  • 1.I spent the morning washing, tidying and even mowing in my pj’s, the last days holiday for me before work tomorrow the positive only 1 month left of work at this place - thank goodness.
2.One of our fuzzies spent the day with me following me about playing before climbing onto me for a cuddle, very cute, she followed me upstairs watching me hang washing about and curled up on the bed and that’s the last I saw of her for hours.
3.I sat in the garden with a cuppa and watched the birds coming down.
4.DH spent the day replacing shocks and springs on his car, he wanted to do it while I was here just in case of accidents.
    5. You guessed it chicken and leek pie, mash, veg and gravy for dinner tonight, I hope the pies cook through ok watch this space.

    Today
    1.Work is over
    2. Started job searching and had a seat on the way home.
    3. We went over the bridge to get our new glasses, I’m getting used to varifocals but everything seems so much sharper.
    4. Costco pizza cheat for dinner.
  • Much much scraping of pleasures but ill try.

    1. Remembering I had brolly in the bottom of my handbag when it started raining.
    2. Restorative coffee before the commencement of work commenced.
    3. Quick easy tea of stuff out of tin, packet and covered in bread crumbs (bad lazy mummy :o)
    4. Another drive completed to work, lessened grip somewhat on steering wheel. I'll get there I'm sure.
    5. Bed after long faffy shift, cuppa and some onion ring crisps is how I'm rolling.

  • I think one HUGE pleasure covers all 5 today

    1) We went out for supper to the local pub last night as I've been a bit 'off colour' for a couple of days with a virus and was tired. The lovely landlady who is a friend jumped on us and said 'I've got a favour to ask you, don't go without coming to find me' so we found her and it turns out that the business is doing really well and she and hubby who also does all the cooking are run off their feet and getting busier with Christmas etc. in the not too distant future. Now they have a super little dog and are finding it hard to find time to give her enough walks and wondered if we'd like to take her, they were very fond of Docky and know how much we've been missing him SO we've now got a super little hound to walk with whenever we have the inclination.....HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!! Going to take her this afternoon WOOHOO!!!
  • Oh look. AKA no man Fridays. It is a BoP POETS Day!

    No where is my coat?

Mrs Lw that's lovely that you will have a dog to walk, one of the things I really missed when we moved out here was no dog to walk, we left our dog with my mum, as she couldn't have coped with the journey, the heat etc ( one of the hardest things I've ever done) and I longed for a dog again, but we had to wait till the time was right. Enjoy your afternoon walkies!

Almost teatime here, have very lazily ordered takeaway but it's a freebie.

Just off the phone to friend in Sydney for a marathon catch up with her which was nice!

Oh my! My legs! I did wii fit for the first time in around 4 years yesterday and again this morning but ouch ! However, it's for the greater good !

Went to the memorial service at school for the teacher who died last month. A lovely service. My first mass I've ever attended , slightly bamboozled at times ( thank goodness for projected instructions is all I can say!) he was a lovely man and it was a lovely tribute to him.

Walked to school and back, the gardens are full of spring: spring flowers, shrubs, trees , smells, just lovely!

    GBBO!

Much relaxed after 3 fairly lazy days , back to the grindstone tomorrow it needs must!

    Have a good Thursday :)

    2. A lovely day today; ok a couple of the class are chatty wee things, and one child in particular is academically bright but socially ANGRY and horrible a lot of the time, but on the whole I like this lot of cherubs :)

    3. Sunshine!

    4. A lovely colleague/friend gave me a bowl of scrummy salad yesterday, very much appreciated as I hadn't brought anything exciting in with me. Today I enjoyed a little bit of baileys cheesecake that one of the staff made to celebrate her birthday - oh my goodness it was delish!

    5. DD received a BPeter badge - the purple one, and is understandably very chuffed!

    6. NSD

    7. Received confirmation today of our holiday apartment booking in Florida next summer, it looks so nice and hopefully not near any alligators!

Pleasures for yesterday (Weds) so far as I can remember!

    1) Not a bad day at work. A difficult colleague (a bit rude once) was full of praise. I did wonder if she was taking the mickey!

    2) Had tea out.

    3) Bought brother a birthday cake as my mum is in the Balearics so it was just about possible that no one would have organised one for him. In the end, he had two!

    4) Watched Holby City on iplayer.

    5) Smaller son has been moved up 2 sets in science and maths!

    Pleasures for today (Thursday)

    1) Slightly better sleep than earlier ones this week (which have been 2-3 hours long...)

    2) Bigger son had double Resistant Materials (first yr 10 GCSE lesson in that subject) and loved it!

    3) Smaller son also happy at school.

    4) I've had an admin period put in my timetable! First ever so I did printing, signed on for an online training course (for work) etc this afternoon.

    5) Off to brother's with birthday presents and cake.

    6) HM lasagne for tea then blueberries and strawberries on meringue nests.

    7) Bigger son is up to date with his homework (!)
