On the edge of Sparrashire
And the things BoP forgot this week.
1 His jeans. You know what that means.
2 His watch. You have no time on your hands
3 His shaver. You have to see the hairs
4 Got his ...
Oh well, sits waiting with tea, loosed, in cup!
Distance is only a call away

Good evening everyone :hello:
Good to see Reverbe around! :j
Purple kitten - I keep meaning to get lovely bulbs like that. I saw a picture on Pinterest which made them look amazing.
Pleasures for today:
1) NSD :j :j
2) Stir fry for supper. Lovely, quick and healthy!
3) Money from eBay sales transferred. Ok, so I'm not going to make my fortune, but something is better than nothing!
4) Bought a book from Amazon which I've wanted to read for ages but a) it's now cheaper than I've seen it in a local charity shop and b) I've been able to use my gift voucher from a survey!
5) Another survey completed. So, still a long way to go until a new voucher but a little closer at least!
Suppose I'd better crack on with marking the books I've been putting off for a while...Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
welcome back reverb in your honour i reverbed a shiny 5p today. i didn't realise it was portentous
wheels have been set in motion mhags someone has handed their notice in (not me)
1) had to be in early for skype with saudi. colleague who was joining me gave me a lift in which meant a) i got a lift and b) he got a free parking place for the day. skype went well
2) lunch with gbf. he forgot the kitkat and they don't do them in the healthy nhs canteen (we had to go there cos it's got a microwave and he'd brought in the alphabetti spaghetti he'd used for his 'food for thought' photoclub homework. his partner said he wasn't allowed to throw it away!
3) cos i didn't get half a kit kat treated myself to 2 chocolates out of the fast diminishing stash in the works kitchen
4) bus down to friends' flat in town. she made a lish risotto then he and i went to cathedral for meditation with bach then another lovely friend gave me a lift home.
5) realising one day conference in edinburgh starts at 10 not 9 so i can catch the 8:22 train rather than the 6:58MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Evening all from the house that's ever so quiet!
Work was good. And I'm off again tomorrow
Free on train in this morning. Didn't have long to wait on train going home.
Got my first laundry pay! We've decided on a set amount rather than me having to count blooming tea towels and cloths every time I wash 'em....it's a win win situation!
Home to an empty house, everybody out and about ...even the dog! He was away to work with OH as its too long to leave him on his own. It was lovely and peaceful and I watched Holby and Eastenders.
Walked up to top of our little town, posted a letter, picked up prescriptions, bought some chocolate....May have eaten said chocolate ( I've fallen off my Lenten ways) , bought my UK magazines.
Had a late lunch of fried egg on toast, whilst watching TV.
Have a lovely Wednesday0 -
Pleasures for yesterday (Tuesday):
1) Posted my acceptance letter off for my voting day job.
2) Had my eyebrows threaded.
3) Got a Horrible Histories book with smaller son's book day voucher.
4) Took smaller son to nurse's as he has had an incredible allergic reaction to something (puffy face etc despite maximum dose antihistamines) and I was worried he might be allergic to the antibiotics he is on. She was the most thorough nurse ever! We even had his oxygen levels monitored! And he just sat there while she looked in his ears/took his temperature - that's a first, he'd usually be out the door! No idea what brought the reaction on.
5) Popped to Sainsburys.
6) Another coat of paint on the stairs. :-/
7) Left over Jack Monroe chick pea and peach curry for tea.
8) Had a bonfire with the lengths of old skirting board and dining table.
9) Enjoyed Holby City.
In other news! Tomorrow I have an interview. It's for a SEN teaching assistant at my old high school and my mind is totally blank. I keep thinking of questions but have no answers to them. :-( Does anyone have any hints? Even "why did you choose this job?" is a mystery to me now!0 -
1. Went to my GP about my back - I'm just being given painkillers and told to go away but this time she is arranging for me to have blood tests to see if that gives her any clues and then we can go on from there. As she would like me to have a fasting blood test as well it is going to be about 3 weeks before I can have them.
2. Spent time in the garden and dug more of a vegetable bed. I can only do small amounts at once.
3. Speaking to 3 neighbours 1 of whom I hadn't seen for a while.
4. Lasagna for tea from the freezer and a small amount left over for lunch today.
5. Ironing done.0 -

3. At last I have finally painted the last coloured radiator in this house gloss white and lovely it looks too, using gloss we were using in the bedroom, I also need to gloss the side of the stairs now, ahh isn’t decorating fun.

Good evening everyone :hello:
My birthday today! Sadly I haven't been able to have a day off, but I did get a lovely bar of chocolate from one of my class. So generous (and thoughtful!).
My pleasures today:
1) Trip to the bank. They nearly locked me in.
2) A walk into town after work. Lovely to actually see where I'm going!
3) Chat with my mum and dad.
4) DH cooked supper! :j :j
5) Signed up for the next cake club after Easter. Our theme is Mary Berry v Delia Smith and we are told either to bake a Mary or Delia recipe once we sign up. I've been given Mary Berry, so I've now got to search through all my MB books.
Birthday cup of tea is heading my way! Bring it on! :beer:Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0
