It is almost 8pm and just dark ....because the clocks went forward! Yay!

Yesterday I'd to work ( I have a cook chap coming in on Tuesday for a chat who sounded very nice on the phone! ) but it was okay!

Two of the girls I work with came in after work to see puppy, we sat out in the garden and it was all very pleasant....but I feel very caught in the middle being friendly with them and being friendly with boss....staff team not very happy with her just now and I can't say too much!

OH and I went out for some dinner to a restaurant in next town, it was lovely , nice to have a catch up with him.

Up at silly o'clock this morning with pup but caught up on UK telly.
Sobbed at the end of Casualty!

Washing, washing and yet more washing but all dried on the line.

Toast and peanut butter for Brekkie and a mooch through the papers.

Went into next town and bought some cushions for my outside sofa with the voucher colleague gave me, bought some solar lights for the garden.

Home and out in the garden for a potter. Planted some more sweetcorn plants in the veg patch......aided and abetted by pup again. His name is Haggis and he is a chocolate Labrador.

Then made some biscuits and lemon cupcake , then a dash over to boss's house. They'd got in fish and chips.....I don't really like fish but ate half out of politeness ! Then we had my cupcakes for pud! Had a nice chat and sorted out new menu.....hoping new cook works out! Keep all your virtual fingers crossed! I really want to get back to normal and manage properly!
She gave me 2 bags of designer clothes that she thought DD2 might like....she likes some ....not sure what I will do with the rest ....size 8 won't fit me ...ever!

Home and a bit of 'to you, to me' a la chuckle brothers , as we manoeuvred DD1's new to her desk upstairs, with a corner turn at bottom and one at the top!

I don't have an early start at work tomorrow...yay!I will probably have an early morning puppy call but one day of not setting my alarm will be very nice.

Will be heading to bed soon..I'm looking forward to it!

    Have a good day :)
  • MHags , haggis sounds adoreable :)

    BoP ... lovely sunrise

    1. DS was up at 5AM working overtime, not a pleasure for me but I did get back to sleep and didn't wake up till 9.30. Unfortunately this means I missed the flu jab clinic as I couldn't get there before 10.15 but there is another session this friday

    2. Rain rain and more rain.... but the garden does need it. Had a walk to the shops and it was freezing.... wished I'd put a winter woolie pully on under my raincoat !

    3. Maltesers on offer in co op ... box for £1 so had a treat and shared with Ds....

4 .... whilst spending the afternoon catching up on recorded tv & films

    5. claimed a free takeaway from website which had promised delivery in 45 minutes on last occasion and failed miserably. It arrived within half an hour this time

    Have a good sunday x

  • Aye, BoPsie was driving.

5 Just done shopping. £16.66 this week. Gert fe lump of cheese, salad, cat food, the two out of ten version. Apple pie, bought, decent ham tart, bought. Scotch egg. Milk. Biscuits and crumpets. Not bought at ATSM. None evil till used. Boycott tills with evil items.

4 Up early, had wash, no trim but do need one. Had double poached egg on toast, tea and squash.

3 Got in plaice quite early. Felt up with Sparra! Now who was it that had a wax this week. Must had been awful just even thinking about BoP. Hope it I'd not put you off.

2 Night there is three bottles of wobbleade taste. That is after sea bass, new tatties, peas and cabbage. With homemaid parsley sauce. Remember, Mr Knorr comes here for recipes. Also, at w8rz they have stollen my sticky chick recipe.

    Afternoon

looks like good weekends are being had - this is what we like :D

My pleasures for last couple days

    1. saw my girl yesterday :j Met her in London, took her out for lunch, bit of shopping, afternoon tea - went our separate ways at Euston. The main points being she is having a whale of a time, settled well, made some friends very like her, raring to start the lectures proper tomorrow.
    2. Her list of things she "needed" from home made me :rotfl: - house keys, oyster card, harry potter wand, two disney dolls, two series of Friends on DVD, and a picture off her wall :p
    3. The weather is still OK - though noticeably cooler
    4. I got tickets for Glastonbury :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
    5. looking forward to Downton later and OH is cooking tea.

