Thanks for your pleasures. Will post my collection when I have enough, missed the music club this week due to sheet ice. Fed up of this bone chilling weather that is keeping me indoors so much.
A bit of a struggle, atm, but I'm in one piece, no ice skating for me..

Frith - I rarely answer landline fullstop. IF I'm in, IF I hear it, IF it's working[all of which can be very useful]....then after all of those, IF it's someone I want/need to speak with:-).
    Mostly it's 1471s+ http://whocallsme.com/
With mob. - can never find the thing in time when driving, even when it does ring...rarely chez&squat. Only later do I find heaps of msgs, txts, and real life 'I called you's. Never answer if it doesn't come up with a name on &'s OK list. None of this bothers me:-)
Sorry you had this with parentMum, especially with funeral and Uncle memories today.

mhags - so continuing good re: school and huge virtual hugs for dd2's courage. Don't hesitate re: police if rubbish continues. How people allow social network NONreality to be arbiters of their actions and lives, parenting absent, which is where the bad of this is, is both bizarre and terrifying, total responsibility opt-out. Yet I do, of course, value all it does mean for far-flung families, friends and exposure of other evils....
Haggis hasn't found Mmm-mmm for those baby pumpkins, fingers crossed:-)

Need a bit of wind-down after intense yesterday, so pleasures later.

Take care mcc, & and cabin fever are pretty constant companions here too.

Frosty but good looking morning outside....Hold on, that can be 1.

    2. Person discharged, s-word at bay for now. Latest care has given interest and theatre to days. No praise remotely enough for 'yet again ' GP, ambulance service and NHS patience. Thinking of late and blvd R, & knows she will never take that option. Life is precious and An Awfully Big Adventure[thankyou Beryl Bainbridge].

    3. Freecycled swanky dbl door f/f for person 2. It stopped working, c.2 yrs old, but repair option ignored.

    3. Birthday call ex emporium to young person, sounding very up, good, engaged.
Excellent stuff. Fingers crossed. &+YP agree; defer/combine special treat day to end March, 1 year on:-)

    4. Gloomsbury again just now: ep. 2

I know I posted this as pleasure last week, but Vera Sackcloth-Vest and her/his coterie are just delicious prec-i-oso. Too too, dahlingk. Cast all have such a glorious time.

    5. Cappuccino, &zap style, and rtc pain aux raisins m'attend. Feels rather 1st rug up and o/s petit dejeuner sur l'herbe-ish. Will I?

It's Friday everyone:-) Oval ball men start playing 6's tonight. Must wear best Mgr's suit for Wales, je suppose, rumpled though I always look in G&tland persona.

Well past bedtime but we are just in and I'm winding down in the intense evening heat ( still 31o) but will head bed ward soon.

    A day off.

A lovely chat with friend from home.

Nipped out to next town , I needed to buy a book token. I did not need to buy a new top, a beautiful shade of green cardigan and a skirt. They were so cheap ....not sure why they were as cheap but they are brand new. They were cheaper than they would have been in an op shop.

Home and unintentional snoozette ...as in I woke up 1.5 hours later in a boiling hot office .

We were invited to DD1's friends 18th party . Girls and I went over about 5.30pm and OH came over after work. It was a lovely evening , spent out in the garden . Friends mum had made some amazing salads , fabulous kebabs barbecued , company was good. Met some new people and really enjoyed the ice cream birthday cake!

    Have a good one!

    1) The pond in the local park looking all blue and sparkly and Mediterranean in the early morning sunshine.

    2) Left my purse at home so had to pop back in my lunch break, which meant an extra dose of Isis cuddles.

    3) Managed to catch the hat that blew off a toddler's head in a sudden gust of wind, much to his mother's relief.

    4) Feeling very tired and CBA this evening, then received an email from the local pizza place offering 50% deliveries. Oh, OK then!

