Hi, marmite, thanks for the welcome!
CCP Isis is so beautiful!
Here are my pleasures:
1. Managed to do all I had planned today, including finishing the ironing
2. DH loved the packed lunch I made him
3. Had a shallow bath - now, the pleasure in this is that it took less than a minute to run, with the new boiler! Prior to it, for the last 15 or so years it would have taken a long time on a drizzle of lukewarm water. And DH had one too, just for the sake of novelty!
4. The builder brought more kitchen cabinets, they are beautifully made, all in wood, just what we had dreamt to have! Can't wait yo see them all oiled and in place.
5. Another lovely, peaceful day, worked hard but am happy and at peace at the end of it.
Good night. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Lamb part of whole lamb we brought from a friend.
4. All ironing done.
5. Money from quidco in my bank account.0 -

4. We snacked for dinner so no cooking or washing up much
5. A good sleep - a lovely change
6. Oh and there's got to be a 6 because reading everyone else's pleasures on this thread gives me a lift:)

CCP Isis is beautiful. I have 2 "Felix" cats too and they are quite naughty but lovable
5. My NZ house guest has boiling water with fresh ginger and lemon ready for me every morning.
4. Same lovely guest juices fresh veg for my daughter and I every morning so I'm hoping to feel less tired soon.
3. My daughter spent the late afternoon/evening with my sister so I had 3 free hours after work to myself. Unheard of. Cleaned a bit and took a nap (am a cat at heart really)
2. A fellow single parent friend (of the male variety) was texting me but became a teensy bit flirty.
1. As above - but finally asked would i like to go to the movies!!!!
Can't believe it really. Not sure how i feel as not attracted to him physically but I do want to go I think :shocked:MFW Target Jan 2016 Sub €100k

Hello from sunny Plymouth, I go home today....
1. Chatting to DD on the phone
2. Fish and chips from what is apparently the best chippie in town, pretty darned good but shame I had to fight off greedy seagulls who kept on edging closer in vain hope....
3. I've learned lots about China and Mandarin, am very tired from having so much information buzzing around in my head!
4. Sunshine, how could I forget!
5. The chance to laze around my hotel room, reading books and not feeling guilty about having full control of a TV remote! It's the little things.....
6. Nice FB chats with a chum when I was a bit tiddly after wine and was debating whether to get in touch with exOH (not hubby, last boyfriend - hmm, do I sound like a floozy?) as I was missing his hugs. Glad I didn't, even at the time I could remember how irritating he was as well as how lovely! Phew!
7. Lovely emails from my parents, both writing some Pinyin to keep me acclimatised to Chinese
8. Free trip around the acquarium, love those fish
9. Listened to the Kaiser Chiefs and other people playing on the Hooe from the peace of my room last night. It was a massive, 20,000 capacity concert and my hotel is just across the water with great acoustics!
10. Have managed to not spend too much money whilst away...free lunch on the course, and I took a bag of yummy cereal which I'm eating dry (my favourite way) for brekkie.
11. Have been paid for last week's supply teaching, I have a feeling I may have been taxed on it, grrr, but it's money for old rope as I feel they should have paid me to be there, it was so lovely!
12. Looking forward to giving my DD a mahoosive cuddle when I get home tonight.0 -
Grrrrr to grotty jetlag! Wide awake from 2am-8.30am , then dozed on and off until girls came in from school. I am back at work tomorrow so will not have the luxury of lazing about. It's not been decent sleep when I do sleep....probably a few more days like this to go.
Went a walk with OH and DD1 last night and then again with DD1 this morning at 7am. It's such a pleasure to be able to walk normally again, just step out whereas with foot pain, every step from my right foot was such an effort.
Really not done much at all, in the 4 hours I've been up!
Walked girls to physio class and paid and then nipped to local store for some meat which I got rtc.
Cleaned bathrooms.
Made a chicken, bacon and leek pasta bake which was a resounding success. Found on good housekeeping website at silly o'clock this morning.Everyone went for seconds and still some leftover for lunch tomorrow . Served with new potatoes fresh from the garden this afternoon.
My flowers which lovely colleague gave me 3 weeks ago are still in bloom.the roses are gone but the orchids still look very healthy.
super saver I read your thread at silly o'clock this morning ....picked because I liked the name of the thread! You've done very well.
tealady, broomstick and PK hope all is well with you.
sparrer pop in when you can, we are all thinking of you and yours.
CCP Isis is very pretty and might decide she likes being outdoors!
Dundee doll I have kept a tiny eye on referendum matters and keen to see how the vote swings on the day. I did ask everyone what their views were when I was home....some yes, some no and quite a few unsures. I really hope they all use their right to vote. As we won't be in the country we can't vote.
Do have a lovely Wednesday0 -

-I made a dried fruit cake yesterday. It's a new recipe,so can't wait to try it.
It was nice, but I think will be even better in a few days. It's very pale, which is a bit strange.I always expect dried fruit cakes to be dark.
CCP I have one kitty, affectionately known as Foxychops:
I also had a second cat, from the same litter (Big Whisker Face/Proopy Lass),who was very, very timid. One thing that really helped her come out of her shell was being brushed. The change in her was truly amazing.Sadly, she died a few years ago.It was very unexpected.
I hope to be back at the end of the day, with a wee list.:)0
