My reasons to be cheerful today .....ah the cool air ( tis warm now) but ooo I needed a cardi this morning when I walked for my train :) blissfully cool! Halfway through the night OH had to put the quilt on as it was so cool. The last few weeks even a sheet has been too heavy. I am happier cooler.

Had a very productive day at work....changes are ahead. I think I mentioned a few weeks ago when I had started about interesting staff dynamics ...well think some proverbial may be hitting the fan soon! Watch this space! I had a good day though :)

Train home.its only a few stops and I enjoy the journey , passing the queue of traffic I would have been stuck in on way home was nice :)

And home with my dinner :) 3 cottage pies , which were yummy and a bacon and egg roll and sandwiches for girls packed lunches tomorrow and cakes :) these would just be getting thrown out so happy they were thrown in my direction!

Popped into the post office to buy stamps ( funnily enough) and had a nice chit chat with the nice lady who works there. I told her my favourite 6 year old collects the stamps from the mail I send her and she looked out a different stamp for her.

Home, shower and aahhhh slippers on. Quick zap in the microwave to reheat dinner and relax!

Do have a lovely Monday :)

  • All Good'n'Ruff after yet another nite on the bed of nails. Going to be prickly today, I can see you feeling it all now.

Chikka has Chicken for tea. Be car full now, you no want indigestion. CCP. Oh nose.& has gone Deep Purple. Rainbow was better! Double yoker. Not had one in a while, then last time, had a whole batch of them. Fairy cakes, hope no lakes. New boots to toot. Biscuits a loot. Torville and Dean, Shhhhh ... did they? Toe nails to sway. Less jabber, more blabber. Tea and relax. Boiled eggs, must be marmite Soldiers. Old man hated marmite, would throw the jar out. Once went home to find Mum BoP got me a present. In cupbored was fresh jar of the brown stuff. Vegemite was undherd of in them days. Late up, steak brunch and chocolate. Yous go far here BB. VJ you can move in, my pile of socks can walk. What, no coins in that pile! And more chocolate. Get inn. Chikka. Raffles, he is BIG. Cottage pie. Yes. A Bacon and Egg Banjo. Hope it was the dribbly variety.

No banjo for BoP. Just the usual cold claw sandwiches again. Is there no hope!

5 CCP. Seems Isis is a . Just Raffles is totally like his name, un skittled by anything. Absolutely fearless. Packs a Punch. He even chases water in the sink. And he parades for the vet. We use an old one of my vests in the cat cage. Works with most cats. They tend to like your aroma. Try it. Oh, and Raffles, he is not a fuss pot, more a ruff pot. But it is his house, we only feed him. Our previous rescue mog, Monty, was absolutely livid when he came, be soon was calmed down, flopping, especially over a BoP worn Tee Shirt.

4 Slack on form ladies, back on form. Took BoPsie to the wire last nite and she lost. See I tells yous lot she no win three on the trot. Convingly she lost, by 20!

3 Just upslated my matric at work. Enuff slick in it for another 6 months. No wanting mes to does me self out of work do we.

2 Nite is Pork pie and salad.

1 You cannot own a cat, just house sit for him.
  • Good evening all !

VJsmum- when I first saw your photo .. I thought cor it that lot what gets her through the marking? .... I like her style ;):D:p

    5 fortoday

    1. Red hen kicking off at 6am in the pitch black I might add, as she has "seen" the newbies in the adjoining run . I can imagine she is saying "Clear off!" without the "Clear" part !

    2. Bread maker doing its thing and the smell of HM granary bread wafting up the stairs a 4.30am...I don't follow the recipe as I did once and it turned out like a house brick . Half granary flour and half white flour. Much better and cheaper .

    3. Work ok

    4. Steak for tea cooked by OH :D Terrier is here and is just circling and circling as she can smell it cooking .

    5. It stopped raining after work :D:TCar not leaking since OH put some sealant round the rear light gasket last weekend .DFV how is yours???
    Have a good evening all!

