Well the worker has returned! Back to work today ...what a shock to my body clock! By 1pm it kind of said ' enough!' So I had to struggle on all afternoon feeling generally pooped! ' allowed ' myself not to rush to close and went for a later train, as I knew I was just not going to get out at usual time.

Enjoyed being back, nice to see everyone again. Got a nice welcome from colleagues.

Popped out to bank for work and treated myself to a pair of black shoes, similar to my oh so comfy red shoes and in the sale! Then i popped into florists and bought a very pretty bunch of daffodils , my favourite flower.

Train home and I had to try so hard to stay awake but I did! Then straight in front door and straight out back door to drive to school for a meeting!

    Have a lovely day :)
  • The streets are filled.

Back to work, on with your work, eight hours nap, sunny days. Chicken salad, Empty jam jars, ribbons and no toads. All these puddies, minds me of old cat of ours. BoPsie accused me of taking the heads off the flowers, only later did she believe that it was a cat of ours doing it. He also hated peas in the cat food as well! Amnd :heartpuls to all

5 Nows, there appears concussion in the BoP house with regard removal of a throne and the pending installation of the waterless urinal. Well, I can tell you now, that I have seen the signs and these devices, according to one local wobbleade outlet, has saved them, since installation in February this year, 100,000,000 litres of water. Just like that. One has to think though, with a leak that large, the water bill must had be quite high.

4 Last night we had tea out for a change, BoPsie had her fish pie with chocolate sponge. I had one the the little piggy things, with eggs and chips. A wobbleade was downed and I had a decent lemon tart to finish off with.

3 Raffles has been given the luxury of some decent cat food again, as it was on offer at the emporium. As usual, he turned his cheek at it and continues to catch his own

2 day I let BoPsie drive me to the salt mine, as we ares going out later to Cardiff. So she can see all the lights and things. Hope it will not be too bright for her.

marmite - Foxychops is gorgeous! My first ever cat, when I was a kid, was that sort of colour, so I have a great fondness for cats that look like that. :)

Marmite, foxychops is lovely! One of these days I shall have to post a photo of Ziggy. There used to be Twist as well, his brother, but sadly he got run over and died last year.

    Thanks.She is gorgeous,I agree!

Sorry to hear about Twist Caterina. It's so sad when that happens.

What I have come up with for today and yesterday:

-today and yesterday have been nsds, and I've reached my 2nd target.:D

-I went swimming today for the first time since the clovered pool is shut. There are a few open-air pools, and it was just lovely being in the water. The pool is a 50m one,so I'll need a few days to get used to it (the other one being 25m).

-I'm going to have to go over my budget,as I'll be earning less soon, but feeling very positive about it.I know that I can live on less. It'll mean a few changes, but I'll manage.:)

    -It's a lovely,sunny day here,and 27c (too hot already)

-I chatted with a neighbour this morning.

-just about to have a nice cup of tea

-veg garden looking good, some tomatoes are turning orange.
  • Ok BoPsie has deposited BoP in Ale House. I hope she is not tooooo....

Big, brave Isis has, after a few false starts, gone back outside and, perhaps not surprisingly, shows no inclination to venture outside of my garden.

I spoke too soon - Isis did venture out of the garden last night, over the fence on to the roof of next door's conservatory, where she promptly got stuck. She eventually worked out how to get down, without any great grace, and staggered back inside to collapse melodramatically on the floor! :rotfl:

Today hasn't been a very good day, but I hope I can think of at least a few pleasures:

    1) Wore my silly sandals - adorned with large yellow and orange leather flowers - and they weren't too uncomfortable by the end of the day.

    2) Lots of lovely yellow stuff.

    3) Got home to find my neighbours out in the garden listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers loud enough for me to listen too. :D

    4) LO sausage casserole for dinner, so I don't need to do any cooking in the heat.

    That'll do! :)
Back after a very long break!
  • Ah, wobbleades have been tasted. Again, thirst daters are in. No change. Cannot see a blonde, but think the rusty one is going to be ...

    BoPsie has arrived, homewards.

    Good evening

CCP sorry that your day was not great, but well done for finding some pleasures in it. Hope tomorrow treats you better.

    My pleasures for today:

    1. Hearing from my kids via email and FB, they are well and having a great time.

    2. NSD

    3. Meeting with DH for impromptu mini picnic during his lunch hour.

    4. Meeting up with my friend for a lovely free event.

    5. Finished planting the living salads in the allotment.

    Good night.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

No laptop at the moment so no posts but today the pleasures are such that it's worth struggling by on the phone.... :-)

    1) not a bad sleep.

    2) penultimate day of school.

    3) car in garage for its mot repairs. Got to borrow their teeny tiny suzuki!

    4) met friend for a cup of tea.

    5) off to a ridiculously hot Wolverhampton to collect my ebay fireplace.

    6) smaller son went to his end of primary school party. This is the second party he has ever agreed to go to. Picked him up at 8pm and they were having a water pistol fight and someone had set up a water slide from the high playground to the low!

    7) bigger son and I went geocaching round the river Severn while smaller son was at the party.

    8) finally. .. at the end of january next year I shall be an auntie.

Oh no. My post just disappeared before I pressed submit :-(

DH is still on his way home through diversions and delays. Makes me glad I'm working only a few miles from home

Tomatoes are starting to grow, have just been watering them so of course the thunder has started.

Had lovely smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches for lunch.

    Work was good :)

Two tyres fitted and £4.95 quidco, Tesco points and a £10 fuel card.

Large MrT fishfingers, chips and Lidl mushers (16p) for tea ('Where's my tea' not home yet. :rotfl:

MHagster thank you, it's all down to my MSE supporters :)

Fancynancy sorry to hear about your grumpy 'Where's my tea' man. :( Glad to hear you had a giggle though and 8 hours sleep - heaven. :A

    Hello everyone

1 - Lovely message from OH after I was feeling a little lost.

2 - Late start today so no rushing around this morning.

3 - Really good visit today in my store and some great news to help us achieve even more. Always very encouraging when you know you'll get the support.

4 - Stayed open an extra hour as the sun meant there was still people around. Lovely lady came in with her daughter. They were so nice to chat to and they were very complimentary about the braid I had done in my hair which made me smile.

5 - Watched the last How I Met Your Mother tonight. I found it pretty meh to be honest so maybe not a pleasure but I felt I should see it out to the end.
