    1. RAFAAAA!!! - imperious, glorious! Roll on Sunday. I'm delighted. Quick cut-away from Sue Barker. Another & Can't Stand.
    2. ...only 5 mins after ALBION finally triumphed, Captain Cooked.
    3. Big NZ famberley call.
    4. &'s survivor mimosa has flower bracts budding. Pretty lilac wallflowers out. Indoor hyacinths sudden take-off, pink flower tip showing this morning. Smelly box does, divinely sarcococca. Ditto lemon verbena leaves, still stubbornly green and re-sprouting. All noticed while putting out bread for robins and blackbirds.
    5. Feeling hopeful - signs and portents which lift the heart.

    For everybody:
    Ā, upane! ka upane!
Ā, upane, ka upane, whiti te ra!

Big Smoke, roadshows. Sis OK, we hopes. Every day, new dawn. That one is over. Lentil Soup, good for body.Sparra, you no let the side down, them Canadians have banned Marmite! Beach birds, beach birds. Get that marmite in yers lass. And yer &, we Cooked!
I see the man who sings next to the piano has been lifted Boy Racer!

KK. Be carefull out there, Ms BoPsie wasn’t and look at her now.

Here is your 5 a day

5 Rolled oats as usual. Snorkers are readied for the morning. All the glory, morning story.

4 How was the town for yous lot. Did you see our can. Well, it was camera club last night.

3 And back tonight is basics. Helping out the newbies. Some old literature there last night.

  • LFS: Same here with purple sprouting broccoli,
Ampersand: You are so right, and Congratulations.
KK: That’s lovely will you meet up with him?

I will leave the pleasures below, as they were there before the time turned awful. We had to take our old gal Wispa to vets this afternoon/evening, as she just laid on the floor looking at me, then stumbled and fell. We decided while there it would be kindest to put her to sleep, while I know it is the right decision, it doesn’t mean I can see the screen for the tears at the moment.

    For Thurs
Stuck to the diet but did/do feel hungry.
Applied for more jobs, (there’s a theme here)
Errrm I have done absolutely no tidying the upstairs of the house is literally a tip, I will do it just not over doing it.
    Enjoying spring watch
Wore a cardigan I picked up in a sale and it I so cosy.
    For Fri
1.Up early for a doctors apt before working from home
2.Worked from home and fitted in applying for jobs, Friday is always a bad day for job hunting
3.A couple of free kindle downloads, “the sacred cipher” and “want to know a secret”
4.Stayed on track still food planning to the point of obsession,
5.Able to tidy the tip that is the upstairs, it really needs the carpets washing rather than just hovering but not today, tidied wardrobe and changed bedding

Vicky - Ah Lakeland, full of things you never realised you needed

    Pleasures for last few days

Day off was great - built chest of drawers, built bookcase, got car mended but now the radio is broked, did 3 loads of washing and cooked tea. I might be better off at work. Still did get to watch Call the Midwife and Musketeers. To whoever asked - I thought Musketeers was very watchable Sunday night tele, action, humour and pretty men. I have no idea how close to the books it is or isn't though
Finished knitting the back of my jumper and started a sleeve
Did some mending of odd garments
    Had coffee with friend
Did one lot of marking on train to York. 2 hours on train, 15 minutes in York station and 2 hours back. 15 exam papers marked:T One, minor, NSS "Otherwise there will an accidental accident":p
Put the Rotaire cover back on washing line after it blew off in wind before Christmas. Had to take it down today though as it is going to get windy <<insert "tut" smiley>>
    Tacos for tea
Flights booked for easter boat holiday in southern france. We wanted to go by train, but various events that are happening beforehand mean we haven't time.
I may get to go back to Colombo in March, though I am not holding my breath (not least because it is a long time till march to be holding your breath :p)

DD wants to go and see Benny boy in August Osage County tonight, though I am feeling a little under the weather. OH has gone to help his mother move, which I am guessing has happened by now.

