    3) remembered to spend my £1.20 till spit on a £1.20 load of bread at mr t
    4) walked home (saving bus fare), put out washing and sat down to write another chunk of my 12000 word chapter. Finished with culpepper, one of my heroes and now up to 5130 words
    5) supper then unwind time. Finally fpgot round to last 5 rows of last dr who square while watching 2nd part of generation war. Realise i have much to be grateful for. Then decided to let some of sparrer's will power rub off on me. ate 4 of the pack of 15 fudges :D

What a day! Here are my pleasures:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Porridge for breakfast.

    3) "Pound the Bounds" in the afternoon. This is a well organised walk round the parish boundary in aid of the Air Ambulance. Various length walks and as smaller son said, using footpaths and "briber ways". We stopped at the pub half way round for our sandwiches. Lovely and sunny and we got our certificates at the end.

    4) Bigger son found some wild garlic half way along our walk so we made that into pesto for tea with some olive oil, walnuts and the last little bit of cheese we had. Went very well with pasta twirls.

    5) My school friend came for tea.

    6) Then high excitement! Sons had gone on the field behind the village hall to play football. Came running in to tell us the door had been kicked in on the hall. Went to have a look but came to realise whoever had broken in might still be inside.... So we went to the keyholder's house (woke him up as he's going on holiday in the morning!) and we all went back to the hall. I was quite glad to see he was too scared to go in as well!

We could see through the windows (though it was 8.30 by this point so getting darker) that the kitchen had been ransacked and various other internal doors were open. The police came and sons were very proud to say they were the first on the scene and the police said "You did the right thing". :-)

From my windows, I can see the lights are still on in the hall now. Can't see the police car as there is too much foliage/trees so don't know if they are still investigating or if hall man is boarding up the door.

    7) Sons now in bed (smaller son with cat 3) so I'm catching up with washing and a whole day's worth of washing up.

Well done Friths for not barging in to the hall but being sensible!! Glad you're all ok, and yum yum to CCP's pizza, your wild garlic, and Sparrer's millionaire shortbread........my tummy's rumbling now!

    1. Sunshine - not that I spent much time in it....

    2. NSD

    3. Have written and spoken with DD about the paper airplane lesson plan. Part of me is worried that if the class are 'trouble' they'll just muck about, but I'll warn them that if they do, they'll have to sit and write dull instructions on I don't know what?! How to dry paint? make grass grow??

    4. More lesson plans for next week and starting to look beyond, as I only have a couple for next week and will have tons to do after that....

    5. Vera on TV :)

Beautiful autumn colours seen from my front room window, all shades of brown, orange, reds and yellows. Damp and a bit dismal but the seasons beauty shines through.

Started work and hour early, so drove and finished an hour early so drove!

It was our colleagues funeral today, those on days off went to the service, they said it was beautiful. Bumphergums ( she's alright now I'm used to her!) bought a single red rose from each of us. Colleague took her own life. She was 25. Seemingly with every thing to live for but she had depression that we as her coworkers did not know about. Whist this was at the back of all our minds as a possibility ( because of how she died) , none of us wanted to believe it could be true. So we were all devastated when my boss sent me a text after funeral. I feel for her family and for her friends, I hope she is at peace now.

Came home, ate chocolate and cuddled my children. I hope they never ever feel so desperate as to consider that as an option.

Will make spag Bol for dinner.

Have a safe and happy bank holiday Monday :)

    4) Isis asleep in a patch of sunlight. D'aww. :happyhear

    5) BOGOF pizza last night, so I have another one for dinner tonight.
Back after a very long break!

We is back, and BoPsie, who cannot sleep aleedgely heard as we were away for the wicked end of a week, a lovers tiff in the yard as I snored on. She was all a bit giggly as I munched on the Snorkers and fills. And Jam on toast. She mentioned a car, a nmes, a click of heels. Well, It was a bit wild on the fells the Suinaday in the forenoon. Buts off we went and through the underneath the Rail bridge, and along the track. There it was, the umbrella from the night afore, torn. Now I thinks why anyone would need an brolly at night, when it is cold and cold and wet (Ayes bin up Norff).

Alas, there it was. Soaked and in a ditch!

5 Just had a grate weekend, and a real fire, away with the great Ms BoPsie. And why is it whenever we stay in hotel, we always has to put our love hearts into the mirror in the bathroom. Job done.

4 Just love those little bags they elavce in the bath rooms as well. So handy for your fabs BoP's Shaving brush and Flannel. Stops the bags from getting wet. These hotels are so courteous!

    For yesterday
A silly o clock start but well worth it we spent the day volunteering and had a good laugh, and I got to pet and was rather besotted with a wonderful puppy.:D
Picked up a toy for the ferrets of a bric a brac stand it’s a toy bunny that walks along waggling it’s ears.:p
Resisted food temptation at home and cooked up a sweet and sour pork stir fry, was okish just not great.

    For Today
    1. We laid in this morning as we were shattered.
    2. Bacon buttie (grilled) for lunch.
    3. We went to hospital to visit d who has been taken seriously ill, and made a few family phone calls, not a pleasure very scarey:(
    4. Dh and I talking on the way home realised we would not be able to shop until Thurs maybe so was very surprised when we risked the local Mr T to find it open.
    5. I was feeling a little bit bad when we put all our RTC’s but then decided not to as it wasn’t like anyone else was there. When we got chatting to a lovely lady in front buying a lot of cake things, we filled up 8 bags and cost us £8, that was a lovely feeling both DH and I double checked the till amount thinking eh then wow.:D:o

Pk, well done on your mega-bargains! Hope 'd' gets better quickly and that things aren't as bad as your words suggest.

DD, the speed and focus with which you are getting those words down is impressive. :T You are making me really want to resume writing again.

    Kk, good luck for tomorrow.

    Five pleasures for today:

    1. Being on my own in the house today and running a bath (the first I have had in about four years so it was very special :rotfl: which sounds awful but we only ever had showers in the old house :D ). Took a cup of tea in with me, opened the windows so I could see real sky, sunshine and trees and listened to R4 report on how they did the sound recording of the dawn chorus at Coram Fields. Just lovely.

    2. Putting away all the washing I did at the laundrette yesterday (four bags full including a king sized duvet).

    3. Popping out to the shop and stopping to watch the local morris side dancing their May Bank Holiday set in the square. Have been hearing them walking past jingling bells on and off this evening so I'm wondering if they are going to do a night time/pub performance too.

    4. Putting away huge quantities of books while listening to a library audiobook of Anton Lesser reading Philip Pullman's The Shadow in the North. AL has such a lovely reading voice.

    5. Two daytime naps - think the past month has been catching up with me. :)

    Sweet dreams,

    B x
