My pleasures for last couple days

    1. Went with school to inter school competition and our school behaved well but also came 1st.
    2. Managed to cut the grass - finished at 8pm
    3. Nice sunshine in between the clouds.
    4. Went shopping for a few bits for camping weekend.
    5. Last nights concoction for dinner with leftover chicken, bacon and tomato was yummy.
    6. Tested out the airbeds, only 1 appears to lose air.
    7. Washed doggie blankets before we go camping, need them to smell nice in tent.
    8. More crochet done on never ending blanket.
    9. Bought myself a Mars bar and didn't share any.
    10. Finding small pleasures - makes me smile more.

Will try to think of pleasures for today. Feel disgruntled by worky work again. :-(

Now being hassled by smaller son so I'll give today up as a bad job!

Lost post at #4!!! so abridge versions!

    1. DD3 having a great time at school residential have photographic proof!

2.DS hospital apt went well - finally met consultant and medication upped with a good explanation that ExOH couldn't argue with7

    3. Still no grocery shopping (nearly 2 weeks now) cupboards and fridge decidedly bare (no milk left now!!) but managed to save enough to pay for a cleaner to do a deep clean (not MSE but needed for my sanity and paid for from saving and living frugally) - need to find a cleaner now!

    4. More data collected for dissertation - data collection now complete - analysis starts tomorrow - only 3 weeks to go and I'm done!!!

    5. DS been snuggly today (sneaked into starbucks after hospital in school and work time - was lovely!) makes up for the tantrums a little!

Been slightly disoriented this week in June I have swapped the places I work each day and I was convicted it was Thursday on Tuesday. I have Friday off so going to work yesterday was hard!

    1. Accounts nearly finished.

    2. Both DS's are getting on well still no silly arguments yet and sharing a car is still going well and no fights.

    3. Coffee in the garden.

    4. Washing dried outside and already ironed. Have managed to correctly pair up a bag full of odd socks. Both son's happily wear odd socks when at uni as too much hassle to pair them up.

    5. Taken lunch into work every day this week and caught the bus on Tuesday.

    6. Still have a few remaining flowers left from my birthday over three weeks ago.

    7. Washing almost finished now down to normal amounts and not returned from uni and not done any as I'm going home soon and mum can do it amounts.

Mhags - hoping today is a good day. Mr mhags will have some bad days but he has made such good progress overall. Hugs to all your family and am continuing to pray for you.

& somewhat absent atm. Had another peculiar 'didn't happen' event featuring NZ cousin who clearly can't be here simultaneously. Head whacks do odd things.
Bus pass day yesterday, wise and slow.

    1. Rtnd 5 Library books, found 5 more. Need fodder reading at present.

    2. Re-met x after some months. Startled reaction to & face is standard now; hope it doesn't take months to regain normals, as forearm, still with lesser black and lumps.

    3. 2 parcels to NZ sent with casacde of glorious stamps thanks to PO man entering into spirit of things. £27 postage warrants more than an off-gold paper rectangle, fan of Brenda tho' & is.

    4. Bought life-like[well, it would have to be]decoy crow for 80p, as one does, in CS[but then maybe wasn't l-l enough, hence CS appearance?....there's a metaphysical examiner in there somewhere]
Looked at him this morning - v.g. - will eventually join & at Spits[and when will I be allowed back there please, Dr?]

    5. Left good cleaned Karrimor back-pack for someone at Labour HQ. More reaction and need to explain. Current & appearance alarms peeps and & sounds unappreciative, but this becomes wearying.

    6. Test-washed hair the other day. Managed-ish. Top of skull is numb still, so no hurts. College Salon shortly, for debadgering, then read, listen to cricket somewhere with no-one about.

Comments later, but that's enough for now.

Ampersand - take care of you..

    Pleasures for the last few

    1. induction went well, students actually listened and joined in this time - last time they were on phones. But - it was my notes this time, not someone else's ;)
    2. survived a taxi journey where the driver appeared partially sighted  Taxi's here are mad and the only way to get to the offices we have to go to. YEsterday the driver stopped in the middle of nowhere (HK style - i.e. still busy) and insisted we get out cos we were where we told him. Much gesticulating later and he found it.
    3. Good Skype with OH - though last night i dreamed he was lying next to me. Weird
    4. DS has finished GCSEs :T V. proud of his application and commitment to them
    5. Some nice meals out - i stick to steak and salad type dishes as i am so sensitive to some of the ingredients. Particularly MSG. However tonight we are off for a Chinese meal with our partners.
    6. My hangover is gone - 4 glasses of wine in quick succession is not to be recommended.
    7. Love going by ferry to the island for lunch
    8. Our main business here is now done, but we don't leave till sunday to start again in Singapore so i have a couple of days to sightsee (though do still have work to be done)

    have a great day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • 1) A lovely walk fairly early this morning through the local arboretum at Romsey, we've become members again as it stays open all year and you only need 3 trips to break even, some free entry tickets for guests as part of the membership too!

    2) A small and very defiant wren right next to me on a fence when we stopped to read a label on a tree, small outside but apparently T Rex on the inside, shouting his/her little head off to make us go away.

    3) We had our picnic lunch sat in a beautiful old summerhouse at the top of a valley with magnificent views, warm, breezy and we had it all to ourselves, magic.

    4) We visited the garden centre next door to the arboretum and found the San Marzarno plum tomato seeds we haven't been able to find anywhere else. Too late to plant this year but the seed is good to 2018 so next year, yum!.

    5) Another picking of really red luscious ripe strawberries from the garden, I'm the only one who likes them.......LUCKY ME!!!
