ccp - I wondered from the off whether damp was causing your putah probs? Also, pending re-emergence or not of those rtc yellow callas<w8rs last year, I've today seen bags of 15 in £land...wonder how much they are:p.
Any i/v feedback yet?
broomstick - love blokey-crochet idea. & will marshall and tutor. My Grandfather was shot in one hand in WWI and during convalescence[when he met my nurse grandmère to be], knitting was one of the physio skills taught to men with such injuries.
lfs-you're still a month today away from your up&at'em date, so back off a bit. There's been increasing big activity - ain't allowed....yet.
1. I'm a bit bogged down with various peeps' situ's atm, so am not having much difficulty looking forward, guiltless, to being away for consecutive w/e's. Really am pleased with all the Mr T voucher finessing. Might go truffling early Sunday in the old fruit market for a little offset objêt or two. It's been good for me up there before.
2. 5p x 2 reverbe's, both outside the Bank - one on way in, another on way out!
3. Picked a few rainbow chard leaves on way in, washed, ripped, lay them in soupière, covered with thick w8rs ham, an egg, grated cheese. 3 minute zap - luscious.
4. Ann Cleeves on Women's Hour. Like her, like her writing. New book out - Harbour Street. Good news. & no.14 on waiting list at Cambridge Central Library. More CCL - 'phone msg advising arrival of derailed biography of &'s auction subject. Wracking and harrowing but good - R4 afternoon play today.
5. w8rs taties down to 25p again. 4 lots dropped off en route back, and remembered neighbour's bunny carrots. Rubbish can wait till demain - otherwise creatures rip it open before bin men come.

Better start brushing up my Pilou Pilou for samedi.......and Scotland have unfortunately drawn the ABs in the Rugby Sevens later this year. I will not be betting against my men in black.

Still a bit ill. :-( Strangely, the raising the bed thing is the general consensus but the symptoms nearly go if I am lying flat! No logic there. Second to lying flat is standing up/walking around. Worst is sitting up as I feel like my stomach is "crumpling up" and something has got kinked.
Anyway, pleasures for today:
1) No ice this morning.
2) Had hair cut at college - £3!
3) The builder didn't phone :-( but in a way I was glad because I keep changing my mind about what I want done. I only have a small amount of money and want to make the most of it.
4) Brother phoned.
5) One of our favourite teas tonight followed by apple crumble. So many different bags of apple in the freezer thought I must use some up (also ploughing through different bags of soup!) Made the crumble, mid eating it found it was one of the rarer apples and quince bags. Very tasty.
6) Going to go to bed just now and listen to Mark Steele.
In slightly related news, I noticed that Miles Jupp will be appearing at our local town hall in February (we NEVER get anyone famous!) so pondering about whether to go and see him. I wonder what his stand up act is like?
Nearly forgot something momentous for today! Bigger son got in the car after school and said he had been talking to his best friend in class. Then his friend suddenly said, "M, what's happened to you? Have you got a cold?" In the space of a few minutes, his voice had broken! None of your squeaking then booming, it's just low all the time! I imagine it might end up lower than this but its quite unnerving listening to him. :-D0 -
DforV: The weather station has a lovely blue led background, so blue background – blue sky maybe, I’ll resist breaking into ELO’s Mr Blue Sky. Ohhh what are you venturing into the “big smoke” for.
CCP: Ohhh very exciting let us know.
Chicken: So sorry to hear of the outcome, but they have a way to grieve now.
Ampersand: Had a nosey at the Scottish links and fantastic MSE way of doing it.
Our ferret “Aero” is loving being extra special,:rotfl: touch wood now as his antibiotics have started, as if he doesn’t respond it may be a heart issue and as you can imagine not so operable on a small animal.
1. I went into work, and people were genuinely happy to see me which was nice, work well tis paid.;)
2. Went out at lunch just to get out for air and bought some fruit as forgot any snacks.
3. Got back to a lovely top I took a gamble on instead of another top from Joe Browns and it really is lovely, but one to hide away for the summer.
4. We went to Mr T as we needed to animal and a shop for ourselves, and had to learn to shop differently now we are both dieting, makes me realize you can get into bad yellow sticker habits as well, but lots of salad and vegetables very reduced to meal plan around.:T
5. The builder phoned and spoke with DH who is very happy. He’s coming around with a Howdens catalogue and to arrange for someone from Howdens to come around I am excited and daunted.:D
6. I’m shattered a pleasure because I haven’t slept at all well, to the point it would be insomnia for the past month, it would be nice if it is passing.:)0 -

