1) He Who Knows had a lovely day annoying the fish in the local carp lake today in the sun with his fishing pal.
2) Baking session and made flapjacks to use up an excess of flaked things that needed using.
3) Lovely walkies in the sun with that Hound and met an ex neighbour who told me he was going to be a grandad for the first time in around a month from now.
4) 2 courgettes almost ready in the polytunnel and a really good picking of fresh peas, yum!
5) Cleaned bathrooms and all through the bedrooms in readiness for DD2 OH and my Zebra who are coming to stay this weekend, hoorah!0 -
Hello all, been reading but not posting for ages....Recent pleasures:
1. Mr MHags being back at home with MHags and the family
2. DD and I went on a wildlife photography course at a local nature reserve today - it was awesome. We both learned so much, had a lovely time in the sunshine and came away with more knowledge about how to use our camera and some beautiful pictures.
3. Half termHave found some pre-prepared planning for most of our next topic, hoorah!
4. Sunshine!
5. Found an amazing farm shop and caf! in the depths of rural Oxfordshire, and bought some lovely picnic items to have a solo picnic to think a few things through. Yummy and good for the soul!
6. Had a sleepover at a lovely friend's house, lots of laughs and putting the world to rights.
7. Have managed to do a bit of my class' reports....it seems daft doing them in May when we don't break up until the end of July....but I guess it's what teachers have to do...
8. Bought a duplicate of our existing trifle dish - but this one was complete with 6 little bowls47 years ago my parents were given the set as a wedding present, and they only had the big dish left. For the princely sum of £1, we now have it at home

Pleased Mr Mchags is home.
Been busy for a few days.
1. Good couple of days at work - boss has retired and lovely atmosphere now - more relaxed but more productive.
2. Enjoyed being in the garden and plants growing. Hopefully will have lots of courgettes and potatoes, onions and tomatoes among others.
3. MIL is home and is managing ok but is managing to rub DH completely up the wrong way. He is close to never seeing her again I think. I'm trying to keep the peace but she is wearing my patience down too.
She seems to be pain free but doesn't feel the need to do her exercises.
4. My flowers are still looking lovely and brighten the house.
5. Tasty soup for lunch which I'd made and took into work.
6. Being given a cake from a colleague as it was her birthday. I was the only person in my department that she gave a cake too.0 -

Mrs LW So glad to hear your dog is recovering...

2. Popped to Mr T for seriously savvy shopping and it worked alright fresh bits and things we can only get on offer there.
3. Burgers from the freezer and chips with salad from the above for dinner.:o
4. Being greeted as if I had been missed for ages from the animals.:p0 -
So Mr Mhags keeps Mrs Mhags busy. Grate news! :heartpuls and the beat goes on.
Flingers and Flumbs on the telecommunication device last eve, so not wobbleade'd.
Pleasures. None, after reading Mhags posts. One passes on thanks that she is getting the run round. Because BoPsie di that when BoP had Jenny fitted. And not a big boy either!
BoP is in SparraLands and is one away from POETS Day.0 -
Trying not to moan and be miserable but really struggling at the moment - it is great to come on here and it does make me feel better about things but I'm still out of sorts! I feel like Eeyore wandering around with a dissertation shaped cloud over my head - the problem is that I seem incapable of thinking about anything else! I am trying to organise DD3s birthday party, bake a special cake, prep for DS Cadet camp and now had my Dad and DD1 announce a visit on Sunday at which they have requested home made lasagne and tablet rather than taking us out for dinner and I have no idea how I will fit it all in or find the energy as well as my studying!!! To top it all I have done a really stupid thing! When feeding the bunnies yesterday I must have left one of the hutches open!!! and something has been in and 3 out of 4 of the babies have gone! DD3 is at her dads until Friday (her birthday) and is going to heart broken!!!! I am so annoyed with myself and sad for her! I am not sure I can find pleasures!!! Moan over - sorry!!! Going to take my dissertation cloud away and hide in a corner!0

Thank you for all yours. Especially pleased that Mr Mhags is back home, hopefully Haggis can watch where he puts his paws.
Mrs LW, all the best to darling Docky.
A collection:
1. Dr C. de-weeded the back garden. Front still needs doing though.
2. Eurovision. I love it, and as with any sort-of-national-event I went on Twitter when it was on. I spotted a Twitter competition to win a Best of Eurovision CD. I won and it arrives the end of the week.
3. Still having a job when it could so easily have gone the other way. All my hard work in building good lines of communication appears to have paid off.
4. Finding a new novel set in Estonia during WWII, at the time that my Estonian Mum was dodging the Russians, before escaping to Germany with the withdrawing German Army.
Mum wasn't a reader of this type of book, like me she preferred non-fiction, but this is a must for me.
5. Flying visit from DD & DGC who left bearing various gifts, as usual. Less clutter ...!
Hugs to you Judi, horrible shock re the rabbits. However, baby rabbits often pass on unexpectedly so no need to confess, I would think.
Could you not let your Dad and DD down gently and explain that just for once, lasagna and tablet are off the menu?
Completing my dissertation in 2006 did at least give me a new recurrent nightmarish dream to replace the one I'd been having about A-Levels for the previous 30 years. I hear what you are saying.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Oh dear, Judi - what a horrid thing to happen
Mhags - so pleased Mr Mhags is recovering
Kittikins - welcome back
Mrs LW - hooray for docky
DD - how's the marking? Just when i thought i was in sight of the finish line - they have moved it 35 scripts back
Pleasures for last couple of days
Weather until this evening has been great - yesterday in particular
Friends for dinner on Monday - did beef in Ale, followed by lime marscapone torte yumdrank too much
Nice walk with OH yesterday to Aberdovey along the beach. Zillions of jellyfish on the sands. Lovely cuppa where we chatted to a nice couple whose table we shared. Train back
DS had some lovely days firing engines
sitting in our tiny garden in the evening sun - we didn't think we'd get evening sun as house is west facing, but one little corner does.:T
OH had to take the car to Machynlleth as his train got cancelled this morning - so i had to go fetch it. I like Mach, it is hippy, bohemiany - my kind of place. With at least 2 great cake shops
ef and cee and BGT with my boy tonight - OH is back home
We have framed and hung 5 pictures painted / drawn by OH's late father. They have sat in a portfolio for nearly 25 years and I feel we have set them free.
Time for bed said zebedee - home tomorrowI won't be back here for a little while, which makes me sad. Although it is because I am off to Hong Kong and Singapore for the second of my three visits per year, followed by Glastonbury followed by our family holiday - so I am not expecting too much sympathy
I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Mhags - good to hear dh is home where I am sure he will recover much quicker close to his family.
My recent pleasures
1. My dgs is now 1 and is very interesting, he loves shaking his head for no.
2. Visiting my friends in the North.
3. Excited camping tomorrow in the lakes, weather forecast not too clever. Never mind I can do rain.
4. Helped dm weed the flagstones, looks much better.
5. Buying marshmallows for camping trip.
6. Dd has got a part time job.
7. Looking forward to having BBQ in rain and kids washing up on campsite.
8. Happy knowing tent is waterproof.0
