I posted on Wednesday last week to say that waking up and not being frightened was my OS Joy for that day. I had been told that a breast lump, found on routine scanning was nothing to worry about and they would recall me in 6 months to check it again.
GULP! They have had a change of mind and I have now been called for a biopsy, to be arranged for some time next week.
This thread is going to be the thing that will keep my spirits up whilst I wait for the biopsy and then the results. I often look at it and love to read your posts but I am not very good at joining in. Sorry!
A daily dose of the lovely simple pleasures in life is exactly what I need right now so I will be a daily visitor to your wonderful thread, if that is OK?
Pleasures so far today :
1) Letting my ex battery chickens out and them all clucking away to me and following me around the garden.
2) Neighbour coming down to have a coffee and a chat with me. Company is so good when you are worried about something.
3) Noticing the recipe for Grand Natter Bars. Thanks Patchwork I am going to busy myself making those right now.
4) Finding some bits and bobs in the fridge which I am going to use to rustle up a scrummy lunch for me.
5) Getting a lovely chatty e-mail from my distant cousin who I found recently when researching my family tree.Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -

Muppet - how awful for you. I hope that they get it sorted out and that you can have some peace of mind asap.
I love the sound of those natter bars too and am itching to bake a batch. I'd better wait til my dishwasher chaps have been and gone though.0 -
Good Afternoon  everybody - it's brrrrrrrr here today. The c/h was on from 7.00am to 9.00am but I am Oh-so-tempted right now......... Probably really need to be moving around more instead of sitting here comping .
Broomstick - well done on the home-ed with your dsand hope the violin sale goes according to plan.
bunny too - love the sound of a 'dvd day' - fleecey blanket, box of choccies, hot drink, good movie.
sunflower76 - good to hear you felt up to a trip to Aldi and your mum's. Mum's house is ALWAYS the best place to be for some TLC and
honey - wtg on getting a full night's sleepand on getting your dd immunised. My DD is terrified of needles, so I always got the job of holding the dgk's for their immunisations. Guess who also got the dirty-looks afterwards
.
Muppet81 - Sorry to hear about your recall for a biopsy. This could just be precautionary - so don't go expecting the worst that could happen. IF the 'worst does come to the worst', please remember that these things are always best caught early and it will have been a blessing that it got found NOW and not next year. (((((BIG HUGS))))) for you. Keep posting to us, if you feel up to it. Your chickens sound like real characters - I'd love to be able to have some. Unfortunately, around here, they'd only be stolen
.
scotrae - hope your dishwasher guy arrives soon so you can get on with your baking.
Not got many blessings in my day yet - too darn cold to think straight yet:rotfl:.
speak again later - love Ollie xxx0 -
Muppet81, so sorry that you have to go back, I have been where you are now and I remember how frightened I felt. I'll be thinking of you, try and keep your mind on other things (((hugs)))
Olliebeak - poor you having to take your dgk's for their immunisations, I know what you mean about the dirty look "why are you letting them do this to me mum, why?"
Right, the little one calls x0 -
Hi All.
Muppet81Big hugs to you & well done on staying positive & busy.
Ollie It's freezing here today too I succumbed to the central heating about an hour ago
Full of a cold today so not been out anywhere. I don't want to infect anyone else
1. Enjoyed watching Flash Forward last night.
2. My Dad had his follow up appt with the heart specialist after his angioplasty's in May/June and he's doing well now.
3. Made a lovely chicken curry for tea. Thought it may help 'burn' away some of the cold bugs
4. Did the final shopping list for tomorrows food shop & it's looking good & hopefully on budget :money:
5. The washing is on maidens upstairs to dry so it smells lovely every time I get to the bottom of the stairs.
I hope that everyone is having a good day xxx0 -
Hi all,
One of these days I am going to take the plunge and try making Twinks' Hobnobs, or now even Patchwork Quilt's GRAN'S NATTER BARS! I spend a small fortune in bought flapjacks for DH's packed lunch (even though I buy them in bulk).
Muppet I am sorry to hear about your recall, best wishes and try to stay positive, I shall be thinking of you (((HUGS)))
Here are my five for today:
1 - Slept all night and woke up well rested.
2 - Craft class today, the roman blinds are coming on well, one of the two small panels is almost completed (only needs another stitch line on the velcro at the top).
3 - Treated myself to a lunch in the local cafe, £4.50 bought me a (vegan, too!) African veg stew with salad and rice, very filling and full of goodness - I think that if I am careful on other days I could make this a weekly treat - after all, I am saving the family a fortune in soft furnishings!
4 - DD logged me on the PC in advance (I called her on the mobile as I was coming home) so I did not have to wait ages for it to get ready to go online.
5 - Meeting up with a friend to go to a free workshop in Overcoming Anger (I need it so much after all the aggro with neighbour AND DH!).
Love to all
Caterina xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
