Haven't been here since last year! and was dirty gal since then aussi.

    1. Gorgeous prolonged shower and leccie toothbrush work felt so good. & is in best odour no5.

    2. Outside does NOT tempt. Total Fen-foul out there, gale blowing, low miserable sludge sky, clouds racing. Birds working hard for their munch today. Kitchen window - &'s indoor mug-clutch vantage point.

    3. Cabin fever hier - npd to BStE market day, first time in ages. Prev. unknown bus took 4 days to get there[almost], docking at every outpost en route, some never heard of. They missed a trick down in the Abbey gardens - refreshment kiosk SHUT! Loads of disappointed peeps. & had built herself up to End of Term/Year Treat. Wasn't to be. Sat on bench of 'Jim, who loved feeding the squirrels here', sun on face. Numerous as the birds they were, running about in hyper-dig mode, then changing minds for an even better Best Secret Hidey Place.

    4. Just printed out my 2015 calendriers

    -and today's dicton is:
    Jour de l'an beau,
    Mois d'août très chaud

[doesn't look good for albion, going by Fenny today]

    5. Ended day in emporium, cappuccino heaven and these Prestat red velvet truffles rtc £1.25:

Excellent timing [4 for various peeps.]
w8rs lass says they are Brenda's fave! &verdict will follow.

6.Emporium Trad.purple sprouts will accompany gorgeous left-over beef[lots for pie shepherds too], re-emerging in stir-fry. Lovely egg noodles etc. were all rtc 3-9p. Should be good. Those sprouts do NOT turn to grey unappetising mush, as slandered elsewhere.

Well it's bin a year since I posted, so Happy New Year.

5 All those prawn chilled pastry fancies eaten. Rubs tum. Together with fish dips. Rubs tum. Lie inn carried out. Snoozed.

4 Bought luck dish inn early this morning. Bits of coal, fruits, nuts, juice. That will keep BoP happy.

3 And the same as last year. Did not brake a resolution last year and maid the same this year. None done. Easy. You just gets BoP. Got it.

2 Day has bin on a BoP laze day. Watched and waved to DD, while watching the Dundee derby. Then listened to the mariners, now watching some second rate London teams, with cocoa, proper, non foam, and cheap chocolate half price biscuits. And we got big stick of Jaffas for a quid to go as well. All thanks to the W8rZ ordering too many.

1 Don't larf at others people's resolutions, when you know you could really do with ten minutes in the chair

& Aye, it is the cyclone that causes the suck, that is the reason the power is reduced nowadays. Problem for BoPsie, is new cleaning machine only allows BoPsie to fly round the house!

    Happy New Year everyone! :hello:

I'm afraid I'm suffering from the lurgy, so I won't be getting too close. :undecided Despite that, I have pleasures:

    1) New Year's Eve spent with good friends. I cooked many things from the second of the Hairy Dieters cookery books.

    2) Have discovered, via Pinterest, a very cunning meal plan/shopping list combo. Here for anyone who is interested.

    3) Loving the thoughts of the day from @Oval_station on Twitter. They get it right every day! (they even retweeted me! :j :j )

    4) Esio Trot on BBC1. Lovely. The only Roald Dahl book I haven't read. A massive oversight on my part. Oh, and the final Miranda. DH was silent throughout (first time in forever!) as he knew it would be the last one he'd have to sit through. :rotfl:

    5) Leftovers for supper. I made a beef casserole last night with mashed potatoes. How come the leftovers always taste nicer? Though, it was pretty delicious last night too.

Right, I'm going to try to recover a little more. Night all. xx

    For Yesterday
1.Mr T very forthcoming with reductions, we couldn’t wait about for the good meat reductions but we had our fair share of snack items, and the reductions have taken on new a life with DH helping me as soon as we got back to puree and freeze them into meals for dad.
2.We are recycling a lot, we’ve used a lot of candles over Christmas, all of the left over wax has been melted into new candles, and the holders cleaned up. Any eggs used the shells have been crushed and put around a tree I am trying to protect from slugs. Most containers are being re used in some fashion and jars etc are being stored for jam making.
3.My family never really celebrated new year’s, but DH always has, so he did laugh when I got a little beef joint out to defrost and it cost us a princely 70p.
    4. I am feeling rather mellow as I reflect back on 2014.
    5. We went to a late evening showing of Paddington, it was really sweet with many laughing moments.:T
For today, not exactly a busy day.
1.Was very glad the water I drank before bed worked mainly, I had erm a few cocktails last night and it was lovely, and we were treated to a free garden show of professional fireworks somewhere.
2.Watched Mary Poppins and Esio Trot:)
3.Did a few washing loads and cooked a small roast, I’ve never cooked beef before it all turned out well.:o
4.I didn’t buy an old second hand car that looked perfect but really wasn’t, a pleasure to have not forked out for it.:)

