1. DD's excitement this morning when she looked under her pillow and found that the tooth fairy had been was priceless
She was even more excited about the fairy than Father Christmas!!
2. Good sauna at lunchtime.
3. Back on the dieting waggon (again). Fingers crossed, lol.
4. DD did some lovely reading and writing for me tonight.0 -
Right here's my five pleasures for yesterday:
1) Getting a good night's sleep. Haven't done that in a while. It puts a fresh perspective on things, doesn't it?
2) I saw the most gorgeous black and white cat on the way home. I really want pets, and it just made me want a cat.
3) My coconut scented candle. Relaxing.
4) The sunshine, again, because even though it gave way to the inevitable spring rain, it was nice to see.
5) Cheap tea in the form of sausage butties. Leftovers from the toad in the hole! And very nice they were too
I'll write a bit more later, as I've got to get on. Take care and have a good day everyone.

Good Morning All - On a much more even keel now so thanks for all your kind thoughts - they really helped.
Have been out bright and early with the dogs this morning and collected eggs too (two eggs all warm in the nest box). Feel I am really getting on top of the housework/clutter - rooms that have been "done" are staying done for a good long time (instead of messing themselves up immediately as before). Blitzed the garage yesterday and OH actually noticed!!
And I just realised OS in OS pleasures stands for Old Style - derrrrr I thought it was 0 (ie zero) spend .... OMG its a good job I am not working anymore!! So here are my OS 5 from yesterday (most are 0S as well...)
1. Cleared the garage
2. Gardening
3. Planting seeds in greenhouse
4. Laughing about lots of silly things with my DIL
5. Yummy HM pancakes (own eggs of course) for tea. OH had his with raspberry coulis (HG of course) I had mine with lemon and sugar.
Have a lovely day all.

Hi all
I am early today as i broke my laptop so have to use the desktop and wont be switching it on later as its on a shelf and i am leaning over a table to type this!!!
CCP - Thanks, i will start saving them now and have a think about it in a few months. I did have a quick look at their finance pages before but i think the degree i wanted would still have cost a bit but will look again as i might just do one bit of it which may be affordable (if i had the time!!:rotfl:)
Sparrer - IF ONLY!!! I find it helps as it gives me something to focus on rather than cleaning the kitchen every day and putting everything else off until tomorrow (again)!!!
Mine for today
1 Got my vista print order through of business cards and a rather nice bag with pictures of my sock monkeys on. Just need to put a load more stuff on my website and i can use it!!! :j
2 Some of the seeds that we planted at weekend have started to grow.
3 Got given a few shirts and t-shirts for dh (most brand new with tags)
4 Took ds2 to a new toddler group today and saw the support worker who i used to work with when I started my voluntary work which was really nice.
5 Got a roast cooking!
Have a good evening all.0 -
Evening all. Hope you're all well.
nuttybabe - personally I find the best thing with OU is to take it one course at a time, both for financial reasons and to stop myself being overwhelmed by the amount of work needed. I've been working on my degree for nine years and still haven't finished it, although I'm very close now. I hope you enjoy it if you do decide to go ahead.
sparrer - thanks for reminding me of lemon and ginger tea. I used to drink it a lot but stopped a few years ago (I can't remember why now) and had almost forgotten about it. I'll have to get some when I go shopping on Friday, using the money off voucher that came with my free Twinings tea (see pleasure 4). I'm sorry to hear about your unscheduled spring clean of the kitchen - I hope you've got everything dried out by now!
I've had another fairly dull day today, so let's see if I can find five pleasures:
1) The sun came out for a while at lunchtime so I could walk to the shops without getting rained out.
2) Found a very nice, practically new handbag in a charity shop for £3, to replace my existing one which is literally falling apart at the seams.
3) On my way back, I found someone mowing the grass outside the tower block opposite where I work. Is there any nicer smell than freshly cut grass?
4) Received the free Twinings tea samples I had forgotten I'd ordered, along with a money off voucher. :money:
5) Having a discussion on another thread about pizza - my absolute favouritest food :drool::drool: - and working out how I could rearrange next week's mealplan to try an idea posted on that thread.
Have a nice evening, everyone.Back after a very long break!0 -
Hiya, my five for today:
1) tea and porridge in bed courtesy dp
2) cuddles from dd this morning
3) chatted in private with boss who'd noticed I'd been quiet recently and told her I'm applying for the job in another department
4) pub lunch paid for by ex-colleague who'd popped in
5) tailored my CV to fit requirements for the other job, I'm sending it to personnel tomorrow
Thanks sparrer the guy is just full of himself(!) he so reminds me of the Harry Enfield sketch 'Women, know your limits' I just watched it again, lol!"We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough
"There is a special place in hell for women who don't help other women" - Madeleine Albright0 -

We thought it was really scrumptious. Hope you like it too.
DHs Uncle's Funeral today, but we still had managed a blessing and that was to see so many relatives we hadn't seen for such a long time. The sun shone and I'm sure he was looking down and smiling at us all celebrating his life.
That's about it today folks:)Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Evening,
My five for today
1. Toast with lots of butter (not the healthy spread normally use) on it for breakfast with a cup of tea before leaving for work. Nice to just have 5 minutes to myself this morning as I'm usually trying to get any jobs that need doing on a morning.
2. Another very full day at work but feel I am earning my money which is good.
3. Boss bought us cakes this afternoon, he doesn't know it yet but will when my company credit card statemant goes in:rotfl:We really did deserve them and needed the sugar rush. We are trying to do a years work in 2 months at the moment:eek:
4. Easy dinner of Fish fingers, chips and beans followed by jelly for pudding. Real nursery food I know but still enjoyed by all.
5. More lego with a cheap newspaper to put away in the present box.0
