw the first celendine of spring on my pm dogwalk just now - how springy is that!
Sorry ......
MM XXStay clutter-free
No new stuff unless to replace broken items that are essential.
£2 savings pot (started Oct 09) £182 so far (£100 of which is banked)
Roadkill jar (found money) 87p and 20 eurocents0 -
Today's pleasures:-
1. DD reported that at parents evening last night both DGD and DGS were acclaimed as very well behaved.
2. DH took me to a craft shop. Didn't get what I wanted but it was a nice country run.
3. Baked bread.
4. Made jam.
5. Homegrown salad leaves on lunch and an evening meal involving just 4oz of beef between the two of us - very frugal.
Nothing spectacular but I'm pleased enough, so I guess that's me pleasures.
