3 - Parceled up a couple of gifts for friends.
4 - Having a bit of a sort out/clear out and revisiting some fond memories in the process.
5 - Candles lit and fairy lights on.0 -
Evening all
I'm in a foul mood, just foul. For a while i was enjoying it, but no longer. Dunno why - wrong side of the bed is all
Were there any pleasures?
1. Had coffee with my bezzie, haven't seen her for yonks as her dad has been very poorly. Touch wood he is on the mend now - lovely man. he used to pile us all into his car after a school disco and make sure we all got home. There were 8 of us in his Datsun once :rotfl: I was in the footwell at the back.
2. Taught a session for a colleague, went ok
3. Had a new porridge recipe for brekkie - with turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, grated apple. twas yum
4. My contact lenses went in fairly quickly. I am new to them and have distance ones over which i put reading glasses for close work as i can't walk down the road, or stairs, in varifocals. Had the vision check at the opticians, so i am good to go
5. Vegetable curry for tea. Supposed to be a 5:2 day, but i think i've had a bit more than 500 cals
So, not that hard after all. More work tonight - i think i have found the reason for my mood. 6 hours teaching tomorrow, trying to get a day off weds or thurs.
have a good evening allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Vjsmum.5 pleasures despite the mood not bad at all..
Hoping to hear something interesting back about the job I would really like this week. I also applied for a really lovely looking role that has cropped up this evening which is equally interesting.
1.Ran a few errands to pay in a few cheques and send a parcel off.
2.Had to get a battery for the car, can’t complain we have had the car a few years before needing one, pleasant surprise while it was costly it was less than I thought.:T
3.Stopped in at Lidl as we are out of animal chicken, also picked up some fresh bread, flour and vanilla essence.:o
4.Remembered to put in a prescription request online, and phoned for results that aren’t back yet.:)
5. Numerous phone calls trying to sort things out for DF.
6. Decorating progress today is not too much I have to wait for filler to dry before I can put the final gloss coat on tomorrow.;)0 -
And as I has just spanked BoPsie at UC, and got the kings correct, it is time to celebrate Jenny's third Birthday. Put in, under local, at Bedford Hospital in 2012. Twin core, dual choke version.
Skint, I am on my way!0 -
Popped on to add...
6 - Worked out again. Not sure it's making a difference shape/weight wise but it is giving me a bit of confidence so it's a good thing.
7 - Tried on the dress I bought on Friday. Wasn't 100% sure on the day but OH said yes. Tonight I really did like it a lot.0 -
1. Early morning swim, almost had the pool to myself, and the shower cubicles had not long been cleaned for the day which was lovely
2. Called in to see a friend afterwards, we had yummy Belgian hot chocolate with whipped cream
3. Stopped off at Mat Alan for a looksee on the way home and didn't buy anything
4. A friend and I gave a talk at a local school this afternoon, it was well received and had an interesting discussion with the pupils afterwards
5. hc bun with real butter, none of that horrid grey bleached stuff, for supper.
Sweet dreams0 -
Hello from a nice cool Melbourne ( when I say cool I mean a breezy 20o) which compared to high 30's of past few days feels chilly! It's very , very pleasant
So, GP visit....." I don't think you have a brain tumour" nah? Me, neither! Prescription ( which is what I went for ) given. $65 please just to see a doctor!
Girls had friends over , so they ended up staying for tea. Macaroni and garlic bread and then strawberry and coconut muffins quickly whipped up.
Today , I was in at work for 5.30am-8am , to set up for day and then came home.
Quick shower and then ran DD1 to university for her first day
We saw an emu on the way therequite thrilled. Felt a tad emotional dropping her off, seems no time since she started school.
Then it was off to hospital with OH again. We couldn't get parked so had to walk a fair way and then we had to waaaaaaait ages ( seems par for the course) , a much nicer nurse this time, lunch provided for the first time and I took 2 of my UK mags with me ( saved for this moment) and 5 hours went past quick enough.
Home to an empty house ( well for an hour) which was very pleasant. Washings on and washings out . Some quality time with my dog
Friend from Sydney phoned and we had a nice chat.
Will be heading out soon with DD2 for her appointment , so shall sit for an hour with a library book.
Do have a lovely Tuesday0
