3. Washing loads are on and fresh clean bedding will be lovely after a bath tonight, little things :rotfl:

1. Fab week at school
2. Left at 3:15 one day (class dismissed at 3:10 by me with my backpack on ready to go as soon as the last child was picked up!) and I managed to pick DD up from school at 4pm. Bliss
3. Started a glass art course run by DD's art teacher - awesome, it's so exciting to put bits of class together, put them in a microwaveable kiln pot and see what comes out 5 or so minutes later! This week was small bits which we're going to make into lovely pendant necklaces (C-word presents ahoy!)
4. Have been given MFL as my subject leader job from SeptemberSo pleased it's something I love...shame there's no money available to do anything exciting to get the children, teachers and parents more excited about it. But, I shall keep on doing my little bit.
5. At language club this week, we learned some Welsh - I love what sounds like bendygaedig, which means wonderful(We also ate Welsh cakes - tuition and nosh courtesy of my lovely lovely colleague
6. Looking forward to pupil-led Polish next week before I take over with some Latin, Russian, Ancient Greek, Mandarin, Czech and possibly French to finish off the term!
7. DD and I are off to Mass tomorrow morning, nope I've not converted - it's first holy communion time!
8. SUNSHINE

1. Hanging the washing outside and it only got rained on once!
2. Got through another work week without keeling over (recurrent chest/throat/sinus infections)
3. Decluttered some DVDs while enjoying a cuppa
4. Made dinner from scratch
5. Enjoyed watching a soap opera (haven't done that for years!) and explaining some of the expressions to my OH who's from the Middle East - we had some "interesting" conversations and it took an hour to watch 30 mins because this one had to be paused so often!
5. Remembered to have a big glass of water while typing this.Looking ahead0 -
Straight in with pleasures today - definitely feeling less under a cloud today!
1.Special letter and gift arrived today - can't begin to explain how lovely it is! DD3 asked what it was and who it was from - the only thing I could think of was 'my fairy god mother' (or friendly witch on a broom!) - smiles and tears but much thanks
2. used Tesco vouchers for tea out tonight - not a special occasion and just me and DD3 and DS - sharing starters and a sharing pud with a drink each - just over £20 in vouchers and we preferred that to full meals that no one finishes. Felt like a proper treat!!!
3. Tutorial was good - I seem to be on the right track - just need to write!!!
4. Sunshine and birdsong and patients and families outside in the garden at work - reminder that everyday is precious
5. Village fete tomorrow at a nearby village - DS helping out with parking with Cadets and going to meet friend and hubby! Should be fun!0 -

1. Managed to do weeks shopping of very little money especially as from tomorrow will probably have both DS's at home most of the time.
2. Planted out more veg grown from seed - butter nut squash and 'found' my gooseberries amongst the weeds.
3. Loved watching the rain and hail and as it was at 6am it didn't interfere with my day at all.
4. Just made some cakes - smell is wonderful may have a slice with coffee soon.
5. Have shredded loads of paper and sorted out letter rack which accumulates junk at an alarming rate.0 -
Great link ampersand. I too am considering my options after eleven years in the profession. Although I don't normally post here, I had better do my five OS pleasures!
Coffee on the balcony this morning
HM pizza ( quick, simple, cheap) for dinner tonight
New copy of my magazine arriving this morning
All set for my day trip tomorrow
Clean and tidy home so no chores!0 -
1. Hair trimmed and chin defuzzed yesterday yet I still put on a 1lb, not fair
! Thanks of course to steroids while I still have the remains of a ci but grateful for feeling much better than I did midweek.
2. Garden primped, preened and given a good soaking last night, it looks very happy and cheerful this morning.
3. For the first time in years I have eyebrows. A new beauty salon has opened in the village run by a young lady who has weekly special offers so I took advantage of this one. It was all very quick and painless, and not at all expensive, so I'm very pleased for the leaflet which came through my door last week. I shall go back from time to time to treat myself and support her local business. Am I the only one who keeps peeping in the mirror to see my 'new look'?
4. Fresh broad beans. Need I say more? Better still they were rtc
5. Rtc rump steak for dinner, sadly a tough and gristly piece but not too much lost as the doglet enjoyed it
Have a sunny rest of the day0 -
1) a walk in the sushine with He Who Knows.
2) a lovely cuppa when we got back.
3) DD1 has just booked tickets for the rugby world cup in September for the three of us to see Tonga play.
4) The smell of honeysuckle in the hedgerows this afternoon on our walk.
5) 2 slices of toast and marmite this morning, I've been poorly and it's the first thing I've fancied for ages, was delicious.0