    Have a great evening
I wanna be in the room where it happens

BOP: Quoting the current land rover slooooogan??
I am not a fan of “taking it easy” but I am back to the last 3 weeks of commuting as of tomorrow so trying to do little.
1.An unintentional lay in, woken up by a ferret bouncing on the bed……:rotfl:
2.Played with the animals in the garden, we have a water baby who plays and plays then takes himself for a dunk in the pond.
3.Put the roast pork joint in to cook through, having loads of veggies and mash with it
4.Pleased with myself, made a tasty stock from the joint and used the veggie water to create a rather large soup, going to have to freeze about 6 portions.:o
5.I have re worded a little on my cv and put it back out again, on some of the job boards, fingers crossed.:o
    6. I forgot to mention when I got back from hospital the neighbours children bounced over full of we have stayed up to welcome you home and made you get well cards, it was very sweet.:)

And it is why the sparrows were up!
    28j8fpw.jpg

Sorry, but this sparrer truly was the early bird. I wouldn't have been but the phone rang at 2.26am, (horrid, I always think the worst when I get a night time call) it was some idiot wanting to speak to 'Mazza'. He would have been left in no uncertain terms that this wasn't Mazza's number if he hadn't woken me from a deep sleep. Then I couldn't get back to sleep again for ages, and the dawn chorus ensured I wasn't going to. I really experienced the meaning of being up at sparrowf**t

marmite congratulations, a win is a win no matter how small :)
mhags I understand being friendly with staff and owners is difficult, I had a policy never to mix business and pleasure, except at Christmas, but I was the owner so I imagine you're in a much more 'delicate' position. I admit to having something in my eye at Casualty last night too :o
VJsmum good to hear your DD has her priorities right, what could be more important than her dolls ;)
PK bless the LO's next door, what a lovely thing to do. Good neighbours are worth more than gold, aren't they?

    1. Managed an hour's sleep after the very disturbed night above, a tepid shower brought me round enough to remember what I had to do today
    2. Opened the door to let the mutt and mogs out, muttley ran out as usual, mogs refused to budge from their feeding mat! Put their breakfast down for them then they sat like sentries at the garden door until I opened it for them. Who's supposed to be the boss here?!
    3. Excited phone call from DD, her Jindo has had 7 pups, 5 girls and 2 boys. She went into labour just after 5am and the whole lot were born by 8am. If only it were that easy for humans!
    4. Shopped for the month, just under £47 including the pets, happy with that as I was out of almost everything including bread flour and even cheese - quelle horreur! Almost everything comes from@ldi these days except for top ups like milk, which I get from the local Morries just before closing when I can take advantage of all their ys shelves
    5. Speaking of ys, a friend and I went into Mr S cafe at 3pm, normally too late to order hot food but they put together a couple of roast dinners and charged us half price. There was more on the plates than a normal meal, we both took some chicken home for our dogs :)

    Sweet dreams :)

    Good evening everyone :hello:

I've been trying to post on here for the last hour, but haven't quite got there. Sorry. :o

I can't believe that your clocks have gone forward mhagster - means that Summer is on the way for you. Lucky thing!

Right, on with the main event.

    1) Saw friends today. She cooked the main course and my lemon cheesecake (Mary Berry recipe) was thoroughly enjoyed as the pudding! :j

    2) Visited said friend's village's "Apple Day" with a large variety of apples.

    3) Cake baked for tomorrow's cake club! Tomorrow's theme is "Your signature bake".

    4) DH has ironed all the shirts! :j :j

    5) Planning all done! Phew!

    Night all.

    Evening all. :)

Five pleasures for Sunday which has been a very nondescript sort of day.

    1. Waking up early then falling asleep again til rather later than I'd intended, in fact very much later than I'd intended.

    2. Finishing sorting out the butcher's block surface in the kitchen. All the sanding and re-oiling has been done and it looks much more uniform now - very much better.

    3. DS1 has had a good tackle of the sports kit all over the sitting room (and my work area and the hall) and has put most of it away. Just having this level of sorting done is motivating to do more. It had got very, very out of hand.

    4. Good chats with DS1 while we were getting on with things.

    5. Much more sunshine than I was expecting today (which has just reminded me that I must bring in the three machine loads of washing that have been drying on the line all day  since it's supposed to be terribly rainy tomorrow. I will just about be able to see...

    Sweet dreams
