  • Hi all.

A full on day here hunting paddington bears.

    So
    1. Modes of transports, travelled by bus, underground, emirates cable car and by boat. Fantastic fun. I love london
    2. Making it up the hill to Greenwich observatory. Anyone who has been there knows how steep it is. Though the views are worth it.
    3. Spending the day out with hubby and girls, love them soon much.
    4. Explained to dd2 the work of the NSPCC and bless her she said "I really love you mummy I feel so safe":)
    5. Very hot bath, soothed aching limbs.

I need saving from myself I have a serious terrys mini choc orange addiction.
Please stop selling them shops lol:D

    Evening all :)

    Five pleasures for Sunday:

    1. Rediscovered the scarf in sunshine colours that I knitted a couple of years ago. Very cheering.

    2. Had a finishing off bits of food kind of a day which means I've had smoked salmon again and blue cheese with onion chutney and clementines ad infinitum and we polished off the oldest of the eggs with eggy bread and the DSs finished the treatsy icecream etc.

    3. Have decided to stick my lists (of which I have many) on a blog so that I know where to find them online. Have added loads today.

    4. Just discovered that Last Tango has begun a new series.

    5. My shoe repairs seem to have worked. :T

    Sweet dreams and keep warm

Evening all! Monday evening , we are enjoying watching Coast Australia and also enjoying a cool breeze coming through the patio doors.

A day off ( I have many this week :))

Potter, potter as no one else up!

Finished putting Christmas decorations away....I always love putting the tree up but I'm more than glad to see it go! Front room looks so bare without it.

OH, pup and I went on a road trip....yep! Straight into a storm. It was wild....we left here and it was 26o, by the time we got to where we were going it was 12o, blowing a hooly and absolutely lashing with rain.
So much for sitting outside having a nice lunch....ah well....money saving I suppose.....a sausage roll each, eaten in the car :)

    Snoozette on the drive home.

Home to a pile of Christmas cards in the post!

Today I have tidied up my hall cupboard, my ribbon drawer , the cake case/ napkin/ paper plate cupboard ( yes such things exist in my house, so much storage)

For dinner we had chicken with cream cheese and wrapped in pancetta ( chicken was from the replacement 1.5kg I was given the other week after not receiving the correct amount I'd ordered) , potato wedges made from our garden potatoes , peas and red cabbage, it was delicious.

Pudding was from a recipe from a magazine DD1 gave me for Christmas, layers of filo pastry, with melted butter in between the layers, ( baked for about 15 mins) peaches and strawberries ( recipe was rasps) , and topped with meringue and grilled for 5-10 mins . It was very sweet ....a little will go a long way:)

I am determined to eat from the cupboards/ fridge and freezer at least for next couple of weeks, will top up with fresh fruit and veg and milk as required but honestly we have more than enough to do us.
I have a huge uniform bill ahead of me for DD2 going to new school so shall economise in ways I can. The school changed the uniform just over a year ago and were phasing the old one out over next 4 years so I can't use a second hand shop and will have to buy new. However, I don't imagine she will grow much taller and uniform will do next 3 years.

After a very warm overnight (30o) last night it's a much more pleasant 17o tonight which will make for an easier sleep. Work tomorrow then 3 more days off.

    Have a lovely Monday :)

  • OS pleasures for today:
*turkey completely used up in tasty but very spicy curry
*think I'm getting OH trained -he cooked and cleared up as he did it...usually the challenge is to find the kitchen surfaces under what he's done!
*washing dried very quickly in bathroom -no need to use the tumble dryer (left by previous owners so I don't even know if it works anyway)
*spent the afternoon cuddled up with OH on the sofa snoozing
*joint DIY effort building a shoe rack...the random things that make me happy at the moment as we set up our new home together :)

  • 1.Today ah dear, I don’t know what’s going on if maybe I got over tired with the previous job, but at the moment I am sleeping “dead” and not waking up until the afternoon, DH says I must need the sleep, but he’s also sleeping through.
2.Eventually got up and made a sarnie from freezer bread:p
3.Used what was left of the light to start to clear out the green house, while DH put up PIR lights in the garden, found some bulbs trying to grow so helped them into a new pot and soil with a little water.:o
4.So chuffed to see all of the birds using the new peanut feeder.
    5. Made a soup from literally anything left over some for us, some frozen for dad, and did some odds and sods like washing loads:)
    6. Sitting here late at night watching a Christmas film:)
  • By the way a quick question which to see at the cinema Paddington or Night at the Museum 3.:D
  • PK we are off to see paddington tomorrow. I very heard good things about it. Not heard much about natm 3.

    Today's pleasured.

    2. Packed lunch and snacks taken with us, so just travelcard bought.:money:
    3. Made a note of places to revisit come the summer, that we passed through today :)
    4. A nice long list of everything I hope to achieve tomorrow, including sorting out mount Everest of clothing in all rooms. I do like a list. I have tick boxes and everything:o
    5. My bed, there's no place like it. In from night shift to a cosy bed bliss.
