    Pleasures tomorrow, sleepy..
  • Hi everyone, glad to be home. Have just caught up with all your lovely Christmas posts. Here's a few pleasures from me.

    1. we had a safe journey up M25/M1 to DP's on Christmas eve, with Ds driving up norf for the first time. Made good time as traffic very light even on M25 !!

    2. lovely Christmas day with family.
Also enjoyed dinner, pressies, puddings (mums sherry triffle is delish) and chocs :D

    3. boxing day walk, crisp and bright....

    4. and back to DP's for home-made soup and crusty warm bread ... nom nom

    5. boxing day tea time ..... SNOW !! Very pretty

    6. Saturday .... trip to local shops for reduced Christmas cards/wrap for next year. Snow looking very festive and thankfully not blocking the roads for a change

    7. reduced to clear flowers looking fresh as new ones, bought a bunch to take to the lady who owned the stables and taught me to ride back in the day, now in her 90's. Lovely to see her looking so well.

    8. sunday... fav niece and her partner came over to DP's for festive buffet and quiz. Lots of chat and laughter

    9. sad time on Monday, uncle laid to rest, lovely service, Pleasure was that all other uncles aunties and cousins attended many of whom I have not seen for many years and DS got to meet another side to his family. Seems odd putting this as a pleasure as would rather not have met up with them all for this reason, however Uncle would have approved of his send off

    10. Tuesday... safe journey home again.
Took much longer on way home. Several accidents on M1/M25 one being cut out of car so said a little prayer for them and their families and counted our blessings that it was not us.

So, Christmas has flown by and its New Years Eve already.

Here's wishing everyone a peaceful, happy and healthy New year (((Hugs))) to all xx

    1. Nice, quiet day so far, lovely to feel safe and warm when it's cold out there.

    2. Tasty lunch of a veg sausage sandwich with mustard and fried onions.

    3. I found a book I wanted to read on Amazon for my kindle.

    4. The house feels tidy as I polished all the surfaces yesterday.

    5. I will be getting the house to myself tonight as DH is going over to his friend's house. I will probably have a bath with scented candles and using some lavender essential oil in there.

  • It really SUCKS!

Rites me gals, get your rags of glads on and let'sw party the new year inn, like it's 2015, or around a quarter past eight o'clock. Them bells. Phew, things I has messed since Chrimbo pud was torched. Penguins BnS, and a new house. VL Tidy house! Sweet peas of Mhags, ok, yours in 2015 already so HNY! Cold Church! Makes robins go red? &? Fuse on Lights, aye! BagPuss, Paddington. Accordion to the wireless thingy, Danny Kelly says it is a must see feature, so get out and see it. Broomstick. Not wrong with a decent tango. Now, a site to see., Frith swimming along with her bruv. Custard for Breakfast. Song in that DD! PK soups! PK, both films. Will be asking questions later. Hope u had the Popcorn. BagPuss, well done.

    Paddington bear show tomorrow:beer:
OMG, is everyone turning into a BoPette? Buts I saws it thirst!

KK, put coat on lass, come to the inn, and we'll chuck log on fire. Blunketts, Trollops! Eggs? Oranges? Snow! Books to read.

5 Went ups to see young nieces on Day of Steve. They grow up slow at the moment. Youngest and others still love their fabulous uncle, and he even has been told, he has the softest beard, less prickly than Granddads! Well, rub your ...

4 Saturday was started with the usual snorkers and bits, washed down with cups of tea, then Big Sis came along for some tea and cream cakes, hand maid by BoP. Strange how the cake, so well matured with whisky is refused again. BiL had a slice couple of seasons ago, and boy, did he know it.

3 Now after the mess of Christmas, and the floor, BoPsie, who cannot suck, once bought her BoP a Bread maker for xmas. She was promised that day, one year she would get a vacuum cleaner. Well this dawn, in a vain a disparaging attempt to clean up, she broke her broom, in half and gave up. Well, yous nose BoP, I could not let her get away with that
, and so I got her something that really sucks. A new vax, 'alf price, in sails. And boy, what used to take forenever, was whipped in in minutes. Raffles, is unaccounted for. It will be feeding time soonest.

2 Preps maid for the evening. Pastries maid, little cases, with topped creamed chilli prawn, fish bits, nuts and guess what! Yeap, wobbleades till yours ..

1 Ring inn the New! The bells.

Do not forget your lucky bag, of money, fruits, waters and food. Bring this inn after the bells and your will have the success of the new year.

You may have seen the film first but I got the first real Paddoning Bear complete with label, hat and Dunlop wellies :p

Going out to celebrate New Years Eve, something I haven't done for many years, if you discount going to DD's pub to watch everyone get merry and more. Tonight I have two parties to go to, just to be greedy, no idea when I'll be back but am leaving the television on to try and cover the sound of fireworks at midnight. Jusr don't wake me in the morning!

Wishing you all good luck, good health and good fortune in 2015, have a good evening whatever you do, and see you in the New Year|

    Sweet dreams :) x

    1. Despite my USB memory stick corrupting and losing all the work I've done over the holidays and many more other files and folders (grrr!), I think I will be able to recreate most of it reasonably quickly....thank goodness I have done semi-frequent backups!! It's taught me a lesson....back up every flipping day!

    2. My lovely friend and her 2 teenage children are coming for a sleepover tomorrow - it'll be our NYEve :)

    3. We're going to see Padddington Bear tomorrow afternoon! Yippee!!!!!

    4. My neck is nearly back to normal now, phew! Although, annoyingly, I've misplaced the nice strong painkillers I paid £8.05 for only yesterday....hmmm....

    5. Listened to some awesome Northern Soul and other funky stuff on R2 this afternoon - DD was slightly underwhelmed with most of it, the philistine!!

    6. DD and I have both been good girls and have tidied our rooms for our guests, the new year, errrr....because my mummykin told us to?!? They do look much better I suppose, but will surely get messy very shortly! :)

    7. We were transfixed by the first RI science lecture that we recorded and snuggled up to watch this evening :) I think I need to squeeze an hour's viewing in to my class' timetable next week. As they are loving learning about electricity at the mo, I think there's a tenuous link to be made!!

    Happy New Year everyone!
