1 Now I has told you about emporiums. Well we are massively over budget this week on our shop at w8rz. If BoPsie had not bought the ice cream, two tubs of the Carte variety, we would had been on budget. Blazing £31.29! £1.29 over. Cat treats will not be purchased next week! Just ran shop through two other emporiums and as I have always said, they rip you off Both were 33% more expensive. T at £41.25 and M at £40.95! Boycott the greasy pocketing cats. As we are3 on curse for holiday pot, about £3 under budget overall this week winging its way to BoP's holiday pot, curtesy, of the society for building, is earning interest.
2 Day BoP is sorting out the bits for the holiday. Hotel paid for, holiday food and wobbleade fund sits at £143. Rubs tum. Plenty of chips in newspaper.
3 Fixed the bicycle of BoPsie. She had double puncture. Good old glue of rubber solution and patches were used. She now has wheels to feel.
4 Last night watched an & dilemma. I gather that it was all black! Oh dear, good job, zip it DD, we are out of it! Not long before the jocks join us. I see the Coventry City sacked manager has been given an extension! Oh dear!
Evil always comes of ignorance, and good intentions do as much harm as malevolence if they lack understanding.
Please continue to avoid evil goods in the emporium. Remove signs and take items from people baskets. Call them evil as well!0 -
well its been a while!!! catching up again - seems to be becoming a habit!!! Sorry! Feeling totally out of sorts at the moment - can't focus on anything and life seems to be so much hard work at the moment!!
So in order to kick my own back side - pleasures need to be focused on!
1. Coffee in bed with the bald chef and his mate - pure indulgence when so much else needs doing!
2. Nice day out with DD3 yesterday- don't often get time with just her - but DS at cadet camp - not very MSE (when did the cinema become so expensive??) but we had fun! - she seems to be struggling with friends in school - she is a little different I guess (well she is mine!!! ) so doesn't quite fit in with the 'popular group' so still trying to find her place!!! Growing up is so hard! and watching it is hard too!
3. Pictures from DD1 in Senegal yesterday - she looks so happy and natural and clearly loving it - made me feel so proud!
4. Hanging first load of washing out this morning - noticed white jasmine has gone mad over the pergola - smalls amazing!!! anyone know what I can do with the flowers (if anything?) to preserve the scent?
5. 2 friends who I introduced to each other at the singing event a few weeks ago are really getting on and meeting up regularly - its lovely to see as both have found their enforced retirement due to ill health very hard - glad they can support each other - selfishly it tales the pressure off me a bit to support both of them separately! and all of us are loving choir!!!0 -
1) We've just finished clearing and replanting the last flower bed in the back garden.
2) After an amazing crop the tomato plants are finally over and taken down in the greenhouse.
3) House clean and tidy from top to bottom, beds changed and bedding drying on the line.
4) Lovely walk with Cookie today, it's pleasantly warm and nice to be outside in.
5) Nice neighbour has offered us a darkwood table to go in the lounge, the one we have currently is much too big for just the two of us now and this new one is a drop leaf so we can run with it at half size most of the time and only put it to full size when the family comes visiting.0 -
1. Hmmm when life gives you lemons springs to mind, we headed off for a break this morning with the van on the back of the car, at some point near Heathrow the car decided it was bored of the radiator being in one piece rather spectacularly. At that point we were very happy to have full breakdown cover and the chap was so lovely and chatty. A few hours later we are back where we started. As DH decided my new to me car would become the donor as the radiator fits perfectly, with a promise that it will be fixed when we get back. The car is repaired, and yet again I am thankful for DH’s many talents. We will have to buy a radiator when we get back again, but for now we will try round two tomorrow.:j
2. Reductions packed had to be rescued and cooked up so it’s chicken with potato salad today, the rest of the chicken cooked into a madras for tomorrows dinner.:o
3. Took the car for a run around to check it over.
4. A memorial tree has started to flower it looks very unique and gorgeous.:)0 -
sadly Mhags - you will not be able to do the smug Scottish woman's look! But you can hold your head up high! Damn good game!!!So unlucky at the end!0

Quick collection:
1. Chats on phone to Oldest Best Friend and sister. OBF's Mum is far on her journey with cancer, but it has been so traumatic for OBF who has been the verbal punchbag along with one of her sisters.
2. Loads of visitors this week. Good friend came.. left with stuff, but less than expected as her DD & DSoniL plus baby DGD have just moved, so baby DGD's latest batch of toys from Honorary Great Aunt (me) stayed here until they are sorted and settled.
3. Visits canine and human. What a joy it was to see DD's dogs again, Walter and Beth after a long time. Walter's intelligent little face was now that of a grown up dog. Just the rest of him looking like a Springer puppy crossed with a whippet. DD tidied, and tidied as whilst they were here ...
4. DSoniL built me a new ramp for the trike! It replaced a ramp which my late friend made to access my house with her motorised wheelchair. She was rather good at woodwork.
That lasted c. 10 years or so, but the weather got it in the end.
5. Yummy OS recipes. Jocasta Innes' Bacon, Apple and Onion Fry Up today, but made with sausages on account of the bacon being used for bacon and cheese puff wraps. (As made by Gr&ggs, once, but no longer. They lost me as a customer and I make my own. Calorific. Taste wonderful.). Apples were gifted from friends' back garden.
She, like everyone else, had a bumper crop this year.
Total cost of 2 meals of fry up:
450g Cumberland sausages Heron Foods 79p
3 Onions from Aldi Super 6 15p
4 Apples Free
Splash of oil 1p
Total cost 95pErma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

Busy day today!
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Sons' 4th driving lesson at 9am.
3) Went to Snowshill Manor after that (NT). There was a woodturner working in the grounds today that sons liked watching. Also a robin sat on the arm of our bench in the garden. And someone had brought some owls in to look at!
4) Smaller son wanted me to drive up Fish Hill after that :-/ so we stopped at Broadway Tower at the top. The ROC bunker was open so had a look down there too. http://www.roc-heritage.co.uk/england.html
5) Roast dinner when we got home.
6) In bed with 1 hwb now.0
