    Good evening everyone :hello:

Goodness, back to school with a bump today! Discovered that our school website domain hadn't been renewed (despite us paying the renewal bill!), which is a major issue as it's our main marketing tool and link to the outside world. Managed to resolve the issue (ish), but the headteacher is pleased - major relief!!

    Pleasures:

    1) I still have my job. I was in a real pickle this morning about the above. Headteacher assured me that it wasn't my fault, but felt personally responsible.

    2) Received a John L voucher for doing surveys etc! :j :j £25 to spend in store... Hmmm, where to start!

    3) Travel magazines on subscription have arrived! Not necessarily money saving, but I can feel as though I've been to some places without getting on a plane! However, this month seems to be the month of massive features on Australia. I'd LOVE to visit again, especially as I have various school friends to stay with over there. Amazing that three of them have all settled out there.

    4) Back to worrying about what to bake for next Monday's cake club... It has to contain a beverage (alcoholic or non). I did a cider cake the last time this was the theme, so I need something different this time.

    5) Trying to find cheap/free ways of improving my French skills free of charge. I'm still looking. Any ideas, please?!

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Smaller son forgot his lunch card so I texted his teacher and he was able to get something to eat!

    3) Worked on my dad's birthday present (family tree).

    4) Did some mould busting on the ceilings :-/

    5) Smashed up the old toilet! Just the bath to dispose of now. Builders have gone very quiet.

    6) Lots more holiday washing and changed my bed.

    7) Car went to the garage and had a new drive shaft. It goes in a straight line now.

Horrible evening. Bigger son has done a number of child climbing courses (on a local climbing wall) and was supposed to be doing an 8 week climbing competency course. With that, he could climb anywhere with someone else who has also done the course. Well, we got there and he wouldn't put his climbing shoes on, walked out of the centre in a huff, had 3 members of staff try and talk to him outside (all the time with son running away, hiding in the dark in the car park, being sarcastic and laughing sarcastically).

So he is now off the climbing course. If you miss a week, there is no time to catch up so you can't do it. No refund for me as they can't fill his space (or the new person would also have missed week 1). I'm not paying again for him to go back on the children's courses so no climbing for him for the foreseeable future.

Then I was talking to him crossly in the car on the way home and he said "Oh, are you still going on about that?"........ Grrrrrrrr!

Quick hello from our favourite cafe.....had a scone but left more than half as it's not as nice as it sounded! ( bacon, cheese and herb)

Went for an early morning swim with my girls this morning ....don't think I've swam this whole year! No doubt I will feel it tomorrow!

Had a nice chat with wise friend from home, not spoken in a while so was good to catch up.

DD2 has been referred to psychologist and we have first 3 appointments set up already....they work very quickly out here and with government funding for first 10 appointments there should be minimal costs and our health insurance should pick up the shortfall.

We had a lovely lunch in the garden yesterday , rather than us all piling out to cafe , I went to bakers for bread, grocers for a cooked chicken and coleslaw and then the rest from the fridge and we had a lovely al fresco meal for a fraction of the price.

One more exam done each for DS and DD1, both only got 2 to do.

Read and read my book until I finished it....what a twist in the tale.

Went for dinner with our friends last night, just went to our local Thai restaurant ....brought my leftovers home with me and DD1 had them for supper! It was nice to catch up with them.

It's a public holiday here in Victoria today for the. Melbourne Cup horse race. So we've came to our cafe and I brought my iPad and have been catching up on emails.

Afternoon from the free library wifi

Mhagster - Glad you managed to get some help for DD.

    Pleasures for Sunday and Monday

    Sunday
    1. Bit of a lie in
    2. Toasted Bagels with Cream Cheese for Breakfast
    3. Lovely walk along the South Bank in London then across Tower Bridge
    4. We also went to see the Poppies at the tower, as others have said absolutely stunning. It was so busy though we are going to go back on Thursday evening after work with OH.
    5. Bus back from Tower Hill so lots of people watching and seeing the sites go by.

    Monday
    1. Went to my office only to find the builders were still building it so picked up some files and headed for a local cafe where I could get a cup of tea and on their wifi to do the stuff that needed doing urgently.
    2. Headed for the library near home and used their wifi and got quite a lot of work done
    3. Sorted out some cheques for the Guiding charity I help with. One means a child who is in care can carry on with Rainbows and all her uniform is paid for.
    4. Home early as no horrible commute at rush hour
    5. Chilli for dinner and pasta dishes made for OH and DD for lunches.

Today I am working in another local library which has been great up until about half hour ago when some idiot has come in to use the pcs and is listening and singing along to some awful rap music with not great lyrics. Don't think he gets the concept of libraries being a quiet place.
  • It was not about a dog!

Well done Mhags Jenny gis it max :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls Bump, like try it? Aye Chicken, Raffles knows how to strutt his butt

5 No early morning mistiness at the flats this very day, no, I am using the optical fibres of nthe interconnected super pavement this day. It is a connected world, yet full of nonsense.

4 Remember Remember. Just tasting one of my cheap all saints eve treats that were bar gun prioce yesterday. They are perfect for tomorrow. Remember Remember! BoPsie had a nice treat as well, and she is all giggly this day.

3 Good start to the day on Classico wireless thing. Scampton Walla signature tune playing full blast. BoPsie not got used to it yet, but nearly gets it write. No, Scampton Walla signature tune is the one with the dance music interludes. Oh, you missed it, no worries it was Going for a Song, This Week as the Birds and Sibelius was played out as well! OMG there is now playing Sunset. Decorations ready. Be that on Sunday Morning, right breast for BoP! And if you understand THAT, BoP has special plaice for you!

2 Just done the BoPsie budget with her. Looks like she will have to leave them glad rags alone and just be the …

1 It was about how easy it was to die, not about a car accident. Bloody Scampton Walla

Ah, exits, with the words of Mr Lydon. I could be wrong, I could be right! Alas, I am afraid, the Pauline will be playing shortly!!
