    1) Nice lie-in this morning.

    2) LO pizza for brunch.

    3) Cuddly Isis.

    4) Caught up a bit on the comps board - 40 pages done, and still another 50+ to do to make it up to date.

    5) It's been an autumnal sort of day, so I'm having an autumnal sort of dinner - it's soup and pudding night. :j
Back after a very long break!

Evening all. A quick post, I'm afraid. Not feeling too great (cold hasn't quite developed yet...), but thought I'd better catch up with you all. :D

    1) Took my mum for afternoon tea as part of her birthday present. Admittedly her birthday was in August, but we'll skip over that minor detail! It was lovely and she gushed suitably.

    2) Still patting ourselves on the back that we haven't put the heating on yet.

    3) Made a cheesecake, using a Mary Berry recipe, for lunch with friends tomorrow. My friend is hosting and providing the main course and I'm taking the pudding.

    4) DH is making tomato chutney with the last of our home grown tomatoes...

    5) Managed to catch a £5 Lakeland voucher before DH recycled it. I pointed out that it's akin to treason what he'd nearly done!

    Evening all. :)

Been a bit busy but here's five pleasures for Saturday:

    1. Supper magicked out of the freezer - bit of an odd mix but it was good. I even found the end of a forgotten tub of raspberry ripple ice cream so that did DS2 and me for pud with some frozen berries thrown on it.

    2. Am about half way through a seriously good clean of the kitchen. I even did the windows which is very unlike me :rotfl: and I'm decluttering the worktops so that they are easier to clean in future. My halo is shining.

    3. DS2 eventually (on my request) went and sorted out all the tools that he'd left half under cover in the garden for the last week  but he also obviously got inspiration from my kitchen cleaning :D and swept the concrete/paved bit as well without being asked and de-cobwebbed the covered area by the back door as well. It all looks much better.

    4. The yellow/golden rose bush is flowering again. There are a good half-dozen good sized flowers about to open. I'm sorely tempted to cut them and take my mum a bunch.:)

    5. NPD & NSD.

    Sweet dreams

    1. Dropped off the bags of clothing at a scope clothes bin.:p
    2. DH wanted to do a police call out which was cancelled, so we just popped out for veg and cheap dishwasher tabs locally.
    3. 2 lots of clothes washing done to bring it up to date.
    4. I’ve ordered some turmeric pills and bromelain, as both dh and I are in a lot of joint pain at the moment, mine seems to be left from the bug, I am just hoping they work a little as they are more than I could ever work into cooking each day.
    5. Remembered to get a lovely pork joint out to defrost, roast dinner tomorrow anyone?
    6. Entered a few competitions, (but nothing in comparison to your 90 pages CCP).:)
    7. We are popping out to pick up a Chinese take away tonight, not mse but very craved as not had in a month, that’s my justification, that and I am too lazy/unable to cook it myself.:o

For the last cople of days
    1. Had a day at Wisley with a friend - lovely day she droveand traffic not too bad. We just wandered around thinking of ideas for our garden. We show in one section some cape gooseberries and were given a couple each as we talked to the gardener about how to grow them.

    2. We won at rugby yesterday.

    3. Picked more chestnuts and cobnuts.

    4. DS1 and DS2 both home for weekend - to come and watch rugby.

    5. Watched strictly.

    6. Fascinating cloud formation this morning - it seemed to have a rippled effect and also pink/red with the sunrise.
