    In? Must be.
Both bop/sie's having 'on yer bikes-ed' in some style today, assume Raffles has taken pics for us from his very own viewing basket, as per Alan Measles+Grayson. Can't wait:-)))

    1. Tony Abbott might be on way out in Oz ce soir.

    2. Ladies reversed blokies' Fri result in ruggers today: LeeKs bash world champ Roses.

    3. Exciting Magna Carta find in Kent. pk - just as well you didn't shred that one for furrpets.

    4. Great AP McCoy day in all sorts of ways.

    5. Prince Charles speaks wisely - again - on visit East. In late and blvd r's not necessarily immortal words, & as 'rabid leftie to the right of Attilla the Hun' is mostly phan.

    6. Fantastic orchestral music I'm just hearing on POTW - 'trackable ' is the extra pleasure. Stuart Maconie's choosing.

    7. Early out in case someone needed lift to Benefice communion. Clergy shortage means more people deliberately getting around to all five places in greater number, which alters dynamic/ambiance for good. Marvellous sermon/seminar:-) from our Mum-priest-in-training. Both present in great harmony today. Terrrific lift.

    8. Sun on face for 3rd time today when back to car. Must have it, be out in it.
Popped back to check someone twice more - and putah, wanting uplift email from f/c person. Still waiting, but found another taker in junk. She's on back-up now. Then sun on face and big out and walks about and book and thermos and 3 calm grazing deer, & just gazing in full grateful mind and unhindered movement and realisation of this for wording later on, right here and now.

    9. Sack of best straw cack poo from neighbour outside gate - yum yum, said the skeletal back hedgeline, but & saw, smelt first gorgeous honey-scented this down there while muckspreading:

    10. En route back #7, Dan Pearson chose Nick Drake on DID
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6zCmCIsoAE
-as did Mr Montagu Don:-), chose Road.

    11. Hier, The Alma - totality.

So pleased after hearing Thierry Dusautoir speaking about playing 1 month on from Charlie Hebdo....

    So that's 2.2x5 osps=&'s usual surfeit.

  • Sparrer what a great idea for the egg tray.
Thank you for the kind comments, the anger and upset has passed.
1.Loaded up the car with bits for friends who are also feeling blue so we popped over to share our pains.
    2. Bid on and won 5 x wood surround mirror tracked wardrobe doors on the bay, DH is going to use them to “hide the clutter in our bedroom” and build the doors over the shelves. Sounds like a great idea, we pick them up tomorrow evening from Suss$x
    3. The lovely aroma of the roast pork cooking away filling the house, soon to be a roast with all the trimmings.
    4. Re watched Ice Age 3 and chuckled away.
5.DB phoned and we also put the world to rights for a long time.

BoPsie, currently lying in second plaice, three nil down after a street and a had drubbing at Cribbage, has let Raffles loose on the field of pay, and in an upset, as blown the matches used on the 1930's crib bored out and is currant lee chasing the brass thing across the pitch.

New game, Backgammon, electronic version. Magnetic counters, cat proof. Will BoPsie come away with a win, or be sent to the bar. Proper none foamed cocoa on its way, replacement voucher for the T emporium, £2.50, is on the side ready for redemption. We gained two points over the period at the T emporium.

Crumpets, hot buttered with marmite are served. Games on!

Early doors, BoPsie sends BoP to the bar, but BoP comes straight out, sending BoPsie to the bar. BoPsie splits, leaving single tokens. BoP sees a straggler, sending BoPsie to the bar. Rolling!

Oh no, BoP has to split, BoPsie in her luck grabs two of BoPs pieces. Not looking good! Run for home! BoPsie back in the game, now trails by two, with one win. BoP has never lost two on the trot!

Unfortunately, BoPsie has quipped tat the other foot has a boot on it. BoP loses again!

Flew key BoPsie plays well, but just not well enough. She is stuck on the bar! Like a star struck rabbits, the pieces are coming off! BoP wins, games night over. BoP won four games to two and remains so good, it is ... Join us next time for live games!

VJsmum - the Burj is booked for next Monday! :j :j Went on an Abra last time, but feel that I'll be going on it many times again!

Kittikins - what AMAZING news on the observation. Well done!

    1) Great weekend with my parents (and DH), including my mum's delicious cooking. Cake with a group of their friends this morning. I was telling one that, until I moved out of home, I didn't realise that you could buy ready made cake in a shop! :o

    2) Within the group of friends was someone I used to knock around with years ago (and who was also a good friend of the pal in Dubai). He still calls my mum "Mrs A", just like his mum will always be "Mrs W" to me.

    3) NSD - my dad bought drinks at the pub. :D

    4) NPD - DH was driving.

    5) Helped my parents to book a jaunt to Guernsey later in the year. I booked their accommodation using my TopCashback account. :D Hoping they'll want me to help them book their hire car and airport parking too...

  • 1.Feeling much more chipper today, here's hoping it can survive the final week of school!
    2. Cooked cottage pie to my mum's recipe (with added paprika) and it was delish. Lots of leftovers too.
    3. Finished Massie's fascinating book on Nicholas and Alexandra. Excellent historical biography.
    4. Full weekend off with OH. Went on an adventure to Meadowhall yesterday (awful traffic coming back) and had a lazy day of football, books and film 6 of the Disney challenge today.
    5. Lisbon derby currently on the laptop while OH frantically tries to write a match report.

Not a no spend day ( ? A double negative ...does that make it a positive thing) had to gulp and pay first terms school fees. Rather than lose the interest on my savings account ( we actually get good interest out here) I've taken the hit from my main ,everyday account so shall be living very frugally until end of month.

Enjoyed my walk to and from station today. This morning ,sun was just up, birds were just starting to get busy, there was a hint of coolness in the air.
On the way home, I had a pile of mags from the library under my arm, the sun was warm and everything was nice and peaceful.

Work was fine. That is all...3 down 3 to go.

On way back from paying school fees, DD1 and I met our podiatrist , so we had a quick 5 minute chat about our feet with him....free consultation !

Bought my UK mags.....okay frugality starts ....now!

Watched Call The Midwife and as I was dozing off and my head was nodding heavily/ bouncing up/ nodding heavily and DD1 was laughing at me, I took myself off to bed for a proper snooze! Slept for an hour.

Still to inspired for dinner , I'm watching Sewing Bee at the moment.

    Have a lovely Monday :)

Dreadful day yesterday - woke at 2 only had a half hour sleep after that! I realise sympathy will be short - just sounding off :p

Vicky - Burj is fab, hope you've a head for heights! :D (I haven't really but it was fine!)
Judi - Doodle is a great name for a dog. Wasn't that in Tweenies?

    Were there any pleasures yesterday?

    1. Caught up on Call the Midwife, and saw a couple of the eating well on less programme
    2. Have decided to not catch up with Broadchurch - decided i don't care enough and I need the time. ditto a couple of websites i have followed but which are nonsense. I will read more books instead.
    3. In line with the "marie kondo" thread, i have been able to let some things go
    4. Made cakes - lemon drizzle (DS fave) and mincemeat flapjack. I have missed pottering about the kitchen
    5. DD went back happily.

So went to bed around 10 popped a sleepaid and woke at 5.30. I reckon one more and i will be fine. Was going to 5:2 today but i just can't, so I will eat clean and start on Thursday properly. Physical wellbeing is more important than Physical appearance atm.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
