5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

Evening all. After a chilly and misty start the sun actually came out for a while , we reached the dizzy heights of 13o but it actually felt quiet pleasant.
We got a lift to and from hospital. OHs UK colleague who is over here covering work for him came and got us which was nice.
A morning at hospital and all going on right direction . So that's good. I think as OH still feels quite crappy he doesn't see just how far he's come in 3 weeks. He is amazing! He was exhausted after today's appointments but more of the same tomorrow .
Home and I went up to hardware store to buy 2 more primrose plants. I decided to put them in a little wooden, blackboard crate I nabbed from work before it got chucked out last week. So 6 primroses and the words ' spring is just around the corner..' Have been written as I found my chalks when......
I'd popped into salvos to see if the sofa I like has been reduced yet, it hasn't and as it's been there for weeks , obviously others think it's too expensive ....anyway, next to it was a lovely wooden blanket chest, a bit dusty and unloved looking but a decent price for what it is. Went home, grabbed a student, the first one I found in the house was DD1 and we went back over and got 20% off for student discount Wednesday
Then we had the fun job of walking home with it. No easy task....lots of our usual Chuckle Brothers "to me...to you" all the way home!
Anyway, moved the console table ( found a box of chalk inside .....ah, I knew I had chalk somewhere) and polished the blanket box until it was nice and shiny and gave it a hoover inside. It's now sitting perfectly in my front room with a pretty bunch off flowers and a candle glowing nicely. It's almost the same colour of wood as our polished floor boards, so looks rather at home.
Not sure if it's a pleasure but I think the dog enjoyed himself immensely. DS took him a walk to local parkland, dog found a huge puddle and if he wasn't chocolate brown before he sure is now! Filthy! His bedding is dark brown mud and I need to go and in and clean his crate as it's just filthy!
So I made spag Bol for tea ....or maybe late lunch. The kitchen clock stopped this morning at 10.50am so I wasn't aware what time it was.....kids....dinners ready! Why are we eating this early? What time is it? 4.15pm....oops! Well at least they're fed! They had irn bru to drinks and a tunnocks teacake for pudding!
Swept up,some more blooming leaves! Not too many left on the big tree in the driveway! Cars are covered in possum poop as the trees are so bare! Mine had possum fur on it this morning so not sure what was going on!
Right, better go and sort out a dog house for Haggis , have a lovely day0 -

1.Eating from freezer - which is needed this month after paying for car insurance, Mot , services and tax. Had put some money aside but feel broke after spending all that amount.
2. Spent lots of time in the garden and I'm achieving something but I still have so much too do.
3. I've enjoyed work over the last week and still much better atmosphere.
4. Have spent time sorting out finances and with a bit of effort I can pay off my debt a year earlier than I thought which also means I'll be able to retire earlier!
5. Peaceful evening ahead as the house is empty - probably the last time till I don't know when.0 -
And the rule of BoP for happiness. I is write, got it! :heartpuls And the beat goes on. Grate news from all.
BoP on early POETS Day this week. And another thing, a pleasure on the way home. A1 flocked. But car, of Germanic extraction flies down the slip road to the queue. Porsche as well. It is probably stuck in SparraLands somewhere.
You chase the unachievable, but not the necessary!0 -

Another day of hospital appointments , much hanging around waiting, much people watching and conversations listened in to!
We waited 2 whole hours to see the doctor ! However, the news we were anxiously waiting for was as good as we could hope for. The tumour had invaded the bone but they got good clearance around the piece of bone they removed. We were worried that it may have spread, so whilst it's not great news that it was in a bone its better news that it was contained.....we take our pleasures where we can.
We were picked up and dropped off.
It was so cold today, only 9o which felt like 4o apparently , lots of snow in the alps .
Went for some lunch with DD1 and then we tackled the supermarket. I've been saying everyday for about a week , I need to do a supermarket shop. Had a $20 voucher so bought some nice flowers. Dog food on special and overcharged for some shower gel that was on special offer...went to customer service and got cash back and free shower gel. Thank you !
Then quick dash in and quick dash back out with DD2 , she was getting her hair cut...charged junior price! Thank you
An evening of not much ahead, heating's on and clothes are sorted for back to work tomorrow !
Have a happy day0 -
Hey Mhags thats really great news. You are doing great. Keep praying kiddo because the power of it can never be under-estimated
1. Stripped bed this morning and put two loads of washing out on line. Quite sunny here today with a nice gentle breeze. Should dry pretty well.
2. White sheets blowing gently on a breeze on a washing line lifts my heart with glee especially with a cappuccino in hand
3. Cuddles with cat, dogs and horses - yeah just fabbo :T
4. Did loads of planting up of the tubs and baskets with all the summer bedding plants. Takes me a couple of days at it full tilt to get them done and yesterday was completion day :T Feels good to wander around the garden and look at them now starting to take hold and grow - summer has arrived
5. Just sitting here enjoying the peace and quiet - blissCat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:
