1.Sugar soaped the big radiator and built in under stairs cupboard cursing each blumin slate of the lourved doors, I’m painting them tomorrow before work. It’s using everything we already have so no spend to finish off the hall, we left them in the original dirty mustard colour as we had grand plans to rip out and build this and that.:o
2.Grilled bacon sarnie for brunch.:p
3.The bought roast chicken is making curry and rice tonight (very yellow meal), and the remainder will casserole tomorrow, so 6 meals from one chicken, I’ve been known to make more but not bad.
4.Chocolate cake and a cuppa, I have to say the birthday cake was quite something topped with malteasers and it had swiss rolls all around the side.
5. Couple of washing loads done.
6. Felt like an old fogey, the Amazon pre black Friday deals were delivered today – Sunday, I was shocked, the delivery driver was very friendly.:o
7. NSD/NPD:T0 -
Evening all
Five pleasures for Sunday:
1. Worked out that I can hang the camping light from the central pole of the rotary drier so that I can see to peg out washing under the Rotaire after dark. The neighbours must think I'm bonkers (but it works!). :rotfl: Have put out two loads of sports kit tonight there's two more to go. It won't get any wetter overnight and tomorrow is supposed to be sunny for much of the day so this will maximise the drying time.
2. Really nice but simple baked spud with cheese and multi-ingredient salad with balsamic dressing for supper.
3. Got a mass of work paperwork sorted into manageable chunks. Light at the end of the tunnel!
4. Seeing DS1 wearing the onesie he bought while he was away. It's interesting that, since I decided on a strictly limited central heating plan plus wood burner only this winter, DS1 has bought the onesie and DS2 has bought himself some very nice padded slipper boots!
5. Watching 1985 programme 'Ours to Keep' about the renovation of Spitalfields houses on iplayer. &, have you seen this? http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00t3f42/ours-to-keep-incomers .

Pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to my sister's to talk to my auntie (who had stayed there overnight following the party yesterday).
3) Went to Ikea to price a few things up. Was very good and bought only food, an LED lightbulb and a USB little lamp for a stocking filler.
4) Enjoyed I'm a Celebrity and all had one of the Ikea strawberry tarts.
That's it for today!0 -
1. My small town is built on a flood plain, so am grateful that I live at its highest point as it's rained so much today that the surrounding fields are all under water and the river is overflowing.
2. Met friends for lunch, we were all given a complementary drink to go with our snack.
3. I have a bottle of my DM's favourite perfume and wore some today - a little squirt as she would say. It made her feel closer.
4. Looked at the clothing section of Mr S after lunch but resisted everything, even the gorgeous sweater I fell in love with. Have to think of Christmas, but I was sorely tempted!

Can you smell it? Citronella oil- everywhere!
Pup stole DD2's blankie, a ribbon of fleece from when she was wee. Chase around garden in pouring rain ensued, she bumped into small table in porch, down fell the ceramic oil burner filled with oil and it went everywhere! So I've scrubbed the porch, I've rinsed the porch but all I can smell is blooming citronella. Dog swallowed blankie....hoping it comes out one end or another!
Another day off and up early but not too early which was nice. Took dog out for a walk around the block and he met 3 dogs who were not one bit interested in him...he was of course very excited to see them!
Took DD2 to new school for a tour. All the others were primary kids applying for 2016! anyway , we had a good look around and it has such excellent facilities , she was very excited and inspired by what they have to offer.
Lost the deposit cheque between the house/ car/ school. It was there then it wasn't, so called into bank to cancel it (charged $12) but for peace of mind I'd rather know it can't be used if someone finds it.
Quick lunch with DD and then dropped her off at school, paid the last dribble of fees that were outstanding for there.something random like $12.37. She will finish up in a couple of weeks and I don't think will have a backward glance at the place.
Home and a little snoozette on the office sofa.
Then had to dash out in pouring rain to hand deliver something I should have posted. It was lashing with rain by this point and the roads were very busy and just bleurgh. Parked at supermarket car park and walked to the place and got just a little soggy. Then managed to get some RTC veggies for tea and some non rtc cake for pud
I need to go and put the dinner on (leftover veggie lasagne and rtc veg) and tidy my bedroom! Anything spare lying around got dumped in there for the party..at least it won't smell of citronella!
Have a good Monday0 -

Morning
Struggling to keep up with posting at the moment but some pleasures for the last week or so -
1. Meet friend for lunch with her lovely children. So good to see the little one doing so well after being very poorly not so long ago. He has to have an op beginning of next month but hopefully this will give a full diagnosis for his problems and it will be onwards and upwards from there.
2. Helping out at the Brownie and Rainbow discos, it is such a nice crowd that helps out it is more a social than anything else. Think my ears are recovering from the noise now though.
3. Helped our with the Rainbows at the local Christmas parade, it was very wet but saw a couple of people I know and the girls all enjoyed it.
4. Won some tickets to a Q&A with Sir Ranulph Fiennes and beer tasting. He is such an interesting and funny man, very good night and bought a signed copy of his book for OH and one for FIL to put away for Christmas.
5. Lunch at the inlaws yesterday as OH was doing some electrical work for them. Very yummy and it meant I didn't have to cook. I think MIL appreciated that we made the effort to go round as her DD is being a silly girl at the moment and ignoring them which is proving quite hurtful to MIL. We gave her an opening last month by inviting them all to lunch for DD birthday which seemed to go well but has been no contact since other than the odd text. Silly girl.
Mhagster - So glad your DD has a new school to go to. I hope she is very happy there.

5 Just bin in town with the BoPsie, and she snooks intoi her bag, a wobbleade for her BoP. Nice lass that. And reading the moments on here, yeah, Frith, why do medallion man, DJ, insist on playing their music over the chatter, We are there to chat, you can shove your muzac up your ... My words!
4 Just inn for the day, and the sun was outy again. Got interview on Thursday, should keep crossed of fingers ready. Hurdles and hoops to sort out first though.
3 Yesterday sorted out the lights in the oven of BoP. Bin bit offffy for a while and as it is coming to the bird roasting session shortly, BoP needs to see his creations.
2 Nite is treble quiz night, starting with UC, then a half waited Connect. Bit rhubarb that show and then The Chase US style. Keeps BoPsie happy as she reckons I am better looking than the beast.
1 There are two things that are more difficult than making an after-dinner speech: climbing a wall which is leaning toward you and kissing a girl who is leaning away from you. wc0 -
