1. Was let out early from a seminar this afternoon....bit of a mix-up but in the end it turned out for the best for me and those of us who chose to leave rather than attend something that would have been deathly dull.....
2. One of my lovely tutors reminded me that it's not up to me to offer the world on a plate to someone, that they need to show initiative and ask me for information, which of course I'll happy give, rather than make more work for myself thinking of what they might need....
3. DD has been invited to another birthday party! She seems to have lots of lovely new chums
4. She's also lost another tooth and (shhh) the helpful man on the till at Sainsbugs gave me a £1 coin in my change so I could help out the fairy
5. Continuing to 'get better' from my recent bout of feeling low
Managed to get my first teaching job application in - just in time! I got the closing date wrong, so it was a good job I mosied over to the library computers to finish it off at lunchtime, as the cut-off was 4pm today!! Now for the wait to find out if they're remotely interested....0 -

Evening
Pleasures for today,
1. NSD
2. Packed lunches and breakfasts again for all
3. Another one that did Chilli for dinner but unfortunately none left as DD in hollow legs mode again.
4. Walked home with friend from the office nice to have a chat while walking. It was a quick walk tonight as was a bit chilly
5. Invited MIL to the theatre when we go during half term, she was a yes so bought her ticket today. DD doesn't like anyone else coming to the theatre with us as she sees this as our thing to do but she agreed that MIL needed a treat to look forward to so agreed to the invite. My DD can be a funny little thing sometimes.
Hugs to all who need them0 -

Hello, here are my pleasures today:
1. Gave myself a rare treat today, called my (very occasional) young cleaner/helper, I needed mainly someone to help wash off the mould from window frames. This is caused by condensation because I hate central heating in my bedroom and the consequence of the cold is this. She did a much better and faster job than I could ever do going up and down the ladder. And she had spare time to do a bit more around the house while I did other bits downstairs so the house is nice and clean. DS helped too by hoovering stairs and corridors. And I am glad I gave the young lady a much needed bit of work, too.
2. Managed to get into a yoga class at lunchtime because of a last minute cancellation
3. Sunshine!
4. Laundry dried in the garden on the line.
5. The days are visibly getting longer.
6. Nice dinner with DH, lentil and barley soup that I cooked on the woodstove last night.
7. DH heard from DD, we hope she is getting some sense in her life.
Good night all xFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hi all
A tough night at work and my eyes are closing so a quick five.
1.dd3's application all sorted for primary school, phew glad she is the last
2. Refreshing snooze on the sofa only an hour but it restored me.
3. Dinners and days planned for the rest of the week. Everything must work to schedule as i am doing days and nights, we have activities, afterschool clubs , a trip to the theatre and a stoopid tube strike to contend with!!!!
4. hm toad in the hole and hm flapjacks for pud.
My kids just dont know how lucky they are!
5. A nice clean bed to climb my v weary body into.
Hugs to all xxSIMPLY BE-££577.11:eek:

ampersand hope all goes well.
Almost bedtime , have been off today and had a busy-ish morning and evening but the laziest afternoon ever, I was so lethargic.
Woke up at 4 am , got up and pottered and then dozed on the sofa ( probably why I was so tired this afternoon). Phoned MIL, mum and friend.
Tidied up ...again! Washed, ironed, hoovered, shredded paper. All things on list ticked.
Snoozette.
Made a chicken curry and naan bread. Dough sat on window sill to prove in the sunlight.
Spare part for car bought ( from scrappy) for 1/8th of the price of a new part and with a guarantee.
Watched benefit street ( to see what everyone's been talking about) and call the midwife.
Have a lovely day0 -
