    1. hwb already installed.

    2. Welcome 3-fig sale to super lady, seeking bits of own colonial Africa upbringing. & 's recent ex-Dunkerque piece was a wonderful, if battered, cold-painted negro boy, lying along ground, arms extended clutching water basin, head up, expression inscrutable, impossible to determine. Very special piece to me, also to her - so glad he has gone to the right home. Made hier's Spits okay and banked today. & has more than she thought?????, but all double-checked and OK. Still at tiny rebuild stage post-NZ, by norms of many sans doute, but comparisons are odious, as my maman was also wont to say. Anyway, good-o.

    3. Had more no putah over 2days when trying to post re:fantastic hi-arc rainbow the other night over emporium, which took 2-pics to capture. Told exiting others. Quite a circle of look-up-theres we made.

    4. re: 'no putah over 2days' - this has been fixed by her own&self, without any techie ?s on mse. A true first, remarquable:-) Re-did wires and plugs and all sorts.
    Ça marche:-)!!!

    5. Fantastic nights of moon this week.

    6. Full of cold from getting sodden last w/e. Couldn't be helped, but strepsilling etc. like mad, sneezing etc. This too will pass. We are lucky to know how to, have mechanics for, afford simple citrus and proven remedies to overcome minor ailments.

    7. Difficult funeral attended, with spouse permitted out of hospital 24hrs, as both have had invasive cancers. Then Vicar told us, at both families' request[they'd known and met each other, in both UK and Tanzania], that child of linked Bishop, same forename, also died this week - over 50 yrs younger. As we left, it was a beautiful afternoon suddenly. I went to my storage, to start stock-sort for yesterday. Chat with owner, just back from own oncology all-clear. Owner has known couple for over 40 years, worked >20 yrs alongside both in village College connection. Symmetries, symmetries - many atm.

    8. w8rs 1/2-price on home baking bits for MW cardholders announced in today's w/e issue - will be v.g. for Vicar's 2 years-in-village cake that & will do at end of month.

    9. Sunday b'day gift for gay friend sorted[shares b'day with &'s maman]and topped up ex MrJ.Lewis this arvo. NZ virgin olive oil from tiny &province estate, already Gold Medalled in high-rank concours mondials gastronomiques.

    10. & in hunter/gatherer status to nearby jumble of note demain...fingies x'd. Change sorted at Bank. Revolving door £500 mthly en route, back Monday:-)

    11. Reserved Lib. book collected, adjacent to Mr Lewis' today, along with....[STRIKE]3[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]4[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]5[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]6[/STRIKE], others...keep going....eventually.

    12. bop and The Good Lady Bopsie, kindly take instruction[i.e. you are Being Told, Raffles your Supervisor] to watch Two for the Road, if you are to mention the supreme Miss AH.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two_for_the_Road_(film)
Freddie R had gongs for screenplay and I was reading sth else and musing on old strange arisen mtgs this arvo, about him.

    13. Thor Heyerdahl - & was excited to learn of Great-Uncle Axel, when he wrote to &'s father, re: learning Maori, mid-50s. G-U A, polyglot bachelor eccentric extraordinaire and & corresponded thenceforth It was his annual pursuit[Copenhagen University and Museum curating/lecturing apart]to 'acquire another language', which he fluently did. His particular interests and scholarship were useful to the various Kon-tiki and Ra expeditions, also in the excavation of the Skuldejev ships. & exchanged letters over all the years until meeting/staying with his neighbour, as his vast Risvangen house was crammed floor to ceiling with EVERYTHING, artefacts, journals, newspapers, books - 1972. Beforehand, many treasures came &'s way, including full sets of signatures, specialist 1st-day covers, docs, scrolls, private expedition pics, books, silver, private jewellery[family, via Charlottenlund Palace and permitted trove,...all sorts relating.] All plundered in aftermath of R's suicide, along with so, so, so much else....anyway, anyway......

    14. Andy Street has lost BIG points with &, silly and rather gratuitously nasty, unpleasant, unintelligent, lacking all wit, anti-gallic overplode aside. Had not slightest inkling that he, with michael fabricate, heir to heseltine hair persuasion, were any sort of item.....now, that IS a Horror Story. How to rate this wonk of taste against Woy and Lizabeth in the Hurrchhhrrrss? Ok, & sat and heard to end in &obile ce soir. [had to drive to hedge/end of village for later bus. Missed other, luckily going back to check that today's 900gms of rasps were turned OFF, on their way to jam....no, they hadn't been.] And No, it's not engaging me at all atm.

Bonne nuit and blessings too many to count to all.

