  • I’m in a “happy mood” swing lol, I just need to keep going until after tea to get a clean bedding set on.:)
1.I left a little early as I’ve only got 2 days left and pfft really, they won’t let me do any work either so my days at the moment are just researching stuff and thinking of writing ideas I can’t complain but I am getting ridiculously excited about leaving there.:)
2.Got back picked up my prescription is was as easy as walking in looking at him got it and left in about 30 seconds flat.:)
3.Just picked up my new to me car,it's great:) it needs some little bits and pieces, I think DH enjoys fixing things really:o

4.DH has been doing proper tidying and restocked the bird feeders after they apparently spent the day shouting at him – I had it on my to do reminder list when I get in from work.:)
5.Daft conversations about what to make for dinner, I’ve run out of bits I forgot to get as we have a large sack of potatoes it always catches me out when I finish them so couldn’t do the casserole I was going to put in while we were out so late for us leftover pasta bake in a bowl it is then.:p
    6. Oh I had a call about the job interview saying they are interested but as the person who was doing what would be my job has left already they have been too busy to get sign offs and are off getting approval but that’s not a proper job offer so we will see there.

You're nearly done then, PK! Disturbing incident at work with bird feeders. They're ones held on the window with suckers and had lots of blue tits and other birds on there. Everyone watching them happily when a sparrowhawk swooped in and took a blue tit off for lunch!!

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) My asking for help at work might not always come to anything but seems a lot of others are complaining too and wheels are turning. Well, I've thought that before, so we'll see.

    3) Bigger son might starting the Duke of Edinburgh awards.

    4) After so much fuss and paperwork for Spanish sounding bank, and another massive phone call today, their monthly cost would be £80 above other building society and that's WITHOUT having a charge to swap!!!! What a palaver. Back to other one during half term.

    5) Quick tea of bolognaise sauce from freezer and pasta.

    6) Enjoyed the big DIY SOS.

  • 1) I counted 45 species of flower when I walked Mollie this morning, some garden and some wild, all still in bloom in the village, isn't nature amazing?

    2) Someone had a bonfire lit, it smelled wonderful I think it must have been fruit tree prunings as it was so fragrant.

    3) Mollie likes scrunching through piles of fallen leaves!!! She tows me to them and then looks up and shares a doggy smile before plunging in and making as much noise as she can walking through them!

    4) I've just pruned both my bay trees, hung some branches up to dry for the winter and chopped the rest into the garden waste bag for recycling, smells incredible.

    5) Met a new puppy on our walk, a little cockerpoo called 'Maple' just 7 months old, I've never seen anything quite so bedraggled in my life, apparently she's a soft cream colour but she'd just had a really good run with a few other dogs in the recreation ground and was a mud coloured bundle of scruffiness and dripping wet, but so sweet and so waggy, hope I meet them again when she's dry so I can see what she really looks like, poppet!!!
  • Today has been a cleaning day for me

    1. Changed all the beds. It's all washed and hanging from my indoor hanger in the landing.

    2. Made a chicken stew and dumplings using up all the bottom of the fridge veggies that needed using.

    3. Scrubbed the kitchen floor. It's actually quicker to get down and do it by hand (only a little kitchen)than it is to faff about getting the mop and bucket out, and probably more thorough.

    4. Sorted out some bills and money bits and pieces, which feels "lighter".

    5. Am having a cuppa, then I'll be hacking up some old T shirts into dishcloths.

In a pelting hurtle but have I understood it rightly mhagster that your citizenly loyalty is to be tested by Aus vs Scotland this weekend?
    As I think that's a but harsh.

Hugs to all as have need!
  • 1. I opened the leccy bill and it didn’t make me faint for once.:T
    2. It’s pie night maybe mix it up with veg and pots instead of pots and veg…:p
    3. DH has literally moved and cleaned all the furniture and floors downstairs, and spent the entire day sorting it all out, however he’s shattered now.
    4. Jumps up and down “It’s my last day tomorrow” I am glad to have made it.:j
    5. Clean bedding is on I did it when I got in from work otherwise I lose motivation, and I hoovered upstairs. It’s a bit of a wish and a prayer but hopefully the house is as clean as it gets.:)

    1. The roof was repaired today :T
Still waiting for an inspection of the loft insulation, it only took 3 1/2 weeks to do the roof on a 24 hour emergency so I won't hold my breath... It certainly won't be done before I retreat to the IoW on Monday
    2. Visiting my DB and DSis-i-L tomorrow for his birthday. He told me they're going to IoW on 19th, which is Monday! Looking forward to seeing them there as well
    3. A good day out with DD with very little spent, all we got were necessities and all at discounted prices.
    4. Thank God for Wonderweb! If you're 5 feet nothing you'll know what I mean.
    5. Catalogued the boxes of crockery ready to take to the auction house, a job I've been putting off for years but only took a day. So pleased that's over!

    Sweet dreams :)
