Sending Mhags a hug and good thoughts for tomorrow.

    Pleasures for yesterday and today

    1. Worked from home, i have lost all heart with work. Truly "something has changed within me", but i ploughed on a a little and was reasonably assertive over something
    2. Also did some more Kondoing and have renovated a pine sideboard
    3. Drove to work - just couldn't face walking today - had a good singsong :D
    4. Pep talk with boss - he knows I'm fed up and is agreeing with me as to why
    5. Bought nice handles for refurbished sideboard and recoated the front and sides as pine "grinning through" a bit. i will hopefully finish it tomorrow.

OH came back from his hols, he's had a nice time (his annual lads holiday). Finland, Sweden Denmark this year - trains and boats holiday.

I have decided to apply to do a PhD, 3 years full time. I am going to spend the weekend writing the proposal - i will be lucky to even be considered but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

It's time to close my eyes and LEAP
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Sorry to hear your news, MHags and I will be thinking of you tomorrow (today for you now).

A day of ups and downs here.

    1) Waking from a horrible "dream within a dream". I can't be the only person who has a nightmare then dreams they have woken up, surely?! Once "awake" I walked downstairs only for the nasty lady from dream one to hurl herself at my living room window. Then I really woke up!!

    2) Things have been very tough at work. Only when I admitted I burst into tears when I got home on Friday did everyone else come forward and say they have had the same problem (can't say more). Cue lots of meetings, 2 more tomorrow and "things being done".

    3) Everyone being rather nice to me at work, even those who would have no clue about the tough bits!

    4) Paid for another driving lesson for sons this Sunday. :-)

    5) Went to Costa with my school friend.

    6) Bit of a palaver after that. Smaller son's teacher texted to say he has not been behaving well. Texted back saying he is upset that his TA has moved sites. Smaller son then came home and told me various woes including that he was "told I could be excluded for my behaviour", which has been too much talking (twice) and not joining in with PE properly. I have an inkling this was his teacher getting a bit peeved with him and making a bit of an over the top threat.

Anyway, I sent a text back about the various worries he has and added the "upsetting threat of exclusion" line and got an instant text back saying it is all fine, everything will be sorted out etc. This has been the first time that I've felt a bit jittery about the staff. Hopefully it was something and nothing.

    7) Bigger son has done all his homework and is still enjoying his GCSE courses (only 2nd week, though!)

    VJsmum - exciting!
  • Hugs and wishes to mhags and hubby xx

    Tuesdays lot.

    1. Homemade bread and jam for breakfast yum!
    2. Another day at the coal face, starting to feel demoralised and tired.
    3. Cuddles with littles, brightens anyday.
    4. Sausage spaghetti from os boards made. Looked awful but tasted ok and meant no pennies spent today!
    5. Bed, with a warm drink and the weight off my feet 😊

Just popping in briefly, to say hello and once again thanks for your very kind good wishes.

We've been and done hospital with me sobbing all the way in car . Felt calmer at hospital. Funnily enough the twice I was upset was when our speech pathologist and nutritionist popped in , we'd got to know them whilst in rehab programme.

Many doctors in to see us, it's quite full on but we were in a bigger room ( maybe the VIP suite) so didn't seem as crowded this time. Last time I counted 30 people in at one point which just totally overwhelmed me) ...you know that when you're on hello and nodding and smiling terms with doctors that you're there too often!

It's all very confronting and then we are left alone for about half an hour this time before a very well spoken English chap came round and was all very proper and it made me smile ( on the inside!) . So biopsies to be taken and back for results next week and plans.

Told OH some of my fears , told speech pathologist some more of them and blubbered quite a bit. So I'm back to being an emotional wrecK.but better out than in.

Boss just messaged me to see how we'd got on and said small catering event for tomorrow is not on so I shall just go in tomorrow afternoon and bake and bake and just enjoy the rest of OHs day off with him.

    Cancer is absolutely pants!

Oh lovely Mhags and OH, I'm so sorry things are getting scary again, and relieved that you appear to be being taken care of by a team of dedicated people. Wish I could wave a wand... But will keep you in my prayers x

Nothing working until 10 mins ago. Power on and off through night. If this works, from phone, it's a miracle and therefore TOTALLY yours, mhags.
