Building site tea party - empty wooden cable bobbins are in play as seats & a table for a brew & biccie break on the sunshine! Frankly comical to see high vis gilets & helmets sat near basking, brews in hand
    me too.

    1) 4:50 kettle on, 4:55 pot made, 5:00 pint mugs of tea in hand for me and dd2. oh boy 10 days without tea (or coffee etc etc). worse things happen at sea but not here.
    2) lovely day of sunshine. spent morning clearing more of room of requirements and room to be my office.
    3) then long walk with dogs and xoh. we stopped off at invergowrie for magnums (magna?). box of 4 was cheaper than 2 single so guess what we had two each
    4) then off to dump with car load of stuff. very liberating
    5) then down to phoenix to celebrate end of h2only. stopped off at chippie on the way and they made 2 cups of tea by accident. i said i'll drink both. which i did. and they only charged me for one.
sneaky 6) very good friend will move to cathedral, hopefully before christmas. am thrilled

    1. Finished accounts- all ready to deliver to accountant this morning. A glass of wine to celebrate.

    2. Managed more weeding in the garden and pleased with how things are growing. Rain wasn't torrential and the garden needed it.

    3. DS1 has interview on Monday and pleased with how he is preparing for it.

    4. He also helped with decluttering by taking towels to the RSPCA shelter on his way to buy a shirt for the interview.

    5. Tea from freezer and had a pudding.
  • Ok, horse whipped and relax. Mountains, though BoP could not repeat here about ... That stays on Buck of Face!

DD Humanities tour and Zombies. Watch out lass, I fear they are coming down the silvery Tay! BoP thinks, Humaine Remains, and Zombies in same cart!

:heartpuls to all weeklies! And the beat goes on!

5 Back on the nest of BoP. And wents out last night because it was Steak and a Half night, with BoPsie. And because the BoPsie licks her food, we also got more than out just desserts off as well!

4 Now, how the BoP managed to cook up mountains of delicious foods with my burnt out pans I will never know. This morning, as it always on day of Saturn, have a Snorkers Fest. With mushrooms, poached eggs, saut!ed tatties, and bacon. Washed down with tea.

3 And then wents of to barbers of BoP to be groomed, man groomed and hairs dematted. As I have used shampoo of BoPsie, the one that puts highlights into your hairs, BoP looks fantastic. Not only that, if I continue to use it, one shall be ...

2 Morrow maybe offs to South Devon! Could be the Yellow Banana or other feature!

Nobody is bored when they are surrounded by such love!
  • 1) Beautiful soft rain for a few hours last evening, not the predicted storms so the garden is looking much happier, particularly the lawns.

    2) Village fete this afternoon, perfect for sunny summer days on the village green with a dog show, vintage cars, lots of stalls, dance troupe giving thier best to Starlight Express and free strawberries and cream from the church, lovely!

    3) A whippy ice cream from the ice cream van, my favourite and just as good as I remembered it, haven't had one for years.

    4) Surprise encounter with small cherub and his puppy when walking back through the country park. We stopped to say hello to the puppy and a small insistent voice was saying Hello, Hello and I looked down into limpid blue eyes and a smile made of pure sunshine who proceeded to hug my knees in a gorilla hug. Mum was coming along the path killing herself laughing and I hugged his little shoulders with my hands and he let go my knees and put his little face up with his lips wanting a kiss, oh my heart just melted, I bent down and got a smacker on the cheek, I'll never wash again. As I said to Mum, forget about making my day...That's made my year!

