Sorry you didn't get the job today, KK, but best of luck with tomorrow's.
Here are my pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son woke me up bringing in a tray with soda bread toast and soft boiled bantam eggs!
3) Sons OK at school and smaller son loves doing practice SATs papers (!) so is in his element this week. SATs are next week.
4) Had my hair cut at college - £3.
5) Had a very tasty sandwich for lunch - prawns, cucumber, lettuce and very nice tomato.
6) Had the stove going all evening as it is so cold and damp. If it is really hot, you can sit on my bed upstairs and feel the warmth of it coming through the floor. :-)
7) Printed off the deeds/plans for my house to take to the CAB tomorrow so we can draft a letter about the fence being in the wrong place. :-/
8) Got grow bags for the greenhouse as the cucumbers and tomatoes are nearly falling over in their little pots.
9) Made a Good Food magazine shepherd's pie recipe for tea and it was jolly good. Just had it with some spinach leaf salad. Then had bananas and ice cream for pudding.0 -

4) then colleague, equally p'ed off by the day suggested we went for a drink.
5) then home and gbf came round to take piccies of the boys (ie dogs)

, that Charlie's death was peaceful.
Kk, make sure that you write down all the good things that are being said about you as a teacher/interview candidate and stick the list on the wall somewhere that will you read it every day, ok?Good luck for the next one - you are so close to getting a job now.
Five pleasures for Wednesday:
1. Drove to our old town, collected a prescription and went to W8rz for my free coffee and a few bits of shopping.
2. Finished unpacking the last of upstairs, including the books and did the floors. Looks very good.:D
3. Had a rest and did the Sudoku from the freebie paper from W8rz. Then had a long snooze (because the rest wasn't enough!)
4. Lovely golden roses starting to bloom in the garden. It's going to be fun to see what flowers appear through the rest of the spring and summer.
5. DS2 has done the washing up (at last)
Sweet dreams

5. In the morning I'll have a lovely golden glow
Sweet dreams0 -
Evening all from coldsville.....coldest night since September! Coldest May night in 3 years ( they do like their weather facts over here,)
I've had a most pleasant day....up and dressed early in anticipation of my food delivery ...could have stayed in bed a bit longer! It's a 3 hour delivery space which I didn't much like, however, I got on and cleaned bathrooms and the kitchen and hoovered.
What seemed like a tiny pile of groceries came but we will see if it's enough for the week! Popped into the new f&v shop which opened today, it is certainly bright and cheery, was very busy and I got loads for $10.25....then had to carry it all home!
Popped into salvos and bought a new pair of jeans and 2 tops, one will go back as it's obviously made for someone without an ample bosom!!
Stripped my bed and got everything dried outside but still have to make it again.....must remember before I'm ready to fall into bed!
My lovely hairdresser is back form maternity leave and had an appointment free late this afternoon, so a choppy bob....whether it will still be choppy and flicky tomorrow morning though...! Then eyebrows waxed....tiny ouch but not as awful as threading!
A wee dog came up into our back porch this afternoon....gave me a shock! No idea who it belonged to but off it toddled away again!
Have made a chicken a king - ish dish with baked potato and naan bread.
Made the most delicious peanut butter cookies and a caramel apple and pear sponge.
Have a good Thursday0 -
Let’s get ready to Rattle
If you look out of the southern window just now, you can see daylight. Just a note, BoP is away from the salt mine from 17th May. And as I have full control of the yellow thing, guess what! KK. Peep round the corner, they’ll be waiting for you.
5 Seems that every time we go away, there is some laughter to keeps us going. From Mr Mushrooms on our honeymoon. We watched some of that ogle box while we were away. No worry, we shall not be forgetting the ditched car. Clumsy or what!
4 Free lunch again yesterday. And guess what. Yeah, they were there again. Tuna and Sweetcorn. Me, hads a bit of the pineapple and strawbs.. As it was away from the salt mine, one can only guess if they are now encrusted.
3 Had a wobbleade wake last nite.
2 I see there is a video floating around on some website about a dog with a decent bite. Lesson to youngsters reading this. Instead of letting your so called friend go and drink too many wobbleades all day and your fixation with trinkets, it would be wiser and better to entrust your care into getting him home safely, rather than the encroachment of trouble. As for the dog, one hopes his Tetanus is up to date. As was explained, just after some barrack block was bombed back in 1980. Make sure you know how to get out safely. Sits down and reads another twit post on facebuck with regard stickers on the rear windows of cars. Really! Just remember that the handbags can be snatched as well. On and on and on and on and on and on.