Good morning from the second of January!
It's to be a very hot day (39o) with an even hotter tomorrow so I need to do as much this morning before it gets too hot.

    Phone calls home yesterday morning.
Rtc beef in the slow cooker which later became a traditional steak pie .
Visit to the beach...we took Haggis for the first time, he was rather underwhelmed!
The most delicious ice creams after the beach.
Dinner with all my family home.....all be it 2 rather tired older children who had been at parties.
Sorted out my laundry room...moved a set of shelves around and it's created more space....now to keep it tidy, children!

    Bed!

Right I'd better go and deal with my motivation whilst it's still around...I will be a moaning puddle of moany-ness later!

    1) returned iphone having had very nice chat with his work and his mum. Tut tut 6th phone he's lost! His flat mate then phoned and i offered to bring it round as about 20 mins walk from here and dogs needed a walk. Hmmm no answer so dropped it off at police station on way back. Chap phoned my house phone and i let him know it was safe at local station. so good deed and good walk for me and dogs
    2) an hour of tidying / cleaning then preping veg for 8. Steak pie and mash nom nom
    3) late lunch merged into tea and lots of laughter
    4) one of friends absolute train nut so got out the playmobile. Wow havent had that out for a while!
    5) walked part of way back with the 3 friends and the dogs. They all adored the boys and the boys adore being adored. Turned back at library and now tucked up in bed with a cuppa. Perfect start to the new year x

&, :D, happy reading! Get on their mailing list for their freebie biannual catalogue with short stories (plus bookmark with one of the latest endpaper prints on it) dropping through your letterbox every so often. You need to buy occasionally from them (I tend to buy vouchers for other people as presents) to stay on the mailing list and that seems to be enough.

Last night I had what I think was an allergic reaction to something I ate for supper and I was very unwell for the next couple of hours. I crawled into bed at 11 and fell promptly asleep. The noise in the square at midnight disturbed me but I fell back to sleep quickly again. I have another appointment with the allergy dept at the hospital in Feb so I'll add this to the list. Bit of a strange start to the year though. :)

    Five pleasures for Thursday:

    1. Woke feeling heaps better, had a lie in then a long hot bath with another of my Lush Christmas bath bombs.

    2. Took the last of the lights down from the front windows (DSs did the tree yesterday) but left a little string of lights above the fire place because they look so pretty. I want to keep them there!

    3. Found a very useful video on YouTube about how to sharpen scissors.

    4. Made a vat of carrot and coriander soup that provided supper for tonight and some for the freezer (and made great inroads into the carrot mountain :D). Made Jamie Oliver's pear and ginger crumble recipe - which did both DSs' puddings with seconds for tomorrow (and made great inroads into the pear mountain :D). I had a tea spoonful of it to taste it (I'm off wheat and sugar) and it was yummy. Tomorrow, I'm going to get creative with the 3/4 red cabbage that's left from the vegbox. Watch this space...

    5. DS2 managed to get the lid of my big new, half-price pot of Nivea that I'd been trying to open all day to no avail. I had more-or-less resolved to take it back to the shop for a replacement. :)

Sweet dreams and Very Happy New Year everyone.

Happy New Year, everyone! Just a quick update for today:

    1) A lie in. Smaller son slept til 12.30!

    2) Did very little all morning.

    3) Swimming with sons and brother this afternoon. No one else was in so, towards the end, we tried different combinations of lights on and ended up swimming with none on at all!

    4) Tasty tea of HM chicken nuggets and potato wedges and not MH baked beans. Cherry pie for afterwards.

    5) Really enjoyed Esio Trot.

    6) Listening to the storm now. It's 12 degrees outside but due to drop a lot colder overnight.
