How do you do that?Oh and I learned a new thing yesterday , I'd never heard of the word crepuscular Mrs LW,
1) bank holiday so no lift, but walk into work was very pleasant, and saved me the bus fare
2) bank holiday so no gbf but had lovely lunch of hm aubergine and chick pea curry (was lots of veg, tin of chick peas, a generous splodge of garam massala, half a tube of tomato puree, couple of veggie oxos and some garlic dfv
3) bank holiday so not many people in and only 1 short meeting with new boss. 770 emails in my inbox so created two folders may for those i must sort by end of may and june for those not so urgent. by end of play 0 in inbox, 70 in may box (was 88 but managed to get 18 sorted), 174 in june, 70 emails sent and a whopping 650 deleted included spam which i also went through
4) luggage arrived safely as did £10.50 in expenses which i wasn't going to bother claming but the pa persuaded me to.
5) book club at mine. fun evening. we had read philip kerr's If The Dead Rise Not. now i'm reading the miniaturist. next book club is we are all completely beside ourselves. dd2 had bought a list of nibbles for me, all from l!dl of course. didn't make it to the desert so have 3 cheesecakes for the freezer oops. oh and cheeky 6

Evening all from blooming chilly Melbourne. We reached the dizzy heights of 11o today and will be a cool 4o overnight....brrr.
Another day spent travelling to hospital , being at hospital and a very long journey back from hospital as tram took ages to come and I just missed the train so had to wait 20mins for next one.
Anyway, OH is making good progress, slow progress but heading in the right direction, he was moved out of critical care room last night and into a single room....with a window and a bit of a view...if you crick your neck.....just he can't crick his neck! The helicopter ambulance landed just above us this afternoon, the noise was phenomenal, the view of it was amazing. Literally right above me looking out the window.
True love....I was rubbing cream in to his feet as has to wear the white anti embolism stockings and his skin was all dry.....he took a photo ( at my request) and sent it to DD2.... She replied. .....you know you're Scottish when the skin on your feet is whiter than the sheets! Very true!
Had a rebellious second day of not sending out update email....may push for a third! Will update tomorrow .
Nice chat with friend from home this morning with a Haggis boy on my lap.
I noticed ( as it's been dark when I leave in the morning and dark when I get home) that the trees on our street have went from autumn trees to winter trees, when I wasn't looking!
I'm off work until Wednesday
pirate Pete would be proud....OH and I were playing scrabble
Have a lovely day0 -
Rite, world, rites, putting and all that. BoP has escaped, just, from SparraLands!
:heartpuls And the beat goes on! Some has to put a log on the fire!
5 Got outta of SparraLands. Poxford, choked! M4 Choked and I missed the jam! Got home to a nice sweet smelling, not of Roses BoPsie! Sorted. Now, message to FGW. Thanks for ruining Friday Night! I work away, and like to go to town occasionally. Now I know it was an incident. But, it affects others. This was gone seven, 70 miles away, four hours after! Not just mine! OK, so why does this affect me. Well, BoPsie, train bound. BoP in hospital, Bedford, miles away. Op due! Goes in at nine. BoPsie train held up for an hour because of a tunnel. No communications! It affects others in a way that is hurtful! Miles away, no communication. Husband in hospital and ...
4 Had to watch cricket instead, Kent vs Hampshire. And BoPsie got a nice bottle of wobbleade inn as well!
3 Loadsa Strawbs inn as well, and two different ice creams. Tasted and they do go down very well. Now, I was saying that BoPsie does not come up smelling of Rosies. You see, BoP, has two shower gels. One, with the ship on it, in his SparraLands. The other, in the shower room of BoP, shared with BoPsie. Now, BoPsie gel, is pinkish (girlie!) and scented like a rose. Mine, Blue, and not like roses! You guess which one she used! Did not come up roses!
2 Nite, is BBQ. Now, as BoP is sway from home, the box ogle, prior to tuning to decent radio, unfortunately comes on the TV Tax channel. One offering this week was a stunt about people sacrificing their money in some get rich quick scam. BoP moved on. Advise from BoP. If it is too good to be true, it is tooooo good! BoP rule. Short arms, deep pockets! Then another, they were saying do you cook food from raw. What utter codswallop. Is this the best this media mogul is capable of! BoP sits, with mancoloid chicken, protected from Raffles. Now raffles, recently on tour into town, today has fallen off the conservatory! He is currently licking his paws!
1 You cannot go back and make a fresh start, though you can start now and change the ending!0 -

Nearly bedtime here in very chilly Melbourne , a very clear starry sky so will be cold tonight.
Up and at 'em again this morning, washing on, hung up, tidied up, dog walked , leaves in drive and porch swept, small fall out with DD2 ( due to her total selfishness) and then up for train to city.
Train, tram, apple croissant and lift up to 7th floor.
I may or may not have had a snoozette in the big comfy chair!
OH continues to do well, possibly home mid week.
Did send out an email.....lets see how much response there is.
I don't expect an easy in reply but an acknowledgment would be nice.
Perfect timing for tram and train home, it makes such a difference to the journey home, finished book I'd started yesterday so returned that to library on way home.
Home to my dog , phoned my sister, had some noodles for tea.0 -
mhags glad that DH is making good progress and that you've had a good day.
Such energy though.I'm impressed.
Yesterday was a nice day.
-slept late.
-some much needed tlc to the plants on the balcony.Very dry what with the windy conditions, but looking good.
-a nice swim, the pool was quiet.
-a good run as well, plus lots of stretches.
-reached my nsd target.Feeling very motivated to stick to my budgets.
-had a quick visit down to the lake.No sign of the cygnets.I hope there are still four of them.
Happy Sunday all.0 -
1) Lovely concert last night and chips on the way home 'cos DD had sung her heart out and was starving!
2) Just had tea sitting in her garden surrounded by roses, lavender, bees and the scent from her herb garden, most pleasant.
3) Found the pair of waterproof shoes I've been searching for when we bussed into town this morning, they didn't have the colour I wanted but have ordered them for me and because they didn't have them in the shop it's postage free and delivered to my home instead of the shop, wow!
4) Lovely veggy curry and rice for lunch in a store restaurant, really very nice!
5) House smells wonderful as she's been baking cakes for a school happening tomorrow.0