    5) the loveliest walk back home along the river path in a warm breeze and sunshine then tea, second cup of which I'm drinking now. Doesn't get any better than today!!!

zombie walk is september in dundee bop unless there are zombies i don't know about (quite possible)
    1) cloudy / drizzly / cold day couldn't dampen our spirits. dd2 and i went to The Grouse Experience at Crieff
    2) got there just in time for a tour (they happen every hour). very good, and ended with a shot of grouse and a shot of Glen Turret. Preferred the Turret. DD2 doesn't drink whisky so had hers too :P
    3) then lentil soup in the restaurant. and of course a pot of tea :D
    4) then we got a personalised bottle of Turret for her bf who graduates 30th June. and i thought what a fab idea for gbf's 60th. so not the cheapest day in the world, but 2 lovely presents for 2 lovely people
    5) home via l!dl (£38) and she headed off to watch footie with her bf and friends and i had a lovely evening a) walking dogs b) cooking a shepherd's pie and a veggie version for friends coming round tomorrow c) doing a minimalistic house clean for tomorrow d) catching up on Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. very nice to have the house all to myself

Anyway, paperwork completed and trip down to post office so it could be sent off recorded delivery ... sigh of relief its done .... now wait for the sh** to hit the fan but at least its progress

    2. managed to juggle finances and steal from xmas/birthday & emergency funds to cover my car service - I had saved £250 but bill was £418. :(

    3. lovely sunny day - nice walk to the post office (and there was no queue ! ) and got 2 loads washing dry

    4. popped to a friends house for a cuppa and a chat

    5. home made curry for tea and managed to eat a fair bit

Skint its always a relief when you are in a position to sort out problems.

    1. Had coffee with a friend and then wandered round a garden which has free entry.

    2. DS1 taking DS2 to hospital. He had burnt his leg quite badly and the centre part was blistered and looked to be quite deep burn. The doctor took a photo of it and will let him know whether he needs to go to burns unit. I don't think it's that bad. He burnt it on a motorbike exhaust.

    3. Spent time in the garden and planted out some sunflowers. Also did more weeding. It's endless!

    4. DH asked DS1 and DS2 to buy a BBQ so had lovely time in the garden all together talking and laughing. DH ended up with his coat on as didn't come in till 11.30.

    5. Saw the red arrows fly past.

    6. Heard the deers in the neighbouring estate while having the BBQ also watched an owl in next door field.

Hello from Singapore. Won't be any "marking by the pool" posts to get you going - it's grey and rainy here. :(

    Enjoy your tea DD.
DforV good luck for last exam phews all round

1 afternoon trip to the seaside, place called Stanley (still in HK at that point). Could have been anywhere in th eWorld, but not what you imagine for HK. Bus ride across the mountains was fab?
2 have I told you about the jellyfish? I don't think so - went out with the school for dinner - ate jellyfish . It was ok, crunchy rather than rubbery, a bit like sauerkraut. Lovely crispy duck pancakes. I think I just about got away with it, MSG wise - partly because I swallowed s handful of particular vitamins when I got back
3 boss and I went in search of music and beer on Friday night. Went to a bar called Pawn and then dinner at the drunken duck. Korean la,b with kimchi was sublime, washed down with a pint of London Pride. Most bizarre, but the liveliest place
4 took the day off yesterday and went up Victoria peak on the tram. Was v clear views of HK
    5 lovely curry last night
6 just flown into Singapore today and watched Cinderella on th plane. It was lovely

I am having a face pack followed by a bath. Then out for dinner with Singapore colleagues in a couple of hours before we do it all again starting tomorrow.

Enjoy your Sunday - it's peeing it down here :D:rotfl:
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • I know, make do and mend. Fixed the leaking toilet. Now who is next!

5 Been steaming again! Got it, bingo. Well you know, you know!

4 And another thing, had flask of Tomato Soup. Real buttered ham sandwiches and orange juice as well. No, they were fresh made by BoP, and packed loose. You will note BoP is still kicking, so these freeze bags are a waste of time!

3 Sits on coast and rubs tum. No sandcastles as there is only stones around. And have you seen the mud!

2 Night BoP is off to feast on a roast, then home, then pack his bags back to SparraLands!

All night long. And it's another day!

    1. The sun coming out after a cold, grey morning
    2. Getting the sheets hung out to take advantage of the sunshine
    3. Having a good clearout in the livingroom and getting almost a full donation bag out
    4. Made from scratch dinner which even managed to be vaguely healthy!
    Looking ahead
