2 - Test results came back clear for a family member.
3 - Yummy rostis with my dinner tonight.

More from yesterday's:
2. A load of laundry done at friends house while watering her plants (she is away and said it was ok to use her machine).
3. A load of laundry and a nice cup of tea and biscuits with another friend.
4. A load of laundry done with yet another friend, and one more cup of tea
5. Most of the laundry dry in the lovely sunshine and put away (except the stuff that needs ironing) and the laundry basket empty!
I have to explain, we do not have a washing machine plumbed in at the moment as we are having a lot of works done in the kitchen.
So my pleasures (and my whole day) were taken up by laundry duties, in the beautiful weather it was not at all a hardship. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
1. lovely weekend - spent time with DH while DS1 and DS2 were either working or spending time with girlfriends.
2. DH painting shelfing unit for garden for pots to go on.
3. Work wasn't too hot - can be very hot if weather warm.
4. Washing all dried on line - just ironing to do now.
5. Meal with friends.0 -
Morning all!
I can only do this retrospectively because I don't have a computer at home.
1. made it to my car pool point first so nobody could tease me for being late.
2. My lovely friend from NZ is looking after my daughter for me for the summer in exchange for board and lodgings and car use.
3. above lovely friend had made cookies and smoothie with my daughter yesterday and they were ready for me as an after work treat.
4. managed to give my rastaferian 5 year old a shower and remove all dread locks from her hair. She looked pretty as a picture after. She's a bit ferril since she got her holidays from school in June.
5. Managed to do some more clearing out. Only a couple of drawers but still good. And deep cleaned my daughters ensuite.
All good in the world on Nancy :j

Glad all is good in nancy world!
Well evening from the land of jetlag. Didn't have too much jetlag in UK ( which is unusual but I think the lighter nights/ early sunny mornings made a big difference) however I think I saw every hour on the clock through the night and then went back to bed at 11am and was awakened by girls coming in from school after 3pm.....I am back to work on Thursday so won't have much chance of an afternoon snooze there!
Did an ironing early this morning whilst catching up on a drama series I'd missed.
Not being charged for a medical appointment for OH ( this is indeed a pleasure as they're blooming expensive!)
I was glad I was here to go with him.
Snooozzzzzzzzzze( but with such strange mixed up UK/ Oz dreams)
For dinner I have made spicy pumpkin soup. Soda bread using my brand new , purchased in UK for about 1/5 of what it would cost here , Jack Monroe book. ( using a lemon from next door's tree:))
Apple and rhubarb ( frozen but from the garden in summer) crumble.
Saw a daffodil in a garden. Maybe spring is coming. Such a wintery sky today but at least it stayed dry.
Tidied up the porches ( they've not been swept in 2 weeks!) and picked a posy of the loveliest smelling roses and little spring flowers.
Picked some parsley from the garden for my soup, we have a little cauliflower in bloom ! Was saying to OH we will need to start and plan our spring crop for the garden. I've really enjoyed growing veg this year. We always had done some back home but not to this extent. It's so nice to eat food you have grown yourself isn't it?
vjs mum I'm glad V's party went well and wow to New York! Is it a surprise for her and wow to weight loss ( sobs quietly in a corner , having eaten far too much on holiday and jeans are far too tight now!)
Have a lovely day all, sparrer still sending central heated hugs to you and your family x0 -
Welcome Newbies. I will check on you all alater, :heartpuls to those with need
With apologies
5 Well, just like educationalists, social workers and humanoid remnants, at long last, my IT case has been resolved. You may ask, but our expensive service provider at the Salt Mine, that provides an excuse to overcharge for things in an incredible way by blissfully saying such entity has to be sandboxed, do not deliver MS Orifice with its full functionality. Thus not saving us pounds, but rather an excuse to deliver each element as part of an elaborate fiddle. Seven months after the deployment of MS Access, my case for it to be delivered, routed via an web of intrigue and containing delicate parameters of performance, such as inside leg measurement and an arm and a leg. My case, has been closed. I have received the email 4 times in the last five minutes or so.
4 Following on from that disclosure, bought to you via a barrage of oranges and pips, I am now in such a position, where forgiveness is no longer begged, but afforded, at will, to those who are of weakened knees. You ask and it is given.
3 See that Lydia’s house is eventually open. And the roof only becomes an obstacle. Smash the glass ceilings.
2 had Kedigree last nite, well it was not Kedgeree as it was impacted with Mackerel, and so the name has changed to protect the innocents. Raffles was duly polite about the amount of smoked fish and things, and the skins. They appear to have been eaten. And the recipe, as I nose all yous lot think I can only cook a spotted !!!!!!. Long Grain rice, 1 cup. Boil. Butter, aged (ours is BB 11 April!), and fry one onion. And mushrooms, aye, still going strong! Peas, shredded Mackerel, care should be taken not to harm any cats in the vicinity. Add chives, Coriander. Chilli and Termites (Turmeric!). Drain rice and slam into the pan, stir well. Add beaten egg. Serves 4. Dish out with Salad.
1 You got this far without much bother, so why not!0 -

1) As I still have very little work to do I was co-opted into packaging up students' graduation certificates. It's far from the most exciting job in the world, but at the same time it's nice to be doing something constructive for once.
2) Managed to resist the temptation to look at the sale in a shop which usually has lots of RTC scented candles - I've just bought a load and really don't need more!
3) This never-before-seen sight:
Yes, that's Isis, OUTSIDE!!
4) Hearing that a friend has just become a grandmother for the third time (and she's not 50 yet - her youngest daughter has three and is not yet 22!).
5) A "brrr?" behind me announcing that Isis has returned to the fold, so I can shut the door to as I'm feeling a bit chilly!Back after a very long break!0 -
CCP What a beautiful kitty you have!0
