I've had such a lovely 24 hours so thought I'd join in!

    1) Spent a lovely evening last night catching up with a friend
    2) Sampling DP's home brewed cider with friend and enjoying it very much! (Quality Control purposes)
    3) Looking at my two home made mothers day cards from DS1 and DS2 - got them early!
    4) The farmer at the top of the road stopping me this morning to tell me my 1/8 of bullock will be ready wednesday and my lamb in 2-3 weeks - (not everyones idea of nice but I like that I know where all the meat comes from and it tastes amazing)
    5) Spending the day sowing seeds in the garden under the cloche - bit of salad leaves, rocket, spring onions, radish and getting others started off indoors - butternut squash, courgette, sweetcorn and some herbs - hopefully see them spring into action soon.
    6) Having a go at growing rhubarb from seed for the first time.
    7) Deciding where the potatoes are going to go this year
    8) Finding two big bags of seed onions and shallots that i'd forgotten about
    9) Lighting the fire

Now settling down to do some uni work - do not know where to start!!

Have a lovely evening everyone x

Perhaps some more of that cider would help.....

    3. Enjoying a meal with my daughter and parents.

    4. Starting a new crochet blanket...haven't finished the other one yet but i couldn't resist starting to work with this yarn!

    5. Watered my seedlings, not a great deal of growth going on with any of them. Hopefully things will change.

Hi to gratefulforhelp and micherox . Isn't it great to find a thread which is positive and glass half full?
Ollie no daffy yet but three crocuses (crocii ) so a glimpse of the Spring to come
Love your No 4 Megs mum, I'd love to have a couple of hens but keep being told the negatives (by people who don't have any ) like they'll fly over the 6 foot garden wall and into the orchard beyond...I thought that only happened in Chicken Run :rotfl:
I always over-cater too Kittikins, I'm doing a friends birthday at the end of this month and the menu would feed an Army. Horrible to think they'd go home and have to cook, isn't it
ACEY so pleased you sound so positive, I'm sure there's a cope gene in women that men don't have ;). I love Ikea, fortunately or otherwise there's not one within 50 miles of my purse :(
Oh my word Ladyhawk, is that you in the video? It looks great fun :D
(((Hugs))) Caterina, sorry you've had such a rotten time and hope the weekend will be kinder to you
Katholicos I'll include your Uncle in my chat with Mr G tonight, and hope he'll soon be on the road to recovery :)

    My 5 -
    1. Postie brought me £20 vouchers, it seems all the survey sites have reached pay out level at once. Now I have to get down to doing them all over again and hope for much of the same in another 2/3 months
    2. She also brought me a box of goodies, perfume samples, moisturisers, another couple of eye pods and a voucher for a weeks supply of moisturiser, but can't use it at there's not a John L anywhere near me.It expires on 30th of March if anyone can make use of it
    3. She also brought me a fabric sample to complete the 5 I asked for, they're a good size so am thinking of making door pomanders with them for pressies
    4. Had my lunch in the garden! Snuggled into a warm jacket with piping hot onion soup and a roll just out of the oven, it was lovely to be able to sit in the fresh air for a short while. The indigestion which followed was worth it :rotfl:
    5. A nsd, the third this week. Must try harder next week but I didn't get back from me hols til Tuesday. That's my excuse anyway :p

Night night, (((everyone))) sweet dreams and have a happy Mothering Sunday :)

Yep - that's me! Still can't believe I did that... twice!
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Morning All,

    Happy Mothers Day!

Just catching up on everyone ......

Acey 'Good that she is "reviewing" him at the end of March and I can speak to her about it. Bad that I have been waiting nearly THREE YEARS for her to return my calls (!!!!) and "review" suggests she has actually seen him before, just not bothered to inform me... ' .............I am wondering if this is a 'Review of his statement'. This is your chance to negotiate the support you would like to be put into place for your son. Go prepared! Ask for 1:1 if he needs it, or time out, or gifted and talented etc. This is a legal document, so anything which is included, the education dept must provide. (They will have an eye on the cost:eek:). This is why it is reviewed annually to check its happening! (Even though I have done this many times as a special needs teacher and careers adviser, I was still overwhelmed when I did it as a parent for the first time, so be assertive!) :) (Sorry if I'm interfering).

Can't remember where I am up to, so 5 for Thursday/ Friday

    1. Fell off a chair and landed on a radiator, trying to revamp an old chalkboard into a noticeboard. Thankgoodness for wheat pillows I can heat up in the microwave, as I think I have whiplash:(
    2. Noticeboard looks nice:rotfl:
    3. I have been making little raffia baskets with some of my classes. This has been a bit of fun, but reinforces repeating patterns!
    4. Trip to Ikea for tea. Used a voucher and had F&C, cake and coffee for £1.40 each! Yay!:)
    5. Researching wardrobes for DD. Seen nice one. Bought all the shelves etc with £10 off £60 voucher, so now just have to go back for the carcasses when we can afford it!

Back later. Have a lovely day mums:A