    Have a lovely evening all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • PK- ((((((hugs)))))) massive ones :(

LfS - love your quirky posts :D

Mcculloch- Well done to A.R and his connections :THe is a stunner .

    a few for yesterday

    1. Site visit went on and on so lots of flexi now owed to me so intend to take a day off next week .. must ask my boss first though:rotfl:

    2. Not a pleasure -someone disclosed something to me in confidence that I am duty bound to report .. which needed to be done immediately hence the lengthy day. The person wanted to share this will me and for me to report it and I explained that once I had done this other professionals will need to be involved and would need to speak to them and that they were very brave to disclose something that had caused them such distress .

    3. Had the terrier stay over for the night.

    4. Store cupboard home made prawn satay - peanut butter, milk , sweet chilli sauce and soy . Had this with noodles .

    5 for today

    1. Day off

    2. Got a lot for a little in Li*l . Not done a food shop for two weeks so quite impressed:D

    3. Used money off vouchers in Mr. T on items that were already on offer :DReverbed 2p in there too

3.Found an ancient pizza in the freezer that I had for tea . It was fine.

    4. Took terrier to the park and had to bath her as she got filthy

5.Catching up on stuff on iplayer that I fell asleep through last night.

    Oh (((((Pk))))) that's so sad.

VJsmum, I will try to remember to consult you when the Kelly Kettle savings pot is getting close to being spent!

Today's been a bit more upbeat for me than yesterday so five pleasures for Friday:

    1. A stunning rant of an email from someone involved in the same sport that we do - she's definitely ranting off the same song sheet that we are and about the same stuff. Her rant was so over the top it made me laugh. :D

    2. Walked to the library, returned books, and ordered a couple more. Have decided that it's easier to smile and say hello to people along the pedestrian only lanes iykwim, so am looking for more and more off road routes. One old guy looked so pleased when I said hello to him. :)

    3. Completed my pedometer steps for this week. Upping it to 4750 tomorrow. Yay!

    4. Chatting with DS2 in the car on a very long, rainy, traffic-jammy drive back from town later on in the afternoon. Sometimes slow traffic can end up being quite pleasant when it enables conversations. :)

    5. Looks as if we have found a solution to getting DS1 on an essential course - we could find nothing that didn't clash with other commitments - but it looks as if a different organisation might be able to squeeze him onto something they are running. Sigh of relief and fingers crossed.

Have lovely evenings and sweet dreams

Big hugs PK xx and Broomstick xx
and to everyone else who would like one, I'm in a huggy mood!

    1. I'm still (still! it's been a couple of days since my random meeting and it feels like a very long time) chatting to the 'perfect stranger' and still not sure if logistics, my fear of going out for a coffee with a person of the opposite sex who has professed to finding me attractive and interesting will be overcome. That, and the fact it turns out he's 12 years younger than me! Is it my time to be a cougar? Time will tell, but it's nice to have some attention :)

    2. My daddy feels rather poorly and was pretty ill last night, which is not a pleasure; but the pleasure is that he has been sensible and took himself off to bed very early tonight.

    3. Due to my daddy's poorliness, he asked me if I could do the school run this morning, and thankfully, I could! Yay :)

    4. Had a good chat with DD's teacher about a few things; she's such a nice lady. Hope I'll be as calm and collected as her when I'm a proper teacher.

    5. Have told one of my uni chums about the 'perfect stranger'; it's nice to have someone to chat to. Turns out she's trying her hand at internet dating for the first time. As I'm an old hand at that malarkey, and have been on first dates with all kinds of 'fabulous' (not!) gentlemen, we had a laugh about how people send very old pictures and then are surprised when you notice the difference between the 1980's picture and the 2014 reality ;)

    6. Bought some nice rose wine whilst doing some food shopping on the way home tonight. It was also on special offer, and will probably last me a week, so quite money-saving!