Popping in to say hello, I know I can't find 5 pleasures today . It's been 45o the house is baking, we have one cool room in the house and I've been watching second ww farm most of day and enjoying that.
We've just had a dip in power, lots of places have had total power cuts, so I really hope we don't have that as that means no cool areas in the house!
Take care and have a good Thursday0 -
Singapore lil, jangling tils. Poorly pets, no trip to vets? Books and fires. Look no spare tyre. And come on, I booked sum for Easter. Check it!. Oi, and that hat what dio you call him from ELO wore of TotP! And delish chocolate as well. Chicken tikka. No that be speciality of BoP. Put the kettle on, there is free coffee abound somewhere! Mhags. I know you’re not Aussie, but get down to them, and get our ashes back. It is just not cricket.
But, cheese in an omelette, no, no, no, no, no, and agaim, NO!
All the tree are green
Almost.
5 Raffles, has explored everywhere now.he has been seen taking the toy luv Me bear off the back door window. A good more than a paw up. Not only that, but the hob extractor, and wall unit in the kitchen is not amiss from a visitation. Now have to be carefull with pans of boiling tar.
4 Ms BoPsie quite proud of herself after getting a massive bottle of comfort for £3. I has never seen her tinkle like that for a good few years .Anyhows, I offered her a seat in the shed last night. It has paraffin heater to keep tootsies warm
3 Curry Thursday beckons, should be a rum quencher. Washed down with lashings of tea and naaaaan beard. No claws today as it is national curry day.
Gosh run out. Must be hard at the mine this morning, but any old sailor is worth their salt!0 -
Had an incredibly bad day at work,:( being a temporary person the only way I can do anything about it is to put up, shut up and get another role, I know each role probably has its own useless person, bully, but I need a new one..:rotfl:
1. Got back and applied for jobs, about to apply for more after dinner
2. Kept on the diet – somehow, but feel chuffed I didn’t cave under quite extreme pressure.:D
3. Bad food planning I’ve missed today's evening meal so it’s an omelette with a bit of baguette thou not sure if the omelette is ok for diet?
4. Just paid up for the pilates course ouchy but nice to do something productive to er not sure if its relax or get fitter yet.:)
Can’t think of a 5 just now as still trying to “get over” the work day….
Thought of a 5, the stunning moon tonight is amazing with the clouds rolling across it.0 -
Frith - hope you're feeling a little better now. x
It should have been a busy day at school, but I suddenly felt completely exhausted so I wasn't terribly productive when I was on my PPA time. Therefore I'm trying to catch up this evening.
Our cleaner has been today. Not OS, I appreciate, but DH and I both work full time and I often work each evening doing school work whilst DH studies for further IT exams. However, she's on holiday for the next 4 weeks (lucky thing!) so we will at least save some money (and we'll do the cleaning ourselves!).
My pleasures for today are:
1) Supper was spag bol from the freezer. Hardly spent a thing this month having had a freezer full.
2) The Book People dropped a box into work and I bought a really fab looking book from Weight Watchers. The same book is £15 on Amazon!!!!
3) Really must fill the charity bag for tomorrow. It's for the local air ambulance shops, so I know it's a genuine charity.
4) Loving the @farmersoftheUK Twitter account. So informative, even as a farmers' daughter it has taught me loads this week about the life of a dairy farmer. A different farmer takes over the account each week; last week it was a hill farmer in Wales. Fascinating. (doubt they'd want my brother who is just a bog-standard arable farmer!!).
5) Been watching a few old clips from Only Fools and Horses. RIP Trigger.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
