Wow Mhags so glad you are inn happy mood! Here is a :heartpuls just for you
And easy with the egg!0 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Not such a bad day at work as recent ones.
3) Met my school friend after work for a cup of tea.
4) House reasonably tidy.
5) Sons happy tonight.
6) Smaller son's favourite TA (who had moved to the upper school site) was back today and had 3 lessons with son and played football on the Xbox with him at lunchtime. Son happier than he has been for weeks.
Bedtime now!0 -
1. Not missing the Parcel Guy this afternoon - still to open all of them, various little things to review.
2. Parcel Guy came in time for me to cycle downtown in autumn sunshine and cycle back in autumn twilight.
3. Watching the pennies until my latest pay materialises in my account, every low cost item I wanted was in store at A!di.
Sardines in oil so that I can have a go at Jack Monroe's Spaghetti alla puttanesca, the usual anchovies are far more delicious than sardines but also 26p more for only 2/5ths of the amount.
4. A wonderful evening at the live music club. Most of it caught on video.
5. Tidy house, thanks to wonderful DD's ministrations.
6. New front door trike ramp made by DSoniL is great. The lip is now raised going out of the door, rather than coming in, which makes hauling the trike in with heavy shopping much easier. Previously there was much careful positioning of self, sticks, trike and door to prevent a fall as I hauled him over the threshold.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Over the past couple of weeks both DS have moved out. DS1 moving in with his girlfriend and DS2 has moved back to uni.
DS1 has been given a flat full of furniture by my sister. She was getting rid of it and even paid for a man with a van to help move it. She had been storing it since they sold their flat but had decided they needed the space in the shed. Helping him move out was exhausting and looking in his room here it doesn't look as if he has taken anything with him.
DS2 has gone back to uni but came home for the weekend. He is in private halls and in the nicest room he has had and is also the cheapest. He likes the people he's sharing with.
On Monday DH I went to the Olympic velodrome with DH (he had been given tickets for it). It was a great evening and I would love to go back and see something else there.
Still picking veg from the garden and loving spending time out there and amazed how many flowers are still out as only three in a couple of packets of mixed annual seeds and some sunflowers.0 -
Morning to all, five pleasures for yesterday
1. Cheeky little canter on BE after vet gave the all clear, boy it felt good.
2. The lovely warm Autumn sunshine.
3. Trip into Uni City to have my hair cut, now light of head and of purse but worth it.
4. Tasty chicken and apple bake for tea, mmm
5. How warm and cosy the bed felt with winter quilt on, I like to layer my nest so usually have just sheets and blankies until winter comes, OH said he was too hot :rotfl:0 -
Ok been a miserable so and so recently so trying to start the day thinking about the pleasures:
1. Woken early by DD3 getting a very long shower very early - positives are that she set her own alarm. got up on her own and had a shower - taking pride in her appearance - normally its a challenge to get her up and washed and in clean clothes! she's growing up!!! (shame can't be said for DS son who needed dragging out of bed after lots of wake up calls!)
2. But DS did manage to get to bus this morning - first time this week! has needed lifts because he just couldn't/wouldn't get out on time!
3. DD2 dragged me out of bed 10 mins before alarm to move my car as she couldn't get her car out of the drive! Pleasure is that she started work at 7 and can now drive!!! this is great for her!!!
4. Thinking about DFV comment about first cup of tea - so true!!! these days - once DD3 and DS go to school I have time for that first cuppa in peace before work - today a have managed to sneak in a second and it was nearly as good!!!
5. A day of no meetings at work (well I think I have 1 short 1) - hopefully will have no dramas to deal with and can catch up after 2 full days of meetings and feel like I have some control again!0 -
Oh well, long post. Use back button. No your end MSE!
ENGAGE THE ENEMY MORE CLOSELY.
Well had bacon baggette last eve inn new found wobbleade emporium. Fresh and nice, not like the plastic encapsulated carp sitting on shelves for six days mulch at the overpriced duper market.
One more night without tickling BoPsie to go and back on the nest!
Keep pleasures rolling.
Enjoy Trafalgar Day.
Oh, have we been here before?0 -
1) Visit to the Doctor for blood pressure review went very well, have decided that I am basically healthy and not needed to visit again until next year, can only be good.
2) Visit to the city was productive of some very nice and reasonably priced things to go in Christmas stockings for the family.
3) The rain has stopped, it's still cold, but not currently wet!
4) YS goodies from M&S Goats cheese and onion marmalade tarts, and pulled brisket cakes came home in my bag.
5) Going to make a steamed sponge pud in the microwave for supper this evening, He Who Knows had one at the pub last time we went and I've been wanting one ever since, think it will be a jam pud with custard, Mmmmmmmmm!!!0 -
I am determined to find 5 pleasures today
1. it was warmer this morning on the way to work at 7am - even though it was raining
2. colleague brought cakes in for their birthday
3. leftover pork in gravy for tea from when DP's were here - nom nom
4. won an item on bay of E for DS's gf's 21st next month - was only person who bid and half the price of the last similar item sold
5. DS making me cups of tea tonight and emptying the dishwasher
Feel exhausted so I am off to bed, have been struggling to stay awake since 8pm but I know if I went to bed then I would be awake at 2am !! Nite all x0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
