    I've found two more:

    4) Found the coverage of the snowboarding on the 'delayed start' service - those snowboarders are utterly insane!

    5) Decided not to go to the pub quiz tonight, and it paid off when Isis mooched out of hiding and came straight up to me for a fuss, as if nothing had ever been wrong. :):):)

Have a good rest of evening, everyone.
Back after a very long break!
  • 1, CD2 got up in time for his College bus.
2, DH said he would sort the mountain of washing out as I was running late for work, and w Ben I came home, the washing was all drying fabulously on the radiators.
3, I was on an easy task on the Rota at work today, not too taxing ;)
4, so glad I prepared a beef stew before work this morning, cooking in the slow cooker for 10 hours.....the best .
5, Went for a swim and rather pleased with myself, swam 30 lengths
    keep smiling,

Just twitted and FaceBuck'd her cause. Well, got it linked I'm anyway.

Oh, a KK. You nose how to hit the spot. Apologies to Chikka. The space on my bottom is open to witty bits. The near knuckle, the beater.

    Evening

    Pleasures for today,

    1. That we are staying dry in our home when so many around us are flooded. Even those no where near the river are flooding due to water coming up out of the ground.
    2. Kind bus driver this morning dropped me off before the bus stop so I didn't have to wade through the flooding in the road to get back to the office
    3. Lovely lunch with a couple of friends, one drove so no waders needed.
    4. Walked home from work as the path was dry plus the bus stop opposite the office is under water.
    5. My family have all stayed safe and dry.

The conditions near by are pretty horrendous and while I never thought we would be at risk of flooding in our home at the moment we just don't know as seeing friends homes at danger of flooding or flooded. The local is in the news constantly at the moment and all quite scary. Praying that everyone stays safe and dry

Hope you're OK, CCP. Have had a few problems with anxiety myself.

    Glad all going well, Kittikins.

LFS - Are your 12 weeks nearly up? (Not that you have to run a marathon at that point!)

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Bigger son had a good day at school.

    3) Smaller son had a day off with tummy pains that eased off only after tea.

    4) We paid the allotment man after dropping bigger son off at school.

    5) Also stopped in town to look at the flood barriers. You would think (on the BBC) that the Thames was the only river in the world. Our defences have been up most of the time since 6th January.

    6) Booked myself onto a basics crochet day (tea and cake included!) in March.

    7) Made a start at doing some boring paperwork.

    8) Had second go at mending the washing machine (it's on now and sounding OK....) Bigger son had to do rugby on Friday (my least favourite sport) on a field that backs on to the river Severn - if the river water had actually been IN the river instead of swilling around all over the place, perhaps he wouldn't have got his PE kit so muddy and grassy that it blocked the washing machine up. His friend's washing machine got so blocked it can't be fixed!!

and 9) (drum roll) for two days in a row I have been feeling slightly better. No searing pains and sometimes up to half an hour goes by without a single burp. Don't feel like I have swallowed a house brick (though things don't feel quite right yet).

What to do.... see how things go? Cancel the gastroscopy? Blame the tablets I was on for a month? I had to come off them for the gastroscopy and have gradually improved since stopping!

    10) Holby!

VJsmum it was MINI flapjacks, only 1 cubic cm each, or so! Hehehe

Ampersand I realised that I have already signed that petition, thank you, a very important humanitarian issue.

    My pleasures for today:

    1. Excellent workout
    2. The fireplace people apologised and are coming to fix the stove (that they broke fixing the chimney) free of charge tomorrow
    3. Walk with friend and her sweet dog
    4. Easy babysitting, boys behaved very well
    5. Resisted urge of cakes while babysitting and of takeaway once home, cooked with DH. And it was nice!

    Good night
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Good luck VickyA - I hope your Inspector is a clone of my Head (who doubles up), she's lovely. Keep as calm as you can and we'll all be thinking of you x
