    1. watching the local floats go by with the children all dressed up for Gala Day.
    2. Dropping off six donation bags (I'm Kondoing the house and it's astonishing how good it feels to get rid of stuff!)
    3. Porridge for breakfast
    4. Realising I had a bit more in my current account than anticipated
    5. A nice cuppa when I got home.
    Looking ahead

    1. Fab week at school :)
    Yeah, Teacher!

No, you know BoP means it like that. Sits down, takes paper, and picks up tickets. We are offs to Frithster this evening, to see the Tiger Lilies! Last time we saw them, half the audience disappeared into the story about Lulu!

5 This morning was the usual Snorker fest in new pans of BoP. Well, the frying pan, what could I say, how can a man cook with tools that are burnt through.

4 And the pans are easy on BoPsie's hands as well, they go in the dish washers!

3 Raffles is on cat share we think! And he has sorted the yellow thing &

2 Now, I hath swarmed about drinks of froth, but now, jellied prefabricated deserts. What a waste! Those tart like things which look incredible, until you realise that they are just gelatine monsters. The coffee shop fruit tart! About as home made as ... Oh no, I has started!

    1 How many more times!

    Hello everyone :hello:

A busy week, so apologies for not posting this week.

mhagster - so pleased things are going in the right direction for your DH.

    1) Been running and attending various exercise classes. My class last night was Zumba. There was a new lady there, who on discovering that it was a man leading the class was a little shocked. By the end, she was at the front of the queue to book for next week!

    2) School fete today. I was life guarding in our school pool for one swimming session. Great to see the children enjoying it.

    3) Enjoying a film on our Amazon Prime (Amazon Instant Video) account. Ok, so it's really quite trashy, but I'm pleased we have the subscription.

    4) Tickets bought for a local arts festival - amongst all the high brow music events (which I generally enjoy), we've managed to find the comedy night....

    5) Liking the ideas on the Dish Up website. Ok, so teaching grandmothers to suck eggs around here, but just nice to be reminded to go back to basics!

    6) Been looking at accommodation on AirBnB. Has anyone ever stayed in accommodation found on there? There are some really good prices of accommodation in areas I'd like to visit, as they're mostly in people's homes but it's just another step into the unknown...

  • And pour. The Green Room. Wobbleade pre show.

Rubs Tum and relax. Just remember now, not music to play in moms yard!

Vicky - I did Airbnb a few weeks ago in London - 2 nights for me and my daughter in Camden for £100 - It was fine. The room was tiny but I knew that! The bathroom was clean and the home owner was very nice and made us feel welcome - offered us to use her tea and coffee and even asked if we wanted a glass of wine when we arrived - I would definitely do it again!!!

mhagster - a cronut? Sounds great fun & I hope thoroughly bad for you. Haggis... Oh, pup.
Ampersand - delighted to hear horse fraternity advising on injuries & mug a *vital* part of my life! May try to see if third age do respite...
Frith - much impressed with your work & your son's perception!
kittikins - glass art in the microwave? Awed & impressed at both creativity & strategic timing/planning.
judi - hurrah on a good tutorial, which does such wonders for morale & special letter.
DundeeDoll - delighted to hear you *are* allowed tea near-momentarily, but have to buy the dispensation!
sparrer - attagirl primping both self & garden with splendid results!
BoP - Pillow, duvet & relax? I'll certainly try to heed this wisdom. New pans?!

    OS Pleasures recently
Fun with Scouts at Fire Station - riding moor tracked vehicle & sitting in the fire engines (& bring plied with sweets left in one of the pockets!) Then allowed to play with hose... Face *aches* with grinning!

Having accidentally ended up with a fellow leader's phone, sons peeved with me for it going off, loudly, at six. I failed the penitence test by being awed that *anything* could wake them (& not myself - I'd slept right through it!)

Puttering through a supermarket's foreign section & found a half kilo of cumin! My poor mother-in-law, trying to understand *why* her son is cheering...

Womanfully resisted a Mr.Happy mug (or a companion piece, Mr.Grumpy) to cheer up call centre colleague. Must remember hot chocolate sachets - treats are vital! (Just seen Truprint £3 promotion. Ulp. Mantras! [Martin forgive me...] Poundshop came through splendidly on chocolate sachets.)

Ear-wax-shifting whoops from youngest as he realises not only can he have dripping on toast for tea (other food was available), but that also we have "mooky faht" as an alternative! Again, my mother-in-law's memory for favourite treats comes up trumps...

The Candidate has just eaten All Six Freddo frogs. Ah well. None for the weekend then.

Happy day in Huddersfield - a real two handed saw acquired and from the same stall, gratis, a Sheffield cheese knife. There's one Christmas gift soundly sorted!

Saw Hepburn "Charade" DVD on market stall but alas scratched. Drat or would have consigned to Fens-post for Ampersand. (If you must survive black eyes, do so in sensational style!)

Strap for SOS Talisman arrived early! Son delighted & wearing his tag with pride, me wearing strap (to accustom my wrist to a strap again) as I await my talisman...

No idea *what* the chaps are watching but last I heard "ooohs" like this, Samoa were playing at Murrayfield. Not Game of Thrones, but 1884?

Sorting a box to take into call centre & hopefully stay without fuss or theft. Not quite like packing for jail, but tough rules will apply. (Not least, bring your own teaspoon.) Jittering now so I can do the meal, bath & bed routine firmly tomorrow!

Huge hugs to all who need them, healing sleep and sought-for growth as applicable and if anyone hasn't got their Tax Credits sorted yet, please smile down the phone. It really does help.

1.Slept dreadfully but also slept in as poorly.
2.More vitamins, fruit and veg in attack on the virus.
3.I think I am getting addicted to Lewis series, and episodes of Outlander on Amazon watched and enjoyed.:D
4.Bacon, duck egg on toasted not so fresh bread still tasted ok.
5.I’m feeling bad about being poorly at the weekend as I’m naff company for DH so ordered in a pizza – one of his favorites, which of course helps not cooking, it’s also the first take away in a while and is paid for entirely out of pound coins – well it’s money! Also checked and the last time we ordered a delivery was 3 months ago, I knew we had been careful but I was impressed.

    Busy day today (Saturday).

    1) A lie in!

    2) Smaller son went to watch the motor racing with my brother. He lost his pass but the nice lady wrote him out a new one.

    3) I went to the Jewellery Quarter with my mother, sister and sister's baby. This was for a present for my forthcoming big birthday.

    4) Had lunch in a Caribbean caf! - saltfish fritters, which was something new to me. The first time I had ever seen goat on a menu.

    5) Good train journey there and back.

    6) Tea at mum and dad's.

    7) Readers with good memories of previous years might recognise the significance of NEW PIGS!! I haven't seen them yet as there new home is so overgrown. They'll clear that in a week or two. We thought one had got out but it was hiding!

    8) Lots of messages from smaller son.

    9) In bed with 2 hwb and about to watch Casualty.

    1. Cakes I made tasted very good. DS1 is making inroads with one of them.

    2. Good drive up to collect DS2 staying in a lovely hotel and managed to arrive early enough to eat here.

    3. Managed to find some great outfits for my cousins baby who we are seeing later at a reasonable price.

    4. Long phone call with a friend and text conversation with another friend.

    5. Sunny weather.