    5) An Isis whirlwind making me laugh.
Back after a very long break!
  • I’m very fed up/upset, my job offer fell through completely today:mad::(, all the way through I ignored my “senses” of something doesn’t sit right. Well I shall have a baileys, send out some emails about possible roles and return some voicemails. Everything happens for a reason I believe that but just need to calm a little.
    1. An odd day today I wasn’t quite sure what to do so ended up in the green house, planting everything I have gathered to date, I bought 3 pots inside to see if that helps, planted seeds for strawberry’s, beans, petunias, sweet peas, crocusmia and a lily. I don’t hold out much hope as I am not very good at the from seed idea, but giving it a try again after saying I should learn not too last year ah well.:o
    2. In to warm up with a cuppa
    3. I did one more hour of de cluttering in the office this time, I’ve reached de clutter overload now I’ve had enough, managed to clear a little amount today, from a pile of books 19 are going, 19 are being kept. One bag of things sorted out, and a few things like candles bought down to burn tonight, as the space and window sill became available I then cleaned the window and sill. Glad I’ve done it but I’ve reached saturation point, our place isn’t bad, it’s clean, but a little cluttered in places and I think most lived in places are.
    4. Cheese and ham omelette for dinner
    5. Post delivered a delay repay coupon, only £3.80 but still.:)

Oh rats, PK I can't ignore that. I am sorry. I know a little of how that feels.

    1. Visit from v.v.v. good friend who is going out to HK shortly to be with her son who is studying linguistics at the Uni there. They had planned to climb volcanoes, flying with Malaysia Airlines, then on to Bali.. it was the flight they would have caught that crashed recently.
Then, it transpired she was in HK for Chinese NY. Scrap plan of staying out of town in student accom, rooms booked in city centre hotel with son, and lovely experiences scheduled.
Friend was born in Singapore and had an amah as a baby - her first words were Chinese and included Kung Hei Fat Choi.

    2. Gnephew making full recovery from health scare. His Mum very shaken by this, my darling niece.

    3. The warmth of my toasty warm heated throw. What bliss this is. How glad I am once again that I bought it.

    4. My second Big Issue arriving, once again sent to me by a named person being helped by them.

    5. Goodies in the post - a lovely comfortable lightweight waist pouch- belt to wear and keep hands free - will be great in the summer .
I expected to receive one bottle of shower smoothie to review and got six. Already reviewed, it smells of bubblegum and is lovely. Some good strong butter muslin to use in the kitchen - how useful!

Sorry to hear about your job news, PK. :-(

Here are my pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Phoned the fireplace man off Ebay and we shall be travelling to the East Midlands tomorrow to collect it!

    3) Ordered another tonne of logs.

    4) Booked an hour in the sensory room at Autism West Midlands for half way through half term.

    5) Tidied up and steam mopped the floors.

    6) Cleaned the car out to make room for the fireplace tomorrow. It was in a mess!

    7) Nice phone call from sister who has now officially had every nasty pregnancy/birth related problem you can have! On lots of pain killers and antibiotics even now. She's also got sciatica (told due to awful birth) so can't get upstairs. She is very happy despite the feeding every hour.

    8) Special fried rice for tea.

    9) Watching Celebrity Big Brother and will listen to the Now Show in bed shortly.

Not a pleasure as such but we found a tawny owl in our front garden today that must have been hit by a car last night. Was interesting to have a look at and I didn't realise there were any so close to the house.

Really sorry to hear your news (((PK))) :(

    1. Baking morning, dog biscuits, my first attempt at cat treats, and pineapple upside down cake for later. Also managed to remember the soup 'recipe' from a couple of weeks ago, tastes just as good :)
    2. Planted some seeds in a clear plastic 15-egg box, the lid turns it into a neat little mini greenhouse
    3. Postie brought me a small tax refund, pleased but don't think I should pay tax on my pension anyway :p
    4. A friend came for tea and cake this afternoon, she went home with half of the left over pineapple cake
    5. Just bought myself a theatre trip to see the Moscow State Circus, discounted due to age of course. It has its advantages ;)

    Sweet dreams :)
