    Evening everyone

    Mine for today are:

1 Making a batch of twinks with cinammon. The house smelling lovely and they tasted absolutley devine!! I dont think the mums at the school or the blokes at dh work will be getting any of these!!!! :P

2 Ds1 and dd tidying up after themselves when they played in their rooms this afternoon (without being asked)

3 Making a huge pot of bolognase for £3 and having enough left over from tonights tea for 3 more family meals so 1 for an easy tea tomorrow and 2 for the freezer! yay!

4 Dh getting his car insurance through my quidco account so I get the cashback and he did get the best deal for insurance

5 Ds2 kept toddling over to me saying cuddles cuddles all day. So got lots of cuddles from him.

6 Ds and dd just have a bit of a cold left so back to school tomorrow - yippee!! Although wont be able to catch up on any housework as Thursdays are really busy for me and I will be out all day! Ah well, at least I can go out again.

Thats all for today. Might just have one more twinks with a hot choc. mmmmmm. Might need to cancel Mondays weigh in!!! :P

    Isn't it COLD!!!

    Anyway, 5 for today!

    1) Went to my college course this morning and it was much more straightforward and less upsetting this week (it's counselling which unfortunately raises various unpleasant topics from the past).

    2) Had lunch with my mum.

    3) Went to see my younger son in his Diwali show at school complete with Bollywood music and Indian style puppets.

    4) Took my sons to gymnastics and they didn't complain TOO much (they've moved into a class where they are coached by slightly older gymnasts - of about 12-14 - and its a complete waste of time now so they're stopping at the end of this term)

    5) Had a nice chat on the phone with my sister.

Thats about it! Off to the Royal Orthopaedic hospital tomorrow (miles away!!) to wave my arm at them in a feeble sort of way. Not looking forward to it but we shall see what they say....

Yes, it is cold (we succumbed to the central heating at midday but it's off again now) so warming (((((hugs))))) to all that need or want them.

    My five for Wednesday:

    1. We'd left the house untidy last night but it only took us about 20 mins to get the whole place looking very respectable first thing.

    2. Agent sent round his handyman who proceeded to work his way through the long list of little jobs that needed doing pretty quickly and all those niggly little bits and pieces have been sorted in one go. Very efficient.

    3. Last night's soup warmed up for lunch, accompanied by the smell of bread baking in the BM. It was the first time we'd used it since moving and I wasn't convinced that it would work but it did.

    4. Massive dish of HM potato and gruyere pie for supper, baked bananas with orange, ginger and cream for pud, and apples baked ready to be warmed up for tomorrow night's pudding in a hurry at supper time.

    5. Made use of a Boots freebie cosmetics deal that I'll be able to use for my Santa type prezzies at Xmas.

    Sweet dreams

  • Morning everyone, my 5 for today are.

    1. Making hm rolls for freezer, and pizza for tea.:money:

    2. Slow cooker on overnight with chilli, the smell in the kitchen is wonderful. Got fresh chillis with ys on.

    3. Still feeling up beat after seeing all the old chums at the art class.:T

    4. Taking boots to be reheeled, before mse they would have been binned.

    5. Going out with friend for lunch. So looking forward to that.:j

Have a great os day everyone, hugs to all who need them.:hello:
  • Here's mine for yesterday:

    1. Resting. I don't get to see Children's TV all that often anymore and it reminded me to take life a bit slower.
    2. While getting through an entire box of tissues (not very OS, but couldn't help it) I managed to get a bit of sewing done.
    3. Making lists of what to get for Christmas.
    4. Getting the conundrum on Countdown before anyone else did.

Hopefully back at work tomorrow, so there should be some more OS pleasures.

    Kitchenbunny xx

Morning all  - bit chilly here this morning but the sun is shining .

SunnyGirl - many thanks for the pm's and the book title. I've ordered it from Amazon - really cheap for a NEW copy - should arrive in 3-5days :).
sunflower76 - Hope you enjoyed your night out and the chippy chips afterwards ;).
nuttybabe - hadn't thought of putting some cinnamon/spices in my Twinks - great idea :).
ACEY - sorry to hear that your ds's want to quit their gymnastics classes. Have you spoken to the leaders about this situation? I hope something can be sorted out for them or at least another club found that they would like.
Broomstick - well done on getting all those little jobs sorted :j.
bunny too - enjoy your lunch smiley-eatdrink022.gif
Kitchenbunny - wtg on the Coundown Conundrum :T!

    Mine for today:

    1. Visited with DD yesterday evening. She'd had quite a good day (with a little push from her b/f). Managed to fill in a huge form about dgs1 AND phoned the counselling centre. They confirmed that they had received her application (which they hadn't previously acknowledged!) for counselling and have promised to try to move her up the queue a bit - so fingers crossed.

    2. dgk's were behaving themselves - well dgs1 had a few 'moments' but he went to bed without any arguments. Not sure if me being there had an effect. It only takes 'the look' from me - you know the one - head down, specs down and look directly at them over the specs :rotfl:).

    3. Ordered OH's Christmas Present from Amazon this morning while he's still in bed .

Need to get the washing machine on and start work. ((((BIG HUGS)))) to everybody. Speak again later - love Ollie xxx
  • Mine for yesterday:

    1. Using my slow cooker for the first time, making rice pudding and it was yummy

    2. Going along to a Body Combat class with a friend who has a gym membership and can bring a guest for free. Got very sweaty and out of breath and felt fab! (And very achey this morning.)

    3. Driving around in my new (to me!) little car, listening to cheesy pop radio because hubby wasn't there to complain about it, and singing along at the top of my lungs!

    4. Watching a fantastic but very sad documentary I had recorded called Dancing with the Devil, set in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, and feeling very thankful that my life is so different.

    5. Hubby coming home at 9:30 pm from his first day at work followed by his car maintenance class and getting stuck straight into the dishes! :D Bless him.

Ollybeak: Hope your daughter's application gets processed quickly.

Here's some of mine - got lots to catch up on.....

    Thankful:
    1. That my doc sent me straight to A&E
    2. That A&E surgical team operated on me so quickly (apparently lucky I didn't end up in intensive care )
    3. That all the nurses are there to take care of you, help you and calm you (don't envy their jobs).
    4. That my mobility is only limited for a time - those first few days I realised why people need zimmer frames!
    5. That I have family that care and a hubby at home so I could come home - others were waiting to go into hospices etc as there was no-one at home to help them.
    6. That I can get my own food and that even simple food tastes so good - hospital food left quite a bit to be desired!! :o
    7. Seeing the sun shining through the windows.
    8. That supermarkets do online shopping!!!
    9. That I'd already batch cooked some things and had enough stuff in the freezer to last OH while I was in, and the first few days back home.

    10. Thankful to be alive, at home, loved, and slowly on the mend.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

    Some of mine:

    1. Seeing my gym buddies this morning, including one who's not been there for ages :T.
    2. Getting a text from my friend to say that she has a bad tummy bug - yes, I know that sounds like a strange pleasure, but she is 18 weeks pregnant and earlier this week texted me to say she had been taken with terrible stomach pains  and was worried about the baby. So to hear it's a tummy bug and nothing worse was great news :j!
    3. An unexpected visit from a friend yesterday :kisses3:.
    4. Yummy meal at Wagamama - love their cha han !
    5. Starting work on another short story and feeling the muse - all I want to do right now is get back to it :D!
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