Posted then saw yours above, broomstick. Also had lovely fish:-) Griddled sea bass, gutted, then plumped cavity with bay/rosemary/oregano, plucked by moonlight of course, with butter, flash splash of brandy, WHHOOOOMMMP went the flames, cuisine nearly. Lemon juice. Asparagus and trad. purple carrots calmed things down. All scrummy and another left for demain:-) Calculated rtc price of both meals to be seventeen shillings and ninepence.

Thanks for Now Show, Frith - hadn't realised and it's better than 99p challenge on r4x.
Are you feeling any better? Ooh, just hearing their take on street-lewis, via forthcoming crimbo ad.

A rare non-win night for you @ village hall bingo!

Hello, been reading but too busy /tired to post, then I got the world's worst cold and cough and have been feeling out of it for days, I even had to take yesterday off sick and miss helping out at the school disco last night :(

Anyway, school is lovely, the children are noisy and I was observed by the head and the literacy coordinator and was marked "good", which was awesome :)

I've been working far too long hours and have probably become rather run down as a result, so spending the entire weekend in bed and doing as little planning as possible is going to be the key!

Hello from the land of the back porch, where it's almost 7pm, the sun is still shining, the blackbirds are singing their comforting sounds of home, the lorikeets and parrots are roosting and noisy as they fly home for the night. The bloomin' mosquitoes have been out all afternoon. I did have a dog on my knee but he's just got bitey so has put back down on the ground! I've just finished my library book and might just possibly have had a wee snooze!

Doglet has dug up my peas...has chased around with a whole bloody cabbage in his mouth that was picked from the veg patch and then was sick! Then dug up peas again....he was not my favourite puppy!

Work was not very busy, new cook person started...I think ( hope!) he will be okay! 7 hour shift passed quickly enough. Had a nice drive to and from work.

Had lunch with DD1, she found a very old copy of Milly Molly Mandy stories in op shop. It's 66 years old and smells like an old book smells! It was a favourite of mine as a child and of my girls. I delighted in looking at the illustrations.

I'd a pleasant day off work yesterday , had a GP appointment and got rather emotional , which took me by surprise, I'd never met her before and she didn't know about OHs health problems and then ......it all came out, much sobbing and snottering. She has suggested counselling for me, I might take her upon it! So much of what he/ we went through, I just 'got on with it' at the time but had no one really to talk it over with.
Will see! This was all incidental to why I was there! Then had fasting bloods done....then ate a cake!

Grocery shopping last night , bought doglet a new collar which was half price and we had a $5 off voucher...every little helps but still blooming expensive over here!

My ironing fairy has been here again.....but she has to hide from the dog as he tries to eat the cable!

    Have a happy weekend :)

Haven't posted for a few days.
    1. I have chickens - collected them yesterday and already wasted lots of time watching them.

    2. Sorted out seeds and don't need to buy very many more.

    3. A few NSD this week.

    4. No heating on this week - DH away so he hasn't wanted it on.

    5. Tidied the house and it has stayed looking good.

    6. Most of the week I have managed to walk my dog in the dry.

    7. Went to Osteopath yesterday and she seems to have sorted my back out and I feel much better.

    Grating all and one

& We has to watch ice cold in Alex thirst though. Cakes with praise, might owls. :heartpuls to KK from Jenny and others.

5 Saturday. Snorkers, poached egg, toast, spagYetti hoops, loads of mushrooms. Washed down with tea. Jam on toast. Rather late as BoPsie was late getting up. BoP was even later!

4 Watched Errol last night in Charge of the Light Brigade. No swash buckling, and a young David Niven was also in it. Lots of womanising as well.

3 Raffles, two out of ten cat, off his pouches, this morning stormed out without even looking at his bowl. BoPsie, easily distraught, remarked about the food mix. My rule of, he will when hungry! Ten minutes later, Raffles flies through entry of cat, jumps up, and demolishes the food so prepared by BoP. BoPsie is recovering, getting cuddles from Raffles.

2 Day is another night shoot. So watch the space of BoP for more notice.

1 However beautiful the the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results. wc

Caution BoPsie found in the parish

village life - urgent correction please. 'and already [STRIKE]wasted[/STRIKE]happy shiny new past participle here lots of time watching them'

kk - wise girl. Same here, but a bit further on. Out to do grass in a mo. Was up past 4bells and still v.v.cold-y. Just let that top-notch assessment, those lovely words of authoritative praise resound. Think how many times during last year you were struck down by nasty i.e. jealous, 'professionals' who were supposed to be helping you.

mhags - sounds as if new Dr has been perfect trigger for sth wise. Do accept this offer. Wonderful Ironing Fairy - :A. and =ly necessary cake:).

Doesn't that crash'n'smash cutlasser Raffles play the good Lady Bopsie up summat J.Rotten? Has her programmed very prettily indeed.