BB-how could I have failed to foist yet more No More Books on you? Sincerely hope that i.d. Speaks Troof.
Not sure of current running tower total in/on/around bed - exceeds 3 figs for sure.

1...to which add today's rattlebag of Thomas Traherne poetry and a Ronnie Blythe I don't know. No idea how.

    2. These bad old ways were fallen into when I alit at my previous incarnation of Charity and ended up doing the day. It was good and 2 quietly said this turning up was the best thing for X, who has been very down. We share a late OH fate. She is still at the day-by-day,month-by-month compare/contrast stage. We had fun & laughter and cleared a mass of work. &will do Banks and Library demain. Might unload car too - glut of things had been saved for me, which apparently they still do.

    3. Lowered tone of sacred w8rs by entering portals for free cappu. Spoilt established precariat status, buying the rtc bresaola[gorgeous, had a wee taste] - down to 49p per kg! Had arrived light-of-head, fresh from deli after jokingly taking final rasher of rtc organic bacon for 2p. No signficants alongside these days to shrivel in embarrassment. Madame Sod-It strides ruthlessly on up the slopes of Summit Survival.

    4. Back-tracked to an older lady, to say how much I liked her coat and her wearing of it. She looked terrific; said 'It transforms me no matter what sort of day I've had - I love it, too.' Asked to guess her age, I knew it would be a surprise and so it was: 97 going on scant-70's. I do love to see older people who know no age and retain real visceral beauty, men and women.

    5. Friend's em re: passport pic at a village printing firm. Had never heard of them - not even after 10+ years in area. Delighted to have done so now. They are integrated with the young challenged adults I meet at other chosen outlets - bits of garden, birdfeed et al. £5, all done - hard copies and digital. Magic stopped short of transformation of sow's ear. Has anyone ever had a bearable p/p image?

    6. Well, who should wander in, same place, same time we reckoned, as a fortnight ago, only later to meet@w8r0s, also as a fortnight ago. Excellent meandering talk and world is now a sorted place, thanks to our mutual no-hold-back solutions. Agree next collision is prob. Rowley's next auction in a fortnight - as usual.

No promised return calls waiting. Hmmmphhh - I'll be speaking to you 1st thing...
Might head into NZ pp renewal territory, if cba.

Special 7 - :T:javoiding JAM as we speak:T:j will swap back for the Ha Archers, which jolly site fell flukily into my hand hier.
& failed to signal this trove, as required by Statute, will face her punishment like an amazon / fury/ harpie[choose carefully - majority verdict.]

'Ed and Emma had a golden opportunity to better their lives last week, when George packed a bag one evening and set out for Will and Nic's house. Instead of either moving, or changing the locks, Ed goes out to look for him and Emma rings Will.... '

    and
'At Bridge Farm, Tony continues to suffer from angst and self-doubt, saying things like "What do I have to do to make my own mother think I'm worth something?" My suggestions are either hypnosis or extremely strong mind-altering drugs.'

  • Blackbeard, I agree with you. A fresh jar of Marmite is a real pleasure.

    Mine for today.

    1. Car broke down at the weekend (just outside the house, what a blessing) so got up early today to have it picked up by the breakdown people and got some ironing done too.
    2. Mended some of DS's jeans yesterday, so he is one pair of jeans better off for the price of some thread and about 15 mins of my time.
    3. An unexpected hug from a difficult person at work.
    4. Coffee with a local friend at my house. She came afte work and we demolished some of the cake I baked for MIL and FIL yesterday.
    5. Emptied out my handbag and found two pairs of earrings. I take them off when I go to the hairdressers and obviously never retrieve them.

    Have a lovely evening folks.
  • No live Scrabble tonight, but Ms BoPsie, hath now lost three on the trot since Friday. She notes the level of the thrashing is down to the grissliness of BoP. This day, BoP was rather leading by a good street!

PQ We has just uncorked another pot of the brown stuff.:D:cool:
