Think we are about to take a downward swoop on the helter skelter that is cancer. Scans show something that probably shouldn't be there so if you can muster some positive vibes and send them to me and my fabulous OH I'd be most grateful. Full body scan tomorrow and multi disciplinary team meeting at 7.30am on Wednesday, this does not bode well.....however, until we know what's going on we always have hope. i cannot bear having to tell my children again so saying nothing until we know. I'm just posting here as this is my 'diary'
Prior to this....beautiful sunrise, odd train .....different seating '6's instead of '4's' ....oh how people reacted badly....we all sit in the same place every day!
Work, MC was being rather moany, I told her ( nicely) it might well be time for her to seriously consider moving on. Busy morning.
DD1 phoned, she'd been bitten on her foot.? Spider/? Insect, told her to go to pharmacy and ask our lovely pharmacist, who reckoned insect rather than spider. Anti histamines given.
School phoned , DD2's hip had popped out! Oh joy! Really nothing I could do at that point , couldn't leave work l would have to wait for train, get train, get home, get car etc so was never going to get there super quickly anyway. Managed to get one of DD1's friends who lives in next street to school to pick her up and drive her home. So she's on crutches ! Have reassured her that if it was something serious / accident/ very ill then of course I would come straight away, which she said she knew anyway.
OH phoned me and took my breath away, literally. Feeling numb, not surprised, can't do anything until we know more. All rather crappy.
Work went mad over lunch! Ran out of kitchen food ( we have a menu and then a display fridge full of sandwiches/ rolls etc) so boss can restock all that tomorrow .
Missed usual train as I had to stay and clean down kitchen after some late lunchers came in but just got the next one and managed to get a seat at the window and facing the right way!
Popped into salvos and bought a pair of denim shorts that I'd seen last week ( 27o today but very windy) and a nice top that was half price this week. Cool weather returns tomorrow.
So , working days done, I'm grateful that I'm on days off and can attend hospital with OH without having to worry about work etc.
Just going to make macaroni for tea....people still need feeding!
Have a good Monday please x0 -

Oh Mhags, not again
Sending you love and light and hope......
pleasures for yesterday
1. Woke at stoopid o'clock after only 4 hours sleep - I just couldn't get to sleep despite being dog tired. How does that work? the pleasure is that the kids were super nice to me all day as they knew I was feeling rough. Including doing the washing up without argument :T
2 More kondoing and an inspired idea re left over shelving which has transformed my utility room
3. DS won his footie match - always helps the journey home to be more pleasant. Especially as it was against his old team
4. Food fair in my town - i didn't go as didn't fancy trogging around on my own, but the town was really busy which is fantastic
5. lovely bath and an early night. Feeling much more human today.
Have a lovely day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

mhags your dear OH is in my prayers, as are you and all the family of course. God bless x
1. I've been experimenting with candle making in a pretty Chinese cup - have had to melt the wax twice but think I've got it now. I didn't realise how difficult it would be to get the wick central
2. Have made one needle case with the girl's name on so far, another three to go by the c-word. Definitely easier, and less messy, than candle making
3. The doglet is quite well atm, I'm making all his dinners and treats now so no chemicals or nasty numbers getting into his system. He's learned to live with his deafness so it doesn't cause him any problems now, even if it does make me hoarse from time to time! Fingers crossed we're over the bad patches for a while.
4. Had fun yesterday emptying boxes that have been in the glory hole since I moved here almost 12 years ago. All full of crockery of one pattern but various makes, was going to auction but not sure it's very sellable so might advertise it locally. I never liked the pattern anyway so it has to go! Hopefully will make me a few pennies which is better than just leaving it in the boxes.
5. The yellow thing has been here for four days, is it this year's record? The forecast has been rain for the last few days so it's a lovely surprise to open the curtains in the mornings and see it shining.
6. Frith I watch Gogglebox too, Steph and Dom have me laughing out loud. They're a perfect foil for each other and lovely to see they still haven't lost the spark.
Have a good rest of the day0 -
Hello mhags - just zooming in for a huge hugsie.
It's a one-size-fits-all job, so there's plenty for everyone - dd1's nasty bite, dd2's pop-out hip, ds's day with Dad and Haggis, Haggis's day of man-sized boy time, OH's having both of those, and you dear mhags, while all the other others happen.
Here we are, trying to match you for rock-solid.

5 Just south of Sparralands. Just ate. Lovely. Veggie chilli. Now slaughtering a hen! Wobbleade that is. Rubs Tum!
4 Not long to go this week as we have a BoP off week. Yeah. Cool. Look for the yellow thing from Friday.
3 Raffles has new playmate, they were on neighbours shed together at the weekend. Think it could be kitty love!
2 Gether with vibes we can send Mahgs some hope.
It is the time you have together that counts!
Oh, and I have defunctionalised the talking wall.0 -
McHags and DH we are here for you to vent, feeling for you.
For the weekend
1. We were off for the weekend at a local event that was interesting, and a bit challenging.
2. Animals very happy to see us, it was local enough to us that we came back and checked on them as we were only away one night.
3. We really shouldn’t order in but I think we will as I CBA, I will have to make a big soup when I get in from work tomorrow with various bits.
4. Found some more interesting books to read on amazon just marked on wish list as I have piles to read through here.
For Today.
1. Work is over and will be over soon, 4 weeks to be exact, yes I am counting each morning.:o:o
2. We popped into lidl on the way home for mop heads for DF, and discovered it’s their 30% evening I never know when it is, so we stocked up for food for the van at the weekend, chocy cake for now, and 3 lots of animal chicken:T
3. We have a fuzzie who’s goal in life is to make us laugh and smile each day and each day she does just that, she is just amazing, chasing the hose as I reeled it in, then dancing at me and dancing off expecting to be chased.:A
4. I admit it, dh and I are sitting here in fleece onsie things as we are to tight to put the heating on but a tad cold.:rotfl:TMI??
5. Going to have a bath, then a hot drink and tea, luxurious.:D0 -
Mhagster - sending positive vibes to you, your dh and family (((hugs))).0
