Frith adding my congratulations on your 'winning' an allotment, it will give you hours of pleasure and lovely real fresh food - and backache but that pales into insignificance when you're reaping the rewards
ampersand wishing you a speedy and successful recovery
Caterina a little help around the house can make you feel so much lighter
Kittikins congrats on your 'official number'
1. was able to be supportive yesterday and help a friend move - couldn't do much but I part-cleaned both flats. Felt sorry for the removal men though moving her from one 2nd floor flat to another. Strangely all the removal men had the same name, got very confusing and very funny after a while
2. have been able to be supportive for the past week or so to a close relative who is going through a very distressing situation at the moment.
3. Have given the muttley a good groom this evening as he's going on holiday overnight tomorrow. It will feel very strange having the king sized bed all to my 5 feet nothing self!
4. Got a new loo seat (current one broke at the hinge) which cost nothing as I used Nectar points
5. Yellow thing was bright and cheerful for most of the morning
Sweet dreams0 -

Bagpuss - our reviews have changed names again and are now called performance development discussions or as seem to be more commonly known how much more work can they load us up with.
Frith - Well done on the allotment. I like the idea of growing things but just don't like gardening and have a habit of killing any plants that I get near.:o
Pleasures for yesterday,
1. Kept up the good work of everyone taking a packed lunch and breakfast. Mine was pasta with roasted veg, yummy
2. Some food left from a meeting in the office so have a portion of lasagne in the fridge for today's lunch
3. Went for a walk at lunch time with friend and we finished up in Waitrose for a free hot drink. Nice to get out of the office for a bit.
4. Finished a major part of the project I have been working on for months. It has been very boring but necessary so glad that part is done just need for people to sense check my work and do a test restore and I can get on with the next stage.
5. Bought MIL birthday present, it isn't her birthday until the end of March but I wanted to get tickets for Miss Saigon which she loves so have booked some to take her in July. Glad to have it sorted as they seemed to be selling out fast.
Hugs to all who need them0 -
Snags, just like Vegemite. Cheap Aussie import. And who put beef into sausages needs shooting. Rites enuff said. Is Snorkers round here. On the subject of food, BoPsie does not like trifle. Nor crusted custard either. She has not had a decent upbringing. Gos as I gots a rant on this very lunch.
10 years ago, we had global warming, it snowed last winter
Today we have climate change, my nana called it bad weather.
And it is a good job I no longer pay the ogle tax. Watching the thirst, of problem an Overlord of ventures on the Great War. The first programme missed out the bit about the assassination of the Duke, Germany’s pact, and the fact they had to knock the frogs out in round 1. Even though it was only forty years since they had done so. So the second, well, it just gets less and less and less factual. Yes, it mentions the Pals, and why it was thought about, yet failed to mention the bloody massacre at Verdun. Nice intro to the first battle of the Somme. B0LL0CK5. Wonder if next week, he will mention what happened after this battle. Tactics were changes, especially by Haig. In the first battle, it was believed that after a week of artillery, the men would just walk into the … What changed, later was the way the chess pieces were organised, especially the artillery and rolling barrage, when the shells would land in front of the men as they walked forward. There are others who talk that we only entered early, because the government would had fallen. Perhaps we should had let Paris be taken again. Last time we meddled on the side of the Prussians. And it was not until the Great War that the banners from Prussia were removed from the Duke of Wellington’s tomb in St Paul’s.
Gluten free ham sandwich or chilli for tea, Ah, Lemon Drizzle cake. Only thing Wicked Witch of the frozen North could do. Shame she moved to Aberystwyth! Nite on the tiles. When? Mr T. We got some coupons, Only problem is, you has to spend £50. Normally spend that amount there in 4 years! Supporting Sparra. New Throne, with hinges! Something for the weekend?, no that is the gents barber! At it Bag Puss, it is for you to do. Like it TL. Reviews. Had a lad, well old buffer. Company changed to PDRs. One question was, where do you see yourself in 5 years time. He answered in two words. Not Here. He retired on that, but try and put that into the all-encompassing Computer. Dippy eggs for supper? Final book, I am not a number. Attem. Orange dinner? SNORKERS you lot. Right, I have dug enuff round here now. If I did not get to you, I did read. Hugs to those indeed.
5 Ms BoPsie grabbed a couple of Crumpets yesterday in the emporium, and I got a bottle of wobbleade. At the checkout I asked if she had her purse, and she said ‘I passed you your …’ Good job it was in the car. Now I am not sure if she is getting forgetful. Do you think I should call the Doctor?
4 At least the glass of wobbleade was ok. May even go for a Snorker Bun later, got that CCP, SNORKER. Not me who is changing the world.
3 I have set up the bucket and spade for Easter, so there will be lots of yellow bits around.
2 Nite me and Ms BoPsie. She is in for her eye test soon. She is going to be like BoP, a Speccie …
1 step, do it right, then everything else is second best
And finally.
Ms BoPsie has rescued our bin. If she created a mess, we would have something to weigh it down.0 -

1) NSD, despite it being almost literally an NPD - I eventually decided I (just) had enough to tide me over until tomorrow so I didn't have to stop on the way home.
2) Took lunch into work, and very nice it was too given that it cost me well under £1. :money:
3) Another very quiet day at work so I spent a couple of hours clearing the competitions board again.
4) HM curry for dinner, and it's a portion LO from one I made a few weeks ago so just needs sticking in the microwave to defrost.
5) Having a naughty evening - no studying, and a bottle of apple wobbleade.
Hope everyone's OK and not blown / washed away.Back after a very long break!0 -
