Late again and have an early start so briefly
    1. No disturbances through the night so a good sleep and my feet were kept nice and warm by the mutt
    2. Took the cats to the vet for registration and general health check, amazed that there was no charge as my previous vet charged £30 for reg alone
    3. Appt with GP for a meds review. Apparently medics are happy to listen to people with copd as they know best how their condition is at any given time. Wish everyone could day the same!
    4. Advertised some more bits and pieces but there's still so much to get rid of. All proceeds are going to RBL in memory of my DM.
    5. Called in to Homebase on the way home to get the last of the bits needed for the weekend. Had a 300 nectar point voucher so used that. Every little helps.

    Sweet dreams :)

DD - well done on the offspring "proud mum" moments
Tealady - definitely a good deal. I hope to partake
VickyA - my signature bake is probably a very unglamorous but tasty banana loaf

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. day off. Tidied the house. Did some baking - I love baking. Made sourdough bread - my third attempt and the best so far; tealoaf; and brownies with a secret ingredient (Kidney beans instead of flour!). And made yogurt but it didn't go very yogurt - y. :-/
    2. Walked into town in the rain. Was supposed to open an ISA for some "university" money of DDs which was in a policy due to expire. How hard can it be to open an ISA? Very hard, it seems "Oh we don't do that IN BRANCH".. Enjoyed the walk though - even though my brolly broke, I got soaked and the sun came out as soon as i got home :rotfl:
    3. Lovely "chat" with DD on Facebook last night. Think the work load has hit her - she wants to come home for the weekend. Regrettably i am not here (have to go and take care of dad for the weekend) but hopefully will see her as we pass through Euston. She is generally OK though
    4. Pride of Britain awards - though the two bit Z listers get on my wick
    5. ooh, not sure I have a "5". Nice day though - I will carry it over.:D

Have a great day, all. I am "investigating officer" training (for cheating cases) - includes lunch; lecturing for a colleague; then taking DS to a college open day. it's all go in my world...
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Hello....from damp Melbourne....a few heavy showers this afternoon.

Workety work today , I had so much to do and got most of it done...just another day to go and then a day off. I'm looking forward to it.
I finished at 1.30 and didn't have long to wait for a train which was good....I've sussed out the train times now!

Went to post office to start and buy stamps for Christmas cards...blooming stamps have went up in price.

Went to florist and treated myself to a bunch of sunflowers, they're lovely and nice and bright.

Went to salvos, got a top and a pair of linen trousers. Had a dress, which she'd rung up in till and then I noticed it had tiny holes in it....have it for free! Thanks! Then when I washed it, it's at the back hem, and is lined so no one will see it!

Went to the bakers and me and my boy enjoyed a cake!

Tea will be pasta with nabbed from work ends of the turkey and ham joints that I'd sliced before I left.

My boss gave me a couple of bags of clothes the other day for DD2, she didn't like them all...anyway, DD1 and her friends came in after school, so one of the girls is away with a pile of designer stuff! Glad it's going to be appreciated!

Pup has been eating plants in the garden...I've checked and they're non toxic but he's not himself. Has been sick a couple of times and very drowsy...keeping an eye on him!

dd quite right to be a very proud mum and go on....get your dancing shoes on!
kittikins hope all is well and you're just to busy being a teacher :)

    Have a lovely day

May I say again, it give me grave pleasure to announce that Raffles, today is safe and well. BoPsie would had been teased if he wasn’t

Crusty bread and stick of chick. Sainbug. Naughty. Rafts and Kon Tiki. Always thought it had something to do with King Kong!! Scamps, I know. Now toasted Crumpets for all. Unbroken sleep. PK. See the bottom, rite, got it. Jenny sends a :heartpuls as well. Eagles. Ammmmaters! Eddie and the Hot Rods. John Lydon. Grunt with Passion! DD, add an hour to your life. No, just about to do the Diversity training again. Going to be fun with who is bribing who!

5 Last eve was a Scrabble event whilst the sounds of Parc Blundell were piercing the airwaves. It would had been Live, but due to technical difficulties with the Bolshevik Broadcasting Commissariat and their pogrom of denied access, the OiPad was used to acquire the spoken words. But the news is, BoPsie remains one win away from the chance of being within one win of two on the pounce. I even helped her plaice her J on the Z she had put out earlier to get 35 points for JAzZ, with the J on triple letter. Still, BoP finished on 411 to 271, and even kept a blank back to give her 20 points for not playing it. Now how fare is that! Wobbleade was also consumed. Shampoo, cheap. Don’t bottle it! CCP, keep it close to that chest.

4 Not at the shaft top today, as working from home. The local radio, as plaid last eve, has been detuned as it is in self ingratiating cross media luvin advertising mode about a non entity event this evening. Non Shull Bit radio now playing as FM Classico. At least you know what you’re listening too. I hear that our celebs are after emptying the pockets again in another round keeping me in the media. No, Medicene Sans Frontier. They were the only ones on the ground thirty years ago before some Burke turned up! Oh, and we were shot at as well! Are they still collecting the foil from milk bottles? Oh my BoP Ping. Nearly went into auto rant mood theirs! Oh, it was one flight a week, and it did not get to the meek as we did not have the resources. And before comments, not we could not drop it on the needy as they were in the way, so only the fit were able to retrieve. I think some people drive cars expressing about it in some form of grater than thou knowledge, I just call it Darwinism, though much more like Maslow’s hierarchy of needs!

3 Last eve as well, I had a drive through at the posts in the W8RZ pacr of cars. Instead of traversing in the backward direction to get the slot, I drove through. Black car of Germanic extraction decides to go round, thinking that BoP, skilful of driver such, would not be able to extrapolate such a manoeuvre so quickly, in an attempt to get the reversed plaice, found BoP there instead. Possession is the law. BoPsie legged it. Car, black, of Germanic extraction parked elsewhere. Maslow’s Self Actualisation has been beached.

2 Oh well, and not had it for such a long time. This very morning BoPsie, chained herself to the stove, and produced snorkers, bacon, spagyetti, mushrooms and poached egg. All served with refreshing apple juice, un-squeezed, tea and toasted crumpet. Tea was also consumed. Soon she will have finished the washing up as well. BoPsie is currently sourcing cake for BoP. It's nearly time for tea.

1 Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. wc

Oh, and did I says t’other day about either yous has it or not. Second interview. Apparently, and I nose that yous gals do anyway, including the fear I put into the waxing experiences, they are tripping them sens up about it! Read, inward, turn and digest PK.

Training update. Lost in translation. Is Ant Eye Corruption!

    1. Went to visit DD's pups this morning, had cuddles with little wriggly, squeaky creatures...ahhhh
    2. Took fruit and ginger cake to have with our coffee
    3. Stopped at the farm shop to buy some of the mutts favourite treats, Schmacko's and Wonky Chomps. Whatever next?!
    4. Cats ventured out a little way, didn't go further than across the lawn and scuttled back in at a gust of wind. Shouldn't laugh but cats always look so funny when the wind blows. Very pleased with the way they're settling in, they're already getting to know meal times and certainly know which cupboard their food is kept in
    5. Out with clients of a rehab unit this evening, they have to go out in pairs and always with an escort. We went to a coffee shop where we could talk in peace. It went well so will give them a good report.

Have to be up at silly o'clock as I'm meeting my DB at Reading crematorium for the scattering of DM's ashes and blessing. Everything else has been taken care of now, this is the last thing to do. It feels very final. But it's DB's birthday in a few days so I'll take him out for lunch afterwards, he took DM out shopping and for lunch every Thursday so it feels an appropriate thing to do.

    Sweet dreams :)
